-Chapter Start-

'I wonder who Otousan is bringing over...' Seven year old Mitsu mentally wondered as she finished putting the main dish and side dishes on the kitchen table. humming quietly along with the soft music playing in the background - coming from the TV that is on a music station.

Normally, a seven year old shouldn't be cooking over an actual stove, so it's a good thing she isn't actually seven. Ever since she could convince Moji that she should be the one cooking instead, she made sure to take over the kitchen after she read every book about cooking and cookbook she could get her hands on. It had taken a few weeks before Moji stopped fretting over her as she went about cooking, but it was worth it - if only because now both could eat healthy and filling meals. Not to say that Moji made them both go hungry, it's just that he wasn't the....best cook.

He's made eggs catch on fire. He's burned water. He's almost cut off his fingers, hands, and even his own nose.

He once made nothing explode. He put nothing in the pan, yet the pan still exploded somehow in someway.

This wasn't even the time he cooked something and it came alive. Sure, Moji stabbed it until it stopped moving in pure panic, but it's still not a great sign. So, usually, before she started cooking for them both, they lived off of Hikaru-San's cooking or take-out. Mostly take-out or the neighbors' cooking when they take mercy on them after they moved.

After she started cooking, she always made sure to cook extra. That way, the next morning, she would have to cook less and just use leftovers for their lunches. Although, even while using leftovers, she made sure to pack them into the bentos as neatly and stylish as possible given what she had to work with. She didn't want to just lazily throw the food in them after all, and her Otousan deserved a nice lunch when he was away working so hard.

For dinner, besides when her friends and their parents are over, it's always just the two of them.

So, Moji telling her that she needed to make another plate was a surprise. It wasn't like her father to suddenly say that someone was coming over without warning. Maybe it was someone he works with? That's a normal thing to do, right? To bring over work associates or even their boss?

Either way, Mitsu made sure to prepare three main dishes just in case of allergies. While grilled fish was a normal main dish, fish allergies can happen. So she made sure to also prepare Honey Soy Sauce Chicken and Stir Fry Vegetables. This way, she covered the basics of allergies and had a backup if it turns out the quest is vegetarian or vegan. For the side dishes, she made miso soup, grilled tofu, rice, and pickled leeks.

Let it not be said that Mitsu doesn't do her best when she has been given a job to do.

Taking off her pink apron that had cute bunnies and strawberries on it, Mitsu put it away before putting away the stepping stool and little ladder she used to be able to reach the counters or cabinets. Straightening her lavender blouse and pink shorts that had little white bows on it, she made sure that there was nothing on her white tights that had pink bunnies and strawberries designed on it and pink and purple house slippers. Seeing nothing, she sighed in relief. It meant she didn't have to worry about changing.

A good thing too, as just a second later, the front door opened.

"I'm home~!" Moji's voice cooed out happily, the sound of the door shutting sounding after.

Gulping, Mitsu quickly went to the front doorway, pausing when she saw just who her Father brought home.

It was an older man, looking to be in his sixties or seventies. He had pale skin that was slightly wrinkled, yellow eyes, grey hair gelled back neatly, and a neat grey mustache. He wore a black suit that had no wrinkles on it to be seen and had a black cane in one hand.

The man noticed her staring when he glanced up after putting on some house slippers. He looked up and gave a kind smile, like one you would see on a kind grandfather. Moji quickly beamed at her once he caught sight of her.

"Mitsu-Chan~!" Moji laughed, skipping to her. "This here is one of my clients! His name is Itai Shotto!" Turning back to Itai, Moji beamed as he gestured to his daughter. "Shotto-Kun, this here is my lovely light, Mitsu-Chan!"

While Mistu was gaping up at her father for his rude manner of addressing the older man, said older man just chuckled and gave a polite bow to her, making her quickly do the same.

"I-I-It's n-nice t-t-to me-meet you, Itai-San!" Mitsu quickly bowed, panicking mentally and praying that she wasn't coming off as rude. This here was one of her father's clients, someone who he is supposed to help. If Itai ever says something to the higher ups about Moji's less-respectful attitude, he might get fired. Yet the chuckle indicates that everything so far is fine.

Honestly, Mitsu has no idea what is going on.

"My, what a polite little lady." Itai laughed softly, eyes crinkling as he smiled. "It is nice to meet you as well, Mitsu-Chan. But, for you, you may call me Shotto-Ojisan or just simply 'Ojisan' if you like. No need to be so formal with me, you don't have to my dear. And Moji-San, I know this is your daughter. You have been bragging about her ever since I met you."

Moji just laughed while Mitsu was too flustered by the fact that a stranger was more than willing to let her call him by his first name and call him 'Grandfather'.

But, it also gave her a bit of a happy flutter in the heart. She doesn't have grandparents, or at least, she doesn't know them at all and doesn't feel comfortable with calling two people she has never met, if they are not dead, grandparents. She's never asked about Moji's parents and doesn't really mind if she never sees them or knows about them, just like with the woman who has birthed her. She knows nothing about them, but that doesn't mean she doesn't want a big and happy family. Family is also more than blood and sharing DNA, it's about the bonds and love between them all. Having someone come in and stating that they were willing to be a part of her family, it made her happy.

Because someone like her doesn't deserve such a nice family, but that doesn't mean she doesn't want it.

"O-O-Okay, S-Shotto-Ojisan!" Mitsu quickly blurted out, giving another bow in thanks. It made Moji coo at her and Shotto chuckle in amusement. Giving a gasp, Mitsu remembered the food she made in a snap. "P-Please come in! D-D-D-Dinner is r-r-ready!"

"Mitsu-Chan's cooking is the best, Shotto-Kun!" Moji brightly told the older man, following behind his daughter to the kitchen. "Because of the limitations, we can't go to a restaurant. But my light's cooking is better than any chef's! You got the best reward there is!"

Mitsu thought to Nobu's father, Noburu Gomu, who is a professional chef. She has seen him cooking many times, and had no delusions about her own cooking skill, which isn't anyway near his level. Still, it made her blush at the praise.

"Anything is better than what they usually feed me." Shotto blandly stated, making Moji laugh in agreement.

When all three were in the kitchen, Mitsu paused, fiddling with her skirt in fear of what the adults would say about her cooking.

'What if I made too much?! Oh, no, what am I thinking?! Of course I made too much!' Mitsu mentally gulped, twitching as doubt started swirling in her mind. 'Who makes this much food for one guest? Doesn't it look desperate?! What if he thinks that Otousan is forcing me to cook?!' Oh that thought didn't really hit her until then. It might be weird to others that a seven year old is cooking full course meals and might have suspicions on why said seven year old is cooking at all. She just hopes that Shotto doesn't think that Moji is abusing her in some way.

But, after truly stopping and thinking about it, who in their right mind would think that Moji - a man that has a smile that could rival All Might's - would harm children. Not just her, but any child at all. No matter her doubts about making her father look bad, even she knows it is silly to think that someone would accuse him of abuse. One worry off her shoulders then.

Still doesn't help her worries on making too much food though. Everything wrong she does reflects on her father after all, and she wouldn't want to make him look bad.

"Oh my, it seems like I've gotten a feast!" Shotto's warm voice cut through Mitsu's worried thoughts. Jerking her head up, she relaxed at seeing the two adults looking happy about all the food on the table.

