Chapter 20: Written in the Stars

Moon's POV

I couldn't believe that Kyle was dead.

"How did he die?" I asked.

Andrew studied the scene. "Looks like he committed suicide," he commented.

Rain, who had come out of his room for the first time sighed. "Why would he do that?"

Meeps flinched. "We were neglecting him, that's why," she explained. "He felt like nobody cared."

"You cared," Razer pointed out. "And he knew that. You always check on him."

"If I cared enough, Kyle wouldn't have died!" Meeps screamed. "I should've told someone instead of making him promise that he would talk to me first before he did this!"

"You knew?" I asked.

Meeps nodded miserably. "I... really thought that he's keep his promise." She whispered.

Meeps glared at Kyle.

"You idiot!" She screamed. "You should have told us how you felt! You shouldn't have lied to us! You should have never had said that you were okay when you weren't! We care about you, we really do! But you... you just refused to believe it! How do you know that we were neglecting you? How do you not know if you were the reason why you felt left out! Just hiding and letting yourself succumb into depression instead of getting help?!"

Rain's eyes went wide as heard this.

We were all stunned, never in all this time, had we seen Meeps act this way.

"I think we should go scouting out," Rain said, solemnly. "Andrew? Do you want to come?"

I knew what he was doing, Andrew was our newest member.

"The rest of you stay here," Rain told us. "We'll be back at the end of the day."

We said farewell to them, and the two young men left.

"Alex, I'm so sorry," I said to him.

"I'm a terrible friend..." Alex moaned.

"Shut up, no you're not!" Sheila told him. "You can't fight fate. I'm sure this was already written in the stars."

"That's a terrible destiny!" I said. "I hope nobody comes up and say 'good morning! You're going to die!'"

Alex laughed, just as Razer ran towards us.

"Hey, have any of you seen Meeps?" He asked.

"Yeah, like five minutes ago," I replied. "Why?"

Then I remembered how small Meeps was, even smaller than Ciara, and I knew that she could've easily sneaked out.

"Oh no! Should we get her?" I gasped.

Sheila shook her head. "She's young but she's smart," Sheila said, with a hint of admiration. "She'll catch up with the boys, don't worry about it."

I nodded, knowing that Meeps could easily handle herself.

Kyllian's POV

"Go on and get rid of her..." I commanded. "This will be my revenge on him."
