5 First Defeat or Second encounter.
"Hey Fiddle are you feeling better?" Shi asked tentatively.
"I must request that YOU USE YOUR BRAIN IN THE FUTURE!!!!" Fiddle made his point quite clear. "Yes. I am in perfect health, in the future a bit of strategy would go a long ways for you. Flying type Pokémon are particularly effective against bug type Pokémon. So it would be unwise in the future to utilize my abilities when fighting birds in the future, agreed?" Fiddle was going on his usual matter indecisive on whether he was fancy or a street rat.
"Sorry Fiddle. I'm just starting, mistakes like this are expected for a while. I'll get better I swear." Shi was profusely apologizing.
"Arggghhhh!!!! Stupid human nonsense!!!!!!!!" Chin shouted. She was quite annoyed at the tent she was attempting to put away.
"Chin what's the ma...." Shi trailed off as she saw her tent in flames. "Tter." She finished.
"It's not my fault idiot humans use flammable materials for tents." Chin got defensive.
"Fiddle help stomp out the flames. We don't want to catch the whole forest on fire." Shi ordered.
"The solitary reason I am aiding you in this time of trail, is because I don't wish to cause harm to the residential Pokémon." Fiddle grumpped stomping on some flames. Still grumpy a Shi's lack of strategy.
"Oh for Arceus sake, just can it already Mr. High and mighty." Chin snapped. She was stomping on the now useless tent. They got the fire out but the tent was destroyed. Luckly Chin had taken everything out before trying to put it away.
"I think we can agree Chin is banished from setting up and taking down the tent." Shi joked. "Don't worry Chin, it could have happened to any... Umm well yeah. That can only happen to you, But we understand that you're not to blame. At least we got the fire out before it spread so only the tent was ruined." Shi tried to cheer the fire monkey up.
"Stupid tents. Why would humans even bother with these? It just disconnects a human from nature." Chin kicked the ashes.
"Well they're nice to have when it rains." Shi brought up.
"If it rains you humans could just deal with it. Your desire for comfort is ridiculous." Chin grouched.
"Oh well let's just go to Jubilife city. Then we won't need a tent." Shi set the goal for the day.
"Just keep in mind that we're a bit beat up from the battles. Another trainer and we're toast." Chin warned.
"Yes Chin, anyone could tell that just by looking at you." Shi said starting off. They walked a while, battled a few wild pokémon, Fiddle was knocked out again and Chin was looking pretty rough.
"When we get to Jubillife city, I'll buy a bunch of potions so we can get through the next route." Shi promised.
"Hello traveler." a jolly looking girl shouted to Shi. "Are you a trainer?" She walked out of the grass.
"Yes I am. My name's Alice." Shi was using Alice as her name when she was around people. It sounded more like their names.
"My name's Natalie. Care for a battle?"
"Ok. Fine. Chin go try your hardest." Shi sent forward her loyal, opinionated, monkey. The girl sent out a Bidoof named Tooths.
"Tooths use tackle!" Natalie was assured of her victory. The Bidoof Charged at Chin.
"Dodge and use ember!" Shi was more worried about her pokémon getting hurt than winning. Chin followed her orders evading the Bidoof the first round, but not the second. Which knocked her out.
"Well you won Natalie. Best of luck in the future." Shi had subconsciously picked up Fiddle's speech habits.
"Best of luck to you too." Natalie giggled going back into the grass.
"Arceus... Now I have to go threw all that grass on my own." Shi quaked in fear. "There is nothing to fear." she started a monologue."Chin and Kricketot knocked out all of the Pokemon earlier. So I won't encounter any."
A Shinx jumped in front of her eliciting a scream. The Shinx started pawing at it's ears trying to escape the horrible noise. It sent out a blinding flash and dissapeared.
"S~see Sh~Shi? It~it's more sca~scared of you." Shi stuttered to herself. She continued at a brisk pace. A snarling Bidoof stoped her. It was familiar, to familiar.
"Shit!" Shi ran, a snarling Bidoof behind her. She ran for her life.
Now normally It would take a full day at a training pace to make it to the lab. A good hours walk for non trainers. Shi made it in a record breaking five minutes.
"Professor!! It's chasing me!" Shi barely got out before she passed out.