"Wow~! We're going to have leftovers for sure~!" Moji cheered at the thought, as while he loves his daughter's food, he also loves to save money when he can. All the better that he still gets to eat Mitsu's cooking and save money at the same time when it comes to leftovers.

"Now don't be so sure about that." Shotto warned the younger man as they all went to sit at the table. "This is the best food I've seen in a while, I'm not about to let this go to waste."

"I'd be insulted if you didn't eat your fill, even if it's all of it!" Moji laughed while Mitsu stammered out in embarrassment over the compliment on her cooking.

"Thanks for the food!" Moji called out after laughing, not wanting to waste a moment. Shotto did the same, with Mitsu shyly doing the same.

With that, they got to eating. The adults humming in delight and saying how good the food is.

It made Mitsu's heart warm and face go red at it all.

--------------------------LATER--------------------------

"Mitsu-Chan, are you going to become a professional ballerina when you get older? A competitive dancer? Or a gymnast of some kind maybe?" Shotto asked from where he sat on the couch. Moji, after eating their fill, made the two of them go into the living room while he washed the dishes and put the leftovers away. Luckily, the kitchen was open to the living room, connected to it, so they didn't have to walk far.

And, after sitting, Shotto decided to strike up a conversation with the shy little girl who was sitting straight on a loveseat across from where he sat. The older man recalled Moji talking about all his daughter's lessons, and seeing the various trophies with the girl's name on them, he knows that it isn't empty boasting when the other man stated that his daughter is talented.

Mitsu, on the other hand, doesn't think she is talented at all and feels like a cheat in a way. She is after all, mentally older than other children around her age, so she really felt she was cheating in a way. In fact, if it wasn't for all her friends, their parents, as well as Moji himself, asking her to go into a competition when she was just five, about six, she wouldn't have started anyway.

The competition was a simple dance one, with the contestants ages being between five and ten. They would do their own dance routines that would last a few minutes at the most while five judges would watch and grade them. The highest grade would be the person who gets first place, getting a money reward. Second and third place would also get a money reward, only less.

Mitsu honestly thought that she would go in, fail, and that would be the end of that. She didn't think she could handle all the stares that would be judging her. But then, Moji gave her some advice.

Close her eyes, concentrate on what she needs to do, the music, and let everyone feel the story her dancing will tell.

While she might not understand the last bit of the advice, she did take in the first three. In essence, she outright ignored the people and judges watching her dance when she got on stage to do a ballet performance. And as the people in the crowd made sure to be silent until the end, it wasn't hard to do.

Of course, when she was done and behind the curtain once more, she nearly threw up and fainted, but at least she got the performance done without any true issue. After that, it was waiting for everyone to finish, the Judges to finish their grading and then to let everyone know the results.

Mitsu truly thought she would get last or maybe the one above last if she was being kind to herself. Her dance wasn't complicated or interesting, and there were other contestants that have been dancing long before her. It wasn't like she had time in her last life to take dance lessons like she can in this life, so truly, other children - especially the older ones - have a leg up on her and many others.

So, needless to say, Mitsu froze when her name was called up for winning second place.

It was only when Moji went crazy in the crowd, along with her friends and their parents, did she move up, nearly tripping a dozen times and so hot in the face that she felt dizzy, and take the little silver statue with a ballerina on it, her name, and the cash reward. The first place winner was a ten year old jazz dancer, and the third place winner was a duo of nine year olds that tangoed together.

After that win, she couldn't really say no when her various teachers in her lessons asked her to compete in the various competitions even if she wanted to. And everyone looked so happy when she competed. So even though she wanted nothing more than throw up every time she went on stage, or got ready to do some gymnastics, she closed her eyes or focused completely on the music. Ignoring all the stares that made her skin itch and made her want to run and cry at the same time.

It jumbled her mind and made her a mess every time mentally, but she'd do it again and again to see everyone's happy faces when they see her before and after a competition. And it was fun at times too, especially when her friends enter the competitions as well or they do one together in some way or help one another out. Mitsu has more than once did a duo dance with all her friends, and there were even a few times that they did a group dance. It made it easier to ignore the crowd and staring when she danced with someone.

It still did embarrassed her that Moji made sure to put up the various trophies, papers, and other items she's won in competitions though.

He even put up the various certificates that stated how far long she was in her first-aid training, and how she was certified for certain things. Like giving CPR and treating minor injuries to helping setting bones.

It wasn't like it was anything special, anyone can do these things or win competitions. She didn't see the point in showing it off.

"N-No..." Mitsu softly shook her head in negative in answer.

"Oh? Well, that's a shame, if the Olympics still happened, I could see you being a top runner in the gymnastics portion on behalf of Japan once you got older." Shotto hummed, gently smoothing down his mustache in thought while Mitsu shook her head in negative at the never thought of someone like her representing a whole country. "Then, what career do you want?"

Shotto felt something in him freeze when the little girl finally looked him in the eye. In her eyes, her could see himself in them, they shinned so brightly.

"I...I'm g-g-g-going to....to be...a h-h-h-hero!" While stuttered, the words held steel in them. Laced and hidden, but Shotto could hear the determination behind each syllable. He could also hear Moji in the kitchen stopping what he was doing to listen in.

"A hero, hm?" Shotto smiled, but he made sure to not laugh. Every child wanted to be a hero after all. But, something about the way she sounded.... "And why is that? Do you want to be a famous hero like All Might?"

"I....." Mitsu's eyes widened, yet not once did she look away. Shotto was impressed in a way.

"N-No...n-not l-like A-All Might. I w-want t-to m-m-make e-e-everyone fe-feel safe. N-Not b-be l-left al-alone in the s-silence o-or d-d-dark." Mitsu slowly stated, hands twitching and eyes glazing over. Yet, Shotto felt like someone poured cold water over him. "B-But I-I d-d-don't need t-t-to be f-f-famous. I-I d-d-don't w-want to!" Shotto leaned back, eyes widening as those big black eyes looked at him, saying everything and nothing at all.

"A-A l-life is pr-priceless. E-E-Everyone i-is w-w-worth s-s-saving an-and he-helping."

"Even a villain?" Shotto couldn't help but ask, only to freeze at the answer he got.

The girl looked at him in pure confusion at the question. "O-Of co-course th-they are. Th-They're h-h-human t-t-too."

'Many would call them monsters and just leave them for dead. That or not care at all while the heroes just do it all for the fame.' Shotto was old enough and has seen enough, done enough, to be cynical about life as a whole.

Yet, looking at this little girl that was stuttering on nearly every word, Shotto couldn't help but see what was good about humanity in her. Most children would just say that they would defeat the villains and that would be that, that punching them all like All Might will solve everything. It was as if villains were sudden not human in a way. And while, yes, he could see some villains being lower than dirt, that doesn't mean every single one of them were. No one looks at the villains and think 'They need help' or 'Their life is worth something'. And to say otherwise out loud is asking for trouble and most likely to get yourself labeled as a villain yourself.

But here is a little girl, looking up at him with eyes that made him want to reflect on himself, saying it out loud with no hesitation.

Truly, Mitsu takes after Moji in being different than the rest of the masses.

