Chapter Five
Regulus was bored, there was no quidditch practice today, no classes and all his friends were doing something. He walked out into a corridor seeing if he could find anyone that wasn't totally annoying. He saw Vouyle sitting on a bench and sketching in that stupid sketchbook. He walked over to him, he didn't hate Vouyle, he was a Slytherin and a pure-blood, as well as his family weren't as bad as the Weasleys.
Regulus sat down next to him unsure of what to do next, "Are you going to hit me for not buying your new shoes?"
"No, I don't care, my family can afford it." Regulus looked at what he was drawing, he was surprised to find that it wasn't bad.
"Why was Sirius so set on trying to make you upset?" Arthur asked as he continued working on it.
"I don't care or know a reason for anything that he does."
"I don't know why your family is so hateful to muggle-borns." Regulus got up glaring at him.
"Because they are a disgrace, they shouldn't even be allowed at Hogwarts."
"Why? My best friend is a muggle-born and he's more talented than me."
"Because they're a disgrace." Arthur noticed that he was just repeating himself, he closed his sketchbook.
"But why are they a disgrace?"
"Because they are muggle-borns." Arthur picked up his bag and sketchbook.
"Every family started with a muggle-born." Arthur smiled to himself as he walked away only to hear Regulus come up behind him, "You don't get to walk away from me."
"Or what? What ya gonna do Black?" Regulus would normally slap them or punch them but he didn't he just sighed.
"Fighting gets old fast, so maybe I'd use magic and use stupefy."
"Wow, so sweet a real gentleman." Arthur climbed up into the tree leaving his bag at the bottom.
"Only the best for those who get a chance at the Black hand." Regulus climbed into the tree after him.
"What is your family doing for Christmas?" Even if the holiday was two months away he thought it was a good conversation starter.
"We're probably staying at our house, I know my parents are making Sirius come home, I don't know why though. I know that Sirius was close to leaving this summer though, probably going to Potters or Scarface's, what are you doing?"
"My family wants to go back to France."
"Do you know French?"
"Oui."
"That's cool, I've always wanted to learn a second language." Arthur laughed, "I usually write to my parents in French." Regulus hopped down through the tree.
"Evan should be done with his date by now," Regulus said goodbye and went on to wherever Evan was.
"Arthur, I love you, but I don't want to go to France, plus my parents let me go with a wizarding family? You're insane." Lucas grabbed a blanket and was ready to take a nap.
"You better write to me every day then." Arthur grabbed his stuff and made his way to the station. He knew that a lot of people were staying at Hogwarts over the break.
He sat down in a compartment, bringing out his sketchbook. He heard the door open and looked up seeing Sirius Black staring at him. "Can I sit here?"
"Why?" They had talked once or twice, they were in different years and houses.
"Because Sirius Black doesn't sit by himself."
"Fine, just don't be annoying."
"Me? Annoying? Never." Arthur knew that was a lie but didn't care.
The ride was a long and awkward one.
"So, why do your parents want you back home?" Sirius looked up not answering him at first.
"I don't know why they do anything."
"I hope you and Regulus have a good time over break." Sirius rolled his eyes but both were startled as a knock hit their door, James Potter stepping inside.
"I thought you were staying at school." Sirius got up, "in this case, nice chat." Both of them left, Arthur brought his legs up and begun to draw again.
"Je t'aime Arthur, how have you been? How's Lucas? Any new boyfriend?" Once Arthur got off the train his mother wouldn't let him go.
"Je t'aime aussi mère, I've been good, Lucas is doing good, and no sadly." Arthur tried getting his mother off of him.
Arthur and his mother used the floo network to get home, his father was still at work.
"We will be leaving once your father gets home." Arthur sat at the table and continued his drawing, his mother sat next to him.
"Is that the boy you like?" Arthur looked at who he was drawing, he didn't realize it, but it kind of looked like Regulus, he didn't notice the blush spread across his face.
"Maman!" His mother grabbed the sketchbook and looked at it.
"He's cute almost looks like the younger Black brother." Arthur stayed silent.
"Oh Arthur..." She placed the book down, "You know this won't end well."
"But I can dream can't I?" She laughed as Arthur's father used apparition to get home.
"Let's get ready to meet my parents." His father said making a moment to compose himself. Arthur wished he could meet his other grandparents but they didn't get along with his family, which was part of the reason they moved to London. He was happy that he got along with most of his family though, he knew that some people didn't get along with their family, and that made him feel lucky.
