A lot happened after the defeat of Jeanine.

With the destruction of Abnegation and the loss of Erudite's head leader, the city decided to impose a new order. Representatives of all factions banded together to form one council that will govern the city together.

I was surprised when they announced they would take my suggestion. It was a moment that showed me that my thoughts and suggestions would not get me killed. Well, at least not anymore.

My dad was voted the Abnegation representative after Marcus's arrest.

Yup, you heard me, arrest.

Tobias agreed to come home and he and his mom came out with their story and the abuses they suffered. Evelyn divorced Marcus while he was on trial and she is now living in a beautiful little cottage near Amity and dating a wonderful man she met at the hospital.

Marcus on the other hand is rotting in jail and that is where he will stay for the rest of his miserable life. You should have seen his face at the trail when Tobias and Evelyn testified on the stand. He was so shocked that even after years of abuse they managed to stand up to him and they won.

Caleb is working closely with the new Erudite representative. I see him every week when we go to dinner with my parents. It took a while but he and my father finally got on the same page and now my father respects his decision to go to Erudite, in fact, he even mentioned once that it is what was the best thing for him. He said Caleb's talents would be wasted in Abnegation.

Robert is dating a girl he met at the hospital and our friendship has reached a non-awkward level. It's not the same as it was before but we're happy with how things are.

Susan is a nurse and is currently dating Caleb. FINALLY! It's a little hard with them being in different factions but they make it work.

Zeke and Shauna are married and expecting their first child.

Peter, two Dauntless leaders-Max, and Eric- are serving jail time for their involvement in the attack. That was quite a shock for a lot of people especially the members of Dauntless. You can't blame them for being surprised though their leaders consented for them to be used like robots.

Uriah and Marlene are dating and enjoying their lives together.

Christina and Will are the Dauntless representatives. Well technically Will is, Christina just helps him out so much that she might as well be one. They are engaged. 

Lynn is as tomboy as ever. She is dating a girl she met at the tattoo parlor. I haven't met her but she is great.

The Divergents no longer have a target on their backs especially since it was us who helped the people of Abnegation. They still live in the woods though. They say they prefer it there and, to be honest, it isn't that bad.

Tobias was voted the Divergent representative when the Divergents were added to the city council seven months ago. He was hesitant at first but we discussed it and he decided to do it in Tori's honour.

I left Abnegation to be with Tobias. My parents are happy about my decision. They knew I never belonged in just one place. Or in Abnegation at least.

I love living with Tobias. He is amazing. He proposed to me last week and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him.

I grew up being told that I had to be one thing.

I had to either be

Or selfless.

But as human beings, we can't just be one thing. I am proof of that.