"Hmmm... If only I met you when I was younger." Shotto whispered in a chuckle before looking up with a warm smile and eyes. 'Your father named you right, little light. I hope that you reflect the future and guide the way with your light. If so, then the future doesn't look so bleak to me anymore.'

This here, this girl in front of him, he could see becoming someone important. How refreshing to be looking the very future in the eyes. The next generation truly was so interesting. Or was it just this one girl in front of him?

'Time will tell. After all, I get to see it all happen with front row seats.' Shotto looked to Mitsu with a smile. "Ah, while you have a long way to go, Mitsu-Chan, I can see you going far." Tilting his head, he chuckled. "Are you aiming for U.A.?"

"A-Ah, y-y-yes, Sh-Shotto-Ojisan!"

"Then tell your Ojisan about your studies, won't you? Schools must have changed a lot since I've last been in them. And U.A. only takes in the best of the best of course, so I want to hear how far along you are - I'll help you in any way I can, my dear."

"Y-Y-Yes, t-t-thank you!"

------------------IN THE KITCHEN------------------

"A....hero...." Moji blankly looked down at the bubbles in the sink, hands still in the water yet no longer moving to clean any of the dishes anymore.

'My light....wants to be a hero? A Pro Hero?' Moji could feel his very heart stop.

Being a Pro Hero wasn't a pretty job, and one that doesn't always have a nice pay to it. It's a mix between a police officer, private agent, and maybe even military officer in a way. Mercenary work, but within government control. It's a job that comes with a nice death rate too, which is the main cause for worry for him right now.

It wasn't that he thought that his daughter would be a horrible Hero, or couldn't be one. He knew she could be a Pro Hero, one of the greatest - but he also was realistic enough to know that she would be in danger. Every Hero is in danger once they start.

There was a chance that he could lose his daughter, his light, his everything, too quickly if she became a Pro Hero.

But, on the other hand, it wasn't his right to stop her. There were so many roads and paths she could have picked for her life, and this is the one she wants. Not all roads lead to the same destination after all, and he can only hope that this road will only have a few blocks on it. Mitsu was too bright for him to hide away from the world, many would flock to her, he knows it. Both good and bad and neither.

It was like when she danced or did a gymnastic routine. She shines so brightly that he can't help but stop and watch in awe whiling thinking that he couldn't believe that helped create someone so precious.

Mitsu has the makings of becoming someone great and good.

He only can hope that he doesn't lose her.

Because before Heroes became an actual job, and sometimes even still, the true heroes are the ones who died for something or someone. The ones that will always be remembered, even to this day, are usually the ones that died doing something great.

If Mitsu dies before him, Moji could fully admit that he would most likely go insane. As any good parent would. No parent should have to bury their child.

Noticing his hands shaking, Moji took in a deep breath, calming himself.

Yes, he wishes that Mitsu would pick a different road to take; a safer one, but he knows she won't stop. If he begged, then maybe she wouldn't go on to become a Pro Hero, but he can't do that to her. It's her life to live in the end. And no matter what, he would be proud of her.

Besides, in his mind, no one could be a better hero than Mitsu.

Not a Pro Hero who struts in front of the camera for fans, but an actual hero.

Slowly going back to washing the dishes, Moji couldn't help but smirk.

He can only hope that the his parents and that woman who gave him his light will see how great, how good, and how far Mitsu will go. Calling his little girl an "it" and "Bastard"? Telling him to get rid of her? Well, she'll show them all and he'll be right there laughing in their faces if they ever decide to try crawling to them, trying to get their favor after all they said and done.

Because, when it comes down to it, he's petty like that.

Listening to the talking in the living room, Moji beamed as he finished up washing. Drying his hands, he twirled around, heading off to where the talking was.

"Mitsu-Chan~! Shotto-Kun~! Who wants some ice cream for dessert~?"

---------------------------------------------

After that, Mitsu found that the kitchen table was always filled. Sometimes even having to eat in the living room as well because of how many people were over.

Not just Shotto, her friends, her friends' parents, herself and Moji were at the table. After Shotto came over, Moji started bringing other clients to their home to have dinner or just hang out.

Kowai Yurei, a woman around Moji's age that was literally white all over. Her eyes, long hair that she always had up in a bun with some of it hanging out of the bun, skin, all of it was purely white. Yet, she smiles and laughs with so much color filling her voice, how she acts is not colorless. Especially as she is very mischievous at times as well. Yurei has pranked everyone at least once, or scared them for giggles. A very outspoken, headstrong, and might come off as rude, woman, but it was nice having her around. She filled with air with noise in a way.

Mada Nami, a boy a few years older than her. Although, with his height, he looked to be a few years older than what his actual age implies. His skin was pale with a blue tint to it almost, hair so black it was dark blue and it was long and spiky with some of it covering one of his eyes, and said eyes were sharp and colored like the deep ocean. He always wears sweaters, gloves and pants no matter the weather, keeping himself covered at all times. Nami is stern, stoic, and almost never phased. Whatever is thrown at him, he can find a way around it - even if it's very outside the box. Showing as little emotion as possible, and at times looking pained by being surrounded by so much insanity when everyone was in the apartment at one time, it says a lot that Omocha is his best friend.

Kokyu Omocha, a boy a few years older than her, about three years in fact. He had wild spiky blue hair, pale skin and eyes that looked like black buttons. He also had a bunch of different colored buttons in a ton of different shapes and sizes all over his body; In his hair and on his skin. On his cheeks, for example, were smooth red buttons, looking as if he was forever blushing or had red cheeks. Mitsu soon found out that Omocha loved toys with everything he has, and wasn't afraid to share them. While wild, ditsy, and more than a little crazy if the ideas he sometimes comes up with have any indication, Omocha clearly was nice when he didn't hesitate to share his toys, bring toys to give away, or smiled just seeing others playing.

And as Mitsu got older, more joined.

When Mitsu turned thirteen, two three year olds joined the table.

Ketsueki Ken, a little boy with snarl and ready for a fight in a moments notice - the type of attitude you'd expect of a up and coming delinquent. Yet, as she got to know him, Mitsu found him sweet behind his toughness and was just very overprotective it wasn't funny, although he was harsh in his protection. Ken eyes were totally blood red, no eye whites in them, tan skin with a lot of scars on them - which made her worry so much, but Moji told her not to worry, he has it handled -, sharp teeth much like Ryuu has, sharp nails, and short wild blood red hair that spiked in every direction.

The other child was Dorai Sakura, a child who bluntly and dryly told everyone they were gender neutral, and that was that on that front. Sakura is a child of few words, shy around everyone and when they do talk - it comes out soft as a whisper, bluntly, and dryly. With long, touching the floor in fact, pastel pink hair, grey almost dull looking eyes hidden behind their hair, pale skin with a grey tint to it, tall in height for their age and stick thin, almost gaunt looking, and with their legs from the knees down to their feet, and the palms of their hands looking like they smeared mud on them, Sakura was striking to see.

Every single one of the people who came and went in their apartment, Mitsu came to love. While she might not know about their past or why they act in certain ways, she loves them - Quirks, quirky actions, and everything that they do for her she loves with her whole heart.

