Jay's POV

I had just woken up from the worst nightmare I had ever dreamed of. I don't remember much of the details, but I remember the just of it.

I sat up in the bed I was in. Bandages covered half of my face along with my chest. My whole body ached. I looked around the room; it seemed I was in an infirmary, though, I didn't know where I was exactly.

KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Come in," my voice was raspy from lack of use.

"Jay? How are you feeling?" Nya's sweet voice sounded as she walked through the door.

I tried to sit up more but it hurt to badly. "I'm fine, I guess." I grunted and forced a smile.

Nya came into full view. She looked like she hadn't had a good night's rest in a couple of days. Her deep blue eyes had black circles under them and her ebony hair stuck up in some places.

"How long have I been in here? How long have I been out?" I asked her as she sat down on the end of my bed.

"About a week." She stated, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear.

"A week?" My eyes widened.

Nya nodded. Even when she had little sleep she still looked beautiful in my eyes. Especially now, with the morning sun shining onto her face. "How much do you remember?"

"Well, let's see," I frowned a bit, thinking back to the nightmare that occurred, "I remember we were at my parents place, and I overheard you said you liked Cole. We fought. Then I ran away and found myself surrounded by Nindroids. Next, all was black."

I tried to recall the rest but it was just a blur. Nya jolted me out of my memories by wrapping her arms around me suddenly. She was squeezing the breath out of me.

"Oh, Jay," Nya held back sobs, "I'm so sorry!"

"Don't worry Nya," I managed to get out. It felt like she was breaking some ribs or something, "I forgive you."

Nya let got of me and gave a weak smile, wiping some tears from her eyes. "Oh Jay, you were right! I shouldn't have listened to that stupid machine!"

I raised an eyebrow, "Yeah, you're usually smarter than that."

Nya smiled, "Heh heh."

"Quick question, why am I in this condition?" I gestured to the bandages on me and around the room.

"You don't remember that part?" Nya asked.

I shook my head. Nya sighed. Then she launched into the story of what happened to me after the Nindroids took me. By the end, I was speechless.

"Wow," I breathed, "I'm horrible."

"It isn't your fault! You were under Cryptor's control! If it's anyone's fault, it's mine!" Nya insisted.

I took Nya's hands in mine, "No, Nya, it's not your fault. You didn't run away. You didn't hurt Zane. You didn't try harming the others. I did."

"You weren't in control of yourself!" Nya said.

I smiled a bit. Nya smiled back. There was no arguing with her. All was forgiven in her book.

"How 'bout we forget this nightmare, huh? Move on?" Nya leaned against me.

I nodded, laying my head against Nya's " Sounds like a pretty good plan to me."
