Cole's POV

I awoke to sunlight blazing though the window onto my face. A shadow loomed over me blocking the sunlight, "Rise and shine sleepy head." Kai's voice sounded from above me.

I sat up and stretched, "I don't know about you guys but that was not a comfortable sleep!"

"Really?" Kai raised an eyebrow, "You sure kept me up a great deal of the night with all your snoring."

"Oops, sorry." I apologized, slightly hot with embarrassment. This wasn't the first time Kai had complained about my snoring.

I got out of the sleeping bag, rolled it up, and put it in the pile that was made by the other three. Kai had left out the door. I headed outside after him towards a pile of old tires where everyone was standing.

"How are you feeling?" I asked Nya.

"Better." She replied gloomily,

"Hey, uh, you know, I don't like you as in a way that I'd want to date you, ok? I like you as a friend."

Nya grinned a little but a second later looked depressed again, "Thanks, I guess, now I feel even more stupid and terrible. I just want to find Jay and tell him how very sorry I am!"

"Hey," I put my hand on her shoulder, "don't worry. We will find him."

Nya smiled at me, I smiled back. Kai was walking towards us with Zane and P.I.X.A.L., "We're ready to head out."

I was about to say something when a squawk from overhead interrupted me. I looked above us at a bird circling in the sky, the falcon.

Zane put his arm out and bird landed on it, " I am going to send a message to Lloyd about what happened and what we are planning to do. Just to keep him updated."

"Do it quickly, will you? I want to get moving." Kai crosse his arms.

"By the way, where exactly are we heading to look for Jay first?" I asked Kai.

"New Ninjago City." Kai responded, casting a glance at Zane seeing how far he was with sending the message. 

"Isn't that about a whole day's trip on foot from here?"

"Yeah, so?"

Zane had finished his message and the falcon was already starting to fly away now. "Well, don't we need to eat? I mean, I haven't even had breakfast yet!" I complained as my stomach let out a growl of agreement.

"Too bad, Zane's done which means we're leaving now. Guess you should've gotten up earlier like the rest of us." Kai smirked.

As the four of us started off my stomach continued to complain at the lack of food. "Great, I have to go the whole day without eating! Not even breakfast!" I grumbled.