She loves it when Shotto gives her advice and pats her head. She loves it when Yurei makes sure to be extra loud when the woman notices her not liking how quiet it was. She loves it when Nami gives her piggy back rides or helping her study. She loves it when Omocha brings her a new stuffed animal that he made himself for her, filled with his love. She loves it when Ken calls her Oneechan, even if it comes out harshly, and hugs her. She loves it when Sakura calls her Oneesama - although she has been trying to get them to drop the 'Sama' part, but Sakura isn't budging no matter how many times she says 'Chan' is fine - lets her brush their hair and put it up in various hairstyles, braids, buns, and styles.

She loves it when Moji is smiling happily and laughing. She loves it when Ryuu is grinning and showing off his designs for future support items he thought up. She loves it when Nobu is happy and laughing while playfully fighting with Ryuu and others for whatever reason. She loves it when Osamu's eyes soften and takes the time to help her through a problem.

Mitsu truly loves her big family that seems to get bigger and bigger as time goes on.

Family doesn't have to be blood, it can be a choice. And she'd rather have a big happy and loving patchwork family than a cold, harsh, and abusive blood family with only a few in it.

While she might not deserve this happy family, she doesn't want to let it go.

How selfish she is.

But she is already a worthless bug, what's one more negative to add to what she is?

So, even if the years are hard, even if everything is trying to bring her down, she can't help but smile. Because, waiting at home is a wonderful, big, happy and loving family. A wish she always wanted and now got.

Not even school and it's harsh environment could bring her down.

In the end, Mitsu soon found out that her smile in the face of what she deserved is what broke the camel's back for someone else.

---------------------------TIMESKIP--------------------------------

----------------MITSU; AGE 14----------------------

Bullying, when it comes down to it, is a horrible thing no matter how you look at it.

When a child pulls another's hair, it's not because they like them.

When someone plays too rough and doesn't stop, it's not just because they are a child or don't know better.

Bully is a form of harassment. Another type of abuse. A type of crime that no one really sees or tries to stop.

It is a invisible, sneaky killer. One that has killed more children than any other thing or person has.

It's something that Mitsu has had to deal with in both lives, but never did she think that it would get of out of hand in this new life.

In her old life, there was a huge anti-bullying policy that was enforced harshly because the school had a image to maintain. It doesn't matter if the parents could pay their way out of it, the boarding school's image was more important than a bit of money they would get from another parent when they want to send their child their way.

In this life, while there is a policy and law in effect, the teachers either don't notice the bullying, don't care, think she is the one in the wrong, or are apart of it.

{She had just stepped into the classroom, only to get a bucket of black paint dumped on her.

Frozen, all she could do was listen to everyone in the classroom laughing at her. Laughing at her now ruined clothing and school supplies.

Frozen, all she could do was watch as the teacher, the one who is supposed to help guide and protect her while she was learning under them, laugh as well. As if seeing a child being humiliated was the most funny thing they could ever imagine.}

It's a good thing that her father wasn't someone who was easy to get rid of. Because without him, the bullying would be worse then it ever could.

{"I have photographic evidence about it all." Moji's smile was cheerful, but his eyes screamed murder. The principle was visibly sweating and squirmed under the man's stare. "I don't care if you want to maintain your school's image, either you do something about this, or I will send it to the local news station and newspaper. Hell, if this goes on, I'll have enough evidence to involve the police."

"Is that a threat?!"

"Oh, I thought I was being clear. It's not a threat, but a certainty."}

Without her friends, Mitsu could see herself giving up too easily to her inner thoughts. They were her heroes every single day along with her father.

{"What the fuck you think your doing!?" Ryuu roared out, quickly hitting the other boy away from his best friend. "Touch her again and I'll fry you all to a crisp!"

"Corning Mitsu-Chan like this - you cowards!" Nobu yells, knocking one student flat on their ass after roundhouse kicking them in the face. "Criminals in the making!"

"Mitsu, stay still." Osamu gently orders over the fighting, taking a few photos with his phone for evidence before his eyes start to glow. The various scratches and bruises on her fading.

One attacker gets the bright idea to try and attack them while Osamu was healing Mitsu.

That attacker soon found out that Osamu not only took first-aid and dance classes - he also took Mixed Martial Arts classes since he was six years old.}

With them all in mind, it was easy to ignore the one who decided to start the bullying and not stop it since she was in preschool. Kaori Riri, along with her two friends U~indi Sora and Furizu Mizu, have tried hard to bring Mitsu down.

{Riri got her wish on her Quirk being her hair. One day, she came into school with her hair being gone, and instead had sprouts on her head. It took some time, but those sprouts blossomed and flowers bloomed. Eventually, flowers became her hair. As it got longer, it was like looking at a wall of flowers. Her Quirk - Natural Perfume - let her release various natural aromas with various effects. The drawbacks were that it attracted bees, made the user lightheaded and dizzy if used too much, and sensitive sense of smell.

Riri loved trying to use them all on her. One time even trying to release a sleepy aroma in a middle of a big exam to try and make her fail, which only experience of having many sleepless nights and fear of falling asleep saved her from actually going to sleep right then and there. Or that time she made her go into a daze and locked her in a closet for a few hours before her friends could find her.

Mizu's Quirk came in not long after Riri's - being named "Snowfall". It gave him the ability to create and control snow/snowflakes. Drawbacks was that it could dehydrate him if used too much, he needed to drink a lot of water to be able to use it for long periods, and he was sensitive to heat/fire.

Mizu loved to drop snow on her all the time. One time actually burying her in it and nearly giving her hypothermia. He didn't try that again after Ryuu nearly set him on fire.

Sora's Quirk - Breeze - was all in the name. He could control wind currents to a small degree, enough to knock someone off their feet. Drawbacks was that it took energy and concentration to do, and that he had to hold his breath when controlling the currents.

He's tried to embarrass and harass both her and Nobu, using Breeze to try and flip their skirts or make them fall in embarrassing places. The only saving grace was that both Nobu and her wore tights under their skirts all the time.

While more might join in the bullying, those three were the main ones and always have been.

It makes Mitsu wonder what she did to get such hate from them that only burned brighter as time went on.}

Jokes on them though, Mitsu can't get any further down than she already is.

She's already worthless trash that doesn't deserve to be alive, yet she is. No need to tell her or show her what she already knows.

knowing all this, it was too easy to go about her day even with the bullying.

Tacks in her shoes? It was simple to take them out, and she can just keep the tacks, take them home, and use them. It's like giving her a gift in a way.

Taking and hiding her stuff? She turned it into a game of hide and seek in a way, like a scavenger hunt for them all to play in. Made it less likely for Ryuu, Nobu or Osamu to go on a different kind of hunt for the one who decided to hide her things.

Hitting her/kicking her/pushing her down the stairs? She's felt worse pain. Her death haunts her in ways that she couldn't even begin to explain to someone - all the pain she has felt in this life so far has nothing on Then, so thus it is easier to retrospect it.

Leaving horrible messages on her desk/locker? Already knowing how horrible she is makes it simple to go about it all. She knows the truth already, and they're telling her what she already knows. It's easy to just smile at the words.

Leaving a flower on her desk/giving her death threats and messages/telling her to die? Honestly, she's a dead girl walking already. It's only a matter of time, but hopefully, she'll be able to do one good thing before that happens.

No matter what was said or done to her, Mitsu went about it with a smile. Because, quite frankly, she knew she deserved all the hate there was. She knew it was the truth, so she just took the words and actions and tried to go on about her worthless life.

