Chapter 13: Tell Me The Truth
Kyle's POV
I thought I was in the clear.
I was confident that nobody knew what really happened.
Unfortunately, my close friend Meeps knew better.
So, as I was heading back to my home, Meeps intercepted me.
"Oh, hey Meeps," I said.
"Kyle," Meeps said, her face full of concern. "I heard what happen. Are you alright?"
"Yeah," I said. "I just tripped, that's all."
Meeps shook her head. "That's not true," she said.
I looked at the smaller girl. "What are you saying?" I asked.
"Kyle, just say it," she said. "You punched your fist through the glass on purpose."
"Nope," I said. "You're wrong."
I began to pick up my pace, but Meeps quickly caught up.
"Kyle, this isn't good," she told me. "What you're doing to yourself."
"What's not good is that you're making frivolous lie!" I yelled.
"I'm not lying!" Meeps shouted. "I'm worried about you! I really think you need to see Kaylee and tell her the truth! You're not okay right now, and it'll only get worse if you don't get help!"
"I said I'm fine!" I snapped. "I don't need help! So just leave me alone!"
"Kyle," Meeps said. "Look, I just want to..."
She never got to finish because I grabbed her by the throat.
"If you tell anyone," I threatened. "I swear to God that I will kill you."
Meeps sighed. "Alright," she said. "I won't tell anyone," I released her, but she wasn't finished. "But you have to promise me that if you ever feel like you want to kill yourself, you're going to tell me."
"Fine!" I said, shoving her out of my way.
Then I broke into a run as I began to mentally scream in anger and frustration