It was in the last year before she would try getting into U.A. that everything came to a head.

-------------------------------------------------

"I'm thinking about taking the Department of Management." Osamu bluntly stated to the group. All four of them were sitting outside under a huge tree as they ate their lunch.

"But I thought you wanted to be a medical doctor and Pro Hero like Recovery Girl?" Nobu frowned in confusion, munching on her rice.

"Yeah, did you change your mind or something?" Ryuu asked while he continued to pour insane amounts of hot sauce on his food. Mitsu looked at the food in concern, hoping that Ryuu one day Ryuu doesn't find the one thing spicy enough that even he won't be able to handle.

"No. I'm still going to become a medical doctor and Pro Hero. I don't need to take the Hero courses to take the exams to get a Hero License and I don't need to take the course to get a medical degree." Osamu factually explained, pausing to take a sip of his green tea. "But, if all four of us want to start our own Hero Agency one day, one of us needs to know how to run it. The Department teaches everything from founding one, managing it, producing heroes, and hands on lessons in capitalism."

"W-Wow!" Mitsu clapped her hands in awe at her tall friend. "T-To do a-all that! Osamu-Nii i-is s-so sm-smart!" Because doing all that without burning out, and planning ahead like that, was truly the markings of someone smart and crafty.

"Our own Hero Agency!" Nobu grinned just thinking about it. "Osamu-Kun running it while being our very own doctor hero, Mitsu-Chan and me being heroes, and Ryuu-Kun being the leader of our support team - I can see it now!"

"A leader of a whole support team...." Ryuu looked to be in awe before grinning widely. "Man, and Mitsu-Chan and you all will be using my designs! I'll be protecting you all in a way!"

"M-Mhmm." Mitsu nodded with a smile, pushing her worries about the future away for now.

"And of course, out of all us, it was either going to be me or Mitsu-Chan who'd be learning how to run the agency. I can handle the extra work, and Mitsu-Chan already stated she's aiming for U.A.'s Hero Department, so it's not hard to see it was always going to be me. I can teach her later about running one just in case something happens to me, sharing my books and notes. The two of you wouldn't be able to handle it though, so I won't bother." Osamu mercilessly stated without hesitation.

"HUH!?" Both Ryuu and Nobu yelled out together, growling at Osamu who just looked back at them like they were too stupid to understand what he just said. Mitsu put her head into her hands, giggling silently and mentally hoping that a fight, even a playful one, doesn't breakout. They were still on school property and the teachers might not like them fighting even if it is playful.

"Why are you guys so loud?"

"Well, you know what they say; The stupider you are, the louder you are!"

"heh, then those two are dumber than rocks."

Gulping, Mitsu slowly lifted her head - humor long left her at the group that just strolled up to them. There, a few feet away, stood Mizu, Riri, and Sora. Riri's hair, or flowers that made up her hair, went down to mid-back and her pink eyes were glaring at them all. Mizu's black hair was still short but styled nicely, and black eyes looked at them so coldly. Sora's hair was still cut in a bob and his orange eyes burned as he snickered at them all.

With a sinking heart, Mitsu could only hope that a fight didn't break out. She'd hate for any of them to get hurt.

"Please, Riri's the loudest student in the whole school - so what does that say about you?" Nobu scoffed, rolling her eyes.

"What did you say you flat chested bimbo!" Riri took a step forward, pink eyes flashing as her face twisted into a snarl.

Ryuu quickly dove and caught Nobu before the teen could go for a hit. Osamu pushed up his glasses, making the light reflect on it and shade his eyes. Mitsu rubbed her hands together, looking at the two groups weary as she bit her lip.

"Nobu, we can't start a fight here!" Ryuu lowly growled, holding not just Nobu back but also himself. How it grated him that someone was messing with people he counted as his own. "We'll get in trouble!"

"Just say your piece so we can leave. I am sick of the stupidity in the air here." Osamu stated firmly, picking up the lunches and trash.

When Riri just glared at her, Nobu finally stopped fighting Ryuu. Once he let her go, Nobu frowned at Riri before scoffing. "You know what, you're not worth it." Tilting her head, Nobu looked at the three as if they were dirt on her shoes. "After this year, we won't ever see you again. It's obvious that you three aren't going anywhere, where we are going to go places. We're going to U.A., planning to graduate after working hard for what we want while you three will be lucky to be accepted in any school with the way you act. You are nothing but cowards, bullies that get their kicks out of harming others." Nobu shakes her head in disappointment. "I wonder if you'll change? If not, then in a few years, I might be one of the ones arresting you for harassment."

"Harassment?! I'm not doing anything wrong you bitch!" Riri made to hit Nobu, who looked at her like she was stupid for saying what she did, only to freeze when suddenly Mitsu was in front of her, blocking her way.

"P-P-Please s-s-s-stop!" Mitsu gave a scared smile, hands tightly held to her chest as she shivered in fear. "T-T-There's no ne-need to f-f-fight!"

Riri just stared at her, making Mitsu's smile even more strained and her shivering worse. Something was very wrong.

"Riri-Chan?" Sora asked in worry, sharing a glance with Mizu, reaching out a hand.

Riri jerked her arm away from the hand, spiting on the ground right in front of Mitsu, who flinched back.

"Why don't you do the world a favor and take a jump off the roof?" Riri spat out, swiftly turning to leave.

"You know, you've been saying those kind of things for years. When compared to Mitsu-Chan, who hasn't done a thing to you, maybe you should think about doing the world a favor and leaving the school district so we don't have to see your snarling face every day." Osamu bluntly and dryly called out.

Riri froze mid-step, and for one horrible moment, Mitsu thought a fight - one that would end in blood - would break out.

"Yeah, Kami-Sama knows no one wants you here!" Ryuu growled out, hands in fists.

"We're tired of your shit!" Nobu also called out, shaking a fist in the air.

Seeing Mizu and Sora snarling, and Riri still frozen, Mitsu tried to do some damage control.

"P-P-Please s-s-s-stop!" Mitsu looked to her friends with worried eyes. "L-L-Lets fin-finish lunch i-inside."

"Tch! Fine, for you Mitsu-Chan." Ryuu quickly gave in as did the other three. Getting their lunches and trash from Osamu, they started walking back to get inside the school. Nobu sticking out her tongue all the way down to her chin as she passed the three. Osamu didn't even glance at them. Ryuu sniffed and snarled, showing off his sharp teeth in warning. Mitsu, on the other hand, gave them a small, shy smile and looked at them with wide, worried eyes.

Something in Riri snapped.

Jerking around, Riri screeched out "I DON'T NEED YOUR FUCKING PITY YOU WORTHLESS BITCH!" before running away in a huff. Mizu and Sora quickly following after her.

The group of friends watched them run off.

"Man, she needs some professional help." Nobu bluntly said, making Mitsu face-palm.

-----------------AFTER SCHOOL-----------------

"Y-Y-You all c-can go a-ahead of m-me." Mitsu gently told her friends, gathering her papers and putting them in her schoolbag. "I-I have t-to t-talk to o-one of the Senseis a-a-about th-the homework."

"If you're sure...." Ryuu said hesitantly, glancing outside to where it was now starting to rain.

"Just make sure to call us when you get home, alright?" Nobu asked in concern, only letting up when Mitsu nodded in agreement.

"Stay safe." Osamu ordered, making Mitsu smile and nod. With that, the three left.

Left alone, Mitsu started to softly hum to herself as she finished packing up after a few minutes. Now it was time to head to the teachers' office to go ask a few questions about the work she was given. Heading to the door, she only slid it open a bit before someone rushed past the door.

Flinching back, Mitsu blinked before sliding open the door further, eyes going wide when she saw a girl with flowers for hair turning the corner sharply and running for all she was worth up the stairs. Taking a step out of the classroom, Mitsu frowned to herself in concern. Glancing around, she saw that there was no one else in the hallway, and she knew for a fact that Riri usually always walks home with Mizu and Sora. There was also no reason to go up the stairs, because none of them have classes there and none of their teachers are there.

Tensing, Mitsu bit her lip.

Something......something was wrong.

With a heavy heart, Mitsu stepped out of the classroom fully, slid the door shut, and started her way to the stairs.

Even if Riri beats her up for sticking her nose in her business, Mitsu wouldn't care. Not with how something in the very air feels heavy and wrong.

It wasn't hard to follow the sounds of the taller girl's footsteps. With how hard Riri was running, it echoed. And when a certain door opened and shut loudly, Mitsu knew that the teen had went out onto the roof. Frowning in confusion, Mitsu couldn't help but wonder why this was. Riri wasn't known to hang out on the roof and there was no reason for her to be up there.

With the bad feeling growing, Mitsu rushed up the last two flight of stairs to get to the door that lead onto the roof. At times like this, Mitsu wished she wasn't 4'0'' and instead over 5'0'' - longer legs would definitely help her with going up the stairs quicker.

When her hand touched the handle, Mitsu gulped before jerking it open and stepping onto the roof - only for her blood to go cold. With shaking hands, Mitsu's face paled as she blankly looked at the scene in front of her.

There was Riri, her shoes off and neatly sat by where she was trying to climb the fence that was around the roof to make sure students didn't fall off. Her schoolbag right by her shoes.

'Suicide.' Came the cold logic before emotions overtook her.

Without thinking, Mitsu ran and dove with tears in her eyes.

-------------------------------------------------------------

"W-What!?" Riri couldn't believe this was happening to her. Jerking her head to look down, her heart stopped at seeing it was Mitsu who ran and grabbed her by the waist, trying to pull her down.

"Let me go you idiot!" Riri tried with all her might to try and shake off the other girl, but she wasn't budging. Tears started to gather in her eyes while she struggled, heart racing.

'Why.....?'

{"WHO WAS IT?!"

"I'M TELLING YOU SHE'S YOUR'S! I THOUGHT WE'VE BEEN OVER THIS!"

"WHO ARE YOU KIDDING?! SHE LOOKS NOTHING LIKE ME!"

Shivering, pink eyes watered as a little girl no older than three curled up in a ball on her bed, hands over her ears as she tried to block on the yelling.}

Trying to blink away the tears, Riri gasped in one of her hands slipped.

'Why?'

{Flinching at the bruising grip on her wrist, she chanced a glance over her shoulder as her mother dragged her away.

The girl with the Quirk she wished she could have was beaming with a whole group of other people. One being the boy with a monstrous Quirk, as dragons were always the bad guys in the fairy tales.

Yet, the girl picked him over her.

A sharp tug on her wrist forced her to look forward, dreading what was to come when she finally was home.}

Falling and crashing harshly over top Mitsu, Riri didn't waste any time. Going to get up and try to climb the fence once more, she was stopped when Mitsu quickly reached up and forced one hand to intertwine their one of her own, and her other hand reaching out to grab her shirt.

'Why?!'

{"YOU'VE BEEN DRINKING AGAIN?!"

"LISTEN YOU BITCH, I BRING HOME THE MONEY SO I DECIDE WHAT HAPPENS TO IT!"

A child sits and listens to the yelling and breaking glass, blankly looking out her window - only to go wide eyed when she catches sight of four certain children around her age running past it.

So happy.

So free.

Even when they past her window, she looks at where she last saw them with blank eyes. Mind going back to a girl with purple hair and black eyes and a boy with fiery red hair and golden eyes.

'That should be me.'}

Before the hand could grab Riri, she reached out to her schoolbag and fought against Mitsu's hold. Grunting, Riri screamed as she pulled something out. Before Mitsu could do anything, Riri shoved into her, forcing her to lay flat with Riri over top of her with Mitsu still having one of her hands tightly in her own. Looking up at Riri, Mitsu gave a sharp gasp.

In her free hand, Riri held a pair of scissors, pointed right down at her and ready to strike down with them.

'WHY?!'

{Flashes of her parents screaming at one another, screaming at her, came to her mind. How much hate there was in her house. How no matter what she does, there is no cheering them up. Her father hates her, doesn't think she is his. Her mother resents her, thinking it's her fault for not looking more like her father.

Looking at Mitsu, who just keeps smiling even though she throws the worst at her, tries to hurt her, even once trying literally beat her down, all Riri could feel was her heart getting heavier and heavier.

She's pushed the other girl down the stairs. She's tried to sabotage her at every turn. She's poured water and paint over her head. She's turned whole classes against her. She tried everything she could to break her.

Yet, Mitsu still smiles.

Looking at Ryuu, who smiled in joy and called Mitsu his hero without regrets, all she could feel was anger.

Because.....If Mitsu saved Ryuu...then why.....}

Tears falling from her eyes, hand and scissors shaking, Riri looked down at Mitsu with small eyes. Rain softly falling on them as the sky above them rumbled.

Then, one shaking hand reached up, lightly touching her face. With a sharp intake of breath, Riri looked down at Mitsu in shock.

"Y-you....have p-p-pretty eyes...." Mitsu softly stated this, a gentle smile on her face. "P-P-Pretty hair t-t-too... I-I w-wish my Q-Q-Quirk was li-like your's."

Face twisting, the scissors dropped, clattering to the floor. Sniffing, Riri gave up, slumping on top of Mitsu, screaming and crying.

'Why didn't you save me too?!'

A sob catches in her throat when a hand softly ran through the flowers that made up her hair.

"R-Riri-San....?"

Riri wanted to laugh. Here she was, being comforted by the very person she has tormented for years. She wasn't stupid, she knew her actions were nothing short of criminal. While she might have called others villains based on their Quirks, there was no denying that she, herself, was a villain based on her own actions.

{"You bitch!" Riri snarled, slamming the smaller girl into the wall. "You think getting a better grade then me makes you better than me?!"

"N-N-No!" Mitsu quickly shook her head, shaking with tears falling down her eyes.

Scoffing, pink eyes narrowed into a deadly glare. "I don't believe you."

*CRACK*}

Mitsu had every right to hate her and fear her in equal measures.

Yet, here Mitsu was, tightly yet gently holding her hand with one hand and the other hand running through her 'hair', trying to comfort her.

'I'm....a horrible person.' Sniffing, Riri clinched Mitsu's shirt with her free hand. 'Yet....even if I am a villain....'

'I want someone to save me!'

"I....I don't want...to go home...."

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Why people become bullies is a complicated question - because, it could be for a variety of reasons.

It could be as simple as them not knowing any better and no one telling and showing them that it's wrong - or even them taking it as encouragement when no one calls them out on their bully or tells them it's wrong.

It could even be a darker sort of simple; where the bully just simply enjoys inflecting pain onto others no matter if it's wrong or not.

It could be because of jealousy as well. Seeing someone doing so better than you and you just want to bring them down.

But, most of the time, it's because the bully has something going on in their personal life. Anything from stress, bottled up emotions, to coming from a broken and/or abusive household. They are lashing out because of something going on with them, maybe even trying to make someone feel how they feel.

It could be a mixture of these answer, it could be none of these answers for why someone becomes a bully. But, no matter how you slice it, bullying is wrong and can have disastrous consequences for both the bully and victim.

And, even if it's a bully, that bully is still human at the end of the day.

That's why Mitsu didn't hesitate to try and comfort Riri.

Even if she sounded weird or perverted when saying she liked her eyes and Quirk, she had to try at the very least. Besides, it wasn't like Riri did anything really bad to her. It was Mitsu's place in the world to be the worst after all. Even when those scissors where poised above her, ready to come down, Mitsu found herself not scared. Almost numb in a way, thinking that this was it, this was the end of this life.

But, when Riri stated she didn't want to go home, Mitsu understood all too well what the other girl wasn't saying.

In the life before, Mitsu never wanted to be home with her parents for a variety of reasons. It's why she studied so hard to get a full ride scholarship to a boarding school that even her parents couldn't say no to or take her out of for whatever reason even if they wanted to.

Even now, a life and world away from them, Mitsu can still hear and feel the pain those two brought her. Just because they brought her into the world didn't mean they had the right to do whatever they wanted to do with her. And not all parents should become parents. But sadly, it seems that the people who don't deserve to be parents are the ones who do. Even in this new life it seems to be this way.

Abuse is a horrible thing - and something Mitsu wouldn't wish on anyone.

So, with no hesitation, Mitsu got up, kept a hold of Riri's hand, and lead her to her home.

And when they finally came into the apartment, to be greeted by cheerful yet suspicious Moji, Mitsu knew that everything was going to be alright for Riri.

Especially when Moji, with just a few sweet words, got Riri to talk about her parents and home life, and got Moji's eyes to sharpen even if his cheerful smile never wavered.

-------------------------------------

"So, your the girl who has been bullying Mitsu."

Riri flinched back from where she stood in the corner, jerking to find a taller male with long black hair looking her up and down clinically.

"Mada Nami." Nami introduced himself shortly to her.

"Her....older brother?" Riri asked hesitantly, because she was finding it shocking that Mitsu had such a...colorful family. From the teen who set up a army of stuffed animals for them all to cuddle with and two little kids that made Riri shiver and keep an eye on them at all times, to an older woman who seemed like an actual ghost at times with how silently she moves and a elder man who's eyes made her freeze before he chuckled, Riri found that Mitsu had quite the family.

One that made her a little jealous about.

"I guess you could say that." Nami shrugged, face stoic. "Now, why is her bully here."

Biting her lip, Riri glanced to where Mitsu was. The other girl was listening to the teen with buttons all over him arguing with a little kid with all red eyes and hair with a small smile while she was brushing the pink haired kid's hair. The adults were nearby as well, talking in soft voices.

"If....If I'm a bully, then that makes me a villain, right?" Riri asked with a humorless grin, not pausing for a answer. "Then, I'm here because the hero brought me to justice, Mada-San."

Nami tiled his head before giving a light scoff. "I heard the adults. If anything, you're a villain that Mitsu saved rather than brought to justice. The girl is too kind for her own good, saving someone who has done her wrong. But, I suppose, that's what an actual hero does."

Without waiting for a response, the teen was moving to join the group sitting on or around the couch. Leaving a stunned Riri, who gaped at his back.

'Mitsu.....'

"Kaori-San?" Riri blinked at Mitsu's father who walked up to her with a serious look in his eyes, but a wonderfully cheerful grin on his face. "I'm going to make some calls, but I wanted to let you know that you don't have to worry. I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that you don't have to go back to them unless you truly want to." He then turned around with a twirl. "Shotto-Kun~! Yurei-Oneechan~! Can you two order in some dinner? I'm going to be busy for a while and Mitsu-Chan has had a long day already."

Watching it all happen blankly, Riri felt tears starting to gather in her eyes once more. Glancing at Mitsu, Riri couldn't help but remember when they first met. She wanted nothing more than to be her friend, to have Ryuu's place instead.

'Mitsu....saved me....'

It's funny, because even though she feels so much shame and regret, she can't help but feel so happy.

Finally.

Finally, someone saved her.

'Mitsu.....I'm so sorry....' Riri leaned back against the wall, wiping her eyes before anyone noticed the tears. 'I'm a horrible person....but thank you so much!'

---------------------------------------------------

It took time, but Moji was a man on a mission. Mitsu found out in a hurry that her father could move mountains in ways that not even All Might could when determined enough to.

For a month, Riri stayed at their apartment, not once leaving to go to school or anything like that in fear that one of her parents would come and get her before Moji could start the processes of getting her out. Mitsu understood and just brought home the homework and notes for Riri so she didn't fall behind. After the first month, police officers and child services had come, asking questions and such.

Then, Riri went to live with the Furizu family until the mess was sorted out, as she and Mizu were close friends and she trusted his parents. She also trusted Sora's, but Mizu's lived further away from her family house.

After that, Mitsu didn't see her for a while, but she did hear the whispers and gossip. Some more outrageous than the last. But Mizu and Sora actually came to her to ease her worries for Riri after some time passed.

{"Kaasan has been dotting on her, and she's been smiling, so she's fine." Mizu awkwardly told the smaller girl in front of him, glancing away. Sora, who was standing next to him, looked just as awkward.

"I-I'm g-glad." Mitsu sighed in relief before giving the two boys a shy smile. "Y-You tw-two are r-r-r-really k-k-kind." With that, she gave a respectful bow before hurrying off to find her friends before they start worrying about her.

The two boys watched her leave with disbelieving eyes.

"Kind?" Sora let out a remorseful chuckle. "We bully her for years, I think we nearly killed her a few times now that I'm thinking about all the things we did to her, gets Riri-Chan the help we never could, and then goes and calls us kind?"

Mizu shook his head, closing his eyes. "Heroes....are supposed to always see the good in others even if there isn't any, aren't they?"

Sora's head snapped up, jaw dropping. But then he blinked in thought. "A hero...." Glancing to where Mitsu left, a sad smile slowly started to grow on his face. "Yeah. I guess you're right."}

Moji eventually told her that Riri's parents were deemed unfit, so she was going to be fine and sent to live with a different relative with child services keeping a close eye on the whole thing for a while.

Then, months after the whole thing started, Mitsu got to see a glimpse of Riri outside one of the classroom's open windows. The girl was walking behind an elderly woman, most likely her Grandmother if the few flowers scattered in the woman's hair was any indication. Mizu and Sora were also with her, their parents having called in and allowing them a day off to help the girl out.

Out of the corner of her eye, Mitsu saw long red strands of hair. Turning her head, Mitsu smiled slightly when she saw it was Ryuu.

"They're saying that Riri's going to go live with her Grandparents on her Mother side from now on, so she'll be going to a different school from now on." Ryuu rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, his long spiky hair in a low ponytail swinging as he moved. "When I said that we didn't want her here anymore, I didn't mean it like this, you know?"

"I-I d-d-don't think an-anyone did." Mitsu softly comforted, turning her attention back out the window, noticing that nearly everyone in the classroom doing the same. Mitsu knew that by now, the whole school was looking out the windows to see her leave. Riri was pretty popular in the school after all.

When she looked out, she caught Riri's eye, who had turned around to look at the school on final time now that she stood at the gates. Mitsu watched as Riri turned her head, saying something to her Grandmother - who got a shocked look on her face, before gently smiling and nodding to whatever the teen said. Mizu and Sora glanced to one another, before both sighed and grinned, nodding along.

Then, Riri turned to look at the school once more. She stood straight, tense, and seemed to be gathering all her strength.

"MINETA MITSU!" Both Mitsu and Ryuu jumped, flinching back. "I'M SORRY FOR WHAT I'VE DONE TO YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS! BECAUSE AFTER ALL THAT I'VE DONE YOU'RE....."

Riri took in a deep breath, tears starting to fall from her eyes, before she continued on.

"YOU'RE MY HERO!!!"

Jaw dropping, Mitsu's face started to go red while all the other students went completely silent.

"ONE DAY, WHEN WE MEET AGAIN, I'LL BE A BETTER PERSON!" Riri took in a shuddering breath. "UNTIL THEN, I'LL BE CHEERING YOU ON! FROM THIS DAY ON, I'M YOUR NUMBER ONE FAN!"

"What?! I'm her number one fan!" Ryuu snapped in confusion and shock, making more than one student start laughing out of shock. Mitsu, on the other hand, was too shocked and flustered to say anything.

"MITSU, THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME!" Riri screamed out, quickly going into a respectful bow as her tears fell, a grin on her face.

'I....saved someone.' Mitsu slowly started to smile, ignoring the whispers. A few tears gathered in her eyes. With a hesitant hand, she gave a wave to Riri.

'I saved someone in this life without dying. Saved them from what no one ever saved me from.'

A hand came down on her head, making her jolt out of her thoughts. Blinking up, a few tears falling, she saw it was Ryuu grinning down at her, also raising a hand to wave at Riri. The teen, once standing up once more, grinned with a red face, waving back.

"See, Mitsu-Chan? You're already a hero twice over!" Ryuu laughed, grinning, showing off his sharp teeth. "U.A.'s Entrance Exam is going to be a snap for you!" With that said, Ryuu cupped his hands around his mouth, calling out the window "SEE YA, RIRI!"

That made other students snap to attention, calling out their own goodbyes out the window - from all over the school too. Many below and above the classroom started calling out well wishes and goodbyes.

"GOODBYE, RIRI-CHAN!"

"I HOPE THAT EVERYTHING WORKS OUT!"

"I'LL MISS YOU!"

Amongst all the yelling, Mitsu took in a deep breath, smile still on her face.

She might not be a hero, not really.

She might be trash.

She might be worthless.

She might be a burden.

But, even worthless trash that was a burden had uses.

She never wants someone to go through what she did. No one deserves that. Not even a bully or a villain deserves the pain that she went through before she died the first time.

And if that meant trying to become a hero, a Pro Hero, even though she didn't deserve to be one or even try to become one?

Then Mitsu will go to that Exam, willing to do just about anything to get a spot in the Hero Department.

Because, in the end, civilians, bullies, Heroes, Villains, criminals, everybody, are humans. Humans that have reasons for what they do, actions that define them, wants and desire that they strive for, beliefs that they stick to, and trying to raise above their station in life.

Humans are selfish creatures no matter how you look at it.

And, no matter what, Mitsu is human.

This piece of trash is too selfish to not try and get what she should never have. It might end in her death, because of course she deserves to die.....

But, it'll be worth it.

-End Chapter-

I did a lot of research on Japanese Bullying. By that, I mean, who the issue is treated in the country, how it is seen, how others view it, how bad is it, the laws in place for it, the policies, ect. And, I am shocked. Let me put it this way - I'm glad that I didn't go to school in Japan, as I know for sure that I would be bullied for acting different and being a foreigner. In fact, I'm just glad the schools I went to cracked down on bullying hard when it happened.

Classes in Japan don't switch classrooms like how they would do in the USA, the students don't move classrooms - the teachers do. So those classmates you are with, you are with the whole time. Bullying could be a group, or the whole class. And that includes the teacher. There are cases where the teachers join in on the bullying. Because, in their minds, the victim is in the wrong because of them not conforming to the class. In one article I read, a girl said that a teacher told her to either conform or quit - so she quit.

One article I read really showed me how bad it can get. A second grader committed suicide in their own home because of how bad the bullying got. The whole class, teacher included, bullied them for months. Once it came to light, the school tried to play it off, saying it wasn't their fault. When evidence showed the whole class bullying them to extreme degrees, they school once more tried to lay the blame elsewhere until they couldn't. Teachers in Japan are very well trained in their subjects, but not taught to see signs of bullying usually. There are laws in place, but a lot of the times, bullies are not punished. Over a thousand bullying incidents were reported in one year, and within the whole school district, but only two times were the bullies suspended from school. Meaning, usually, the bully isn't punished - or not punished enough.

Bully happens in any country - and all the time, it is horrible and can go wrong quickly. Not just Japan of course.

But after doing all this research, I can see and understand why and how Izuku was bullied so much - why the whole class bullied him, why the teachers didn't do anything to stop it or even joined it/encouraged it, and why no one was punished. Because he wasn't conforming to the rest of the class, he was too different from them, the teachers thought he was in the wrong instead of the others, ect.

Bullying is wrong no matter what, and when I saw how bad it was for Izuku, I thought it was weird that he was being bullied so bad and no one was doing anything bad about it - especially the teachers. Of course, some bullying is not obvious, in fact most of the time it is anything but obvious, but Bakugou is everything but stealthy about his bullying to Izuku. So, at first, I chalked it up to being a anime/manga. But now? Now I can see this actually happens, so Izuku's bullying was actually realistic in it's setting. Which, is just....wow.

All in all, I learned a lot. I even learned typical ways students in Japan - and other countries, as it's not just in Japan in most cases. - will bully someone. Leaving a flower, usually in a vase, on another student's desk? Might sound sweet, but it's not. That's pretty much saying you wish they were dead, or a death threat of some kind, because in Japan, when a student passes/dies, they put a flower on their desk for respect.

The things you learn when looking for facts for your fanfiction, am I right?

In any case, in the next part - it's the U.A. Entrance Exams! How do you all think Mitsu will do? What do you think she'll do in the exams? How many points will she get? Where will she rank? I'd love to hear your guesses! Because, to be honest, I've been planing this part for so long and have it all planned out for the most part.

Oh, and surprise! Mitsu is officially taller than Mineta. She's not tall by any means, but she is 4'0'' because of her healthy eating habits. So, she is taller than canon!Mineta. Of course, there are other effects to her healthy eating as well, but those come in later.

And, because I couldn't make up my mind and because I am so happy about how far I've come in this book, I'm making more than one SPECIAL! I don't know which one will come out first, but I hope you like them when they do.

I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! Now, it's time for me to get working on those specials!
