I was in the boat scared for dear life as we didn't know where the witch went as it had disappeared from sight all of a sudden from far away and we were now left to wonder where it must have gone to

The familiars were agitated

"We have no time to wonder about this!we must accelerate the boat!!"

Suddenly the clouds gathered all around the horizon as they took a dark color booking the sun in it's entirety as if the night overtook the day in the matter of seconds

Then something gigantic appeared in the middle of the giant river that even though spanned for kilometers the creature was still only a little smaller than the width of the river

It came out as which caused waves to appear also which threw me off balance as then I finally came face to face with it

appears as a monstrous, immense mermaid wearing heavy knight armor. It's helmet is somewhat reminiscent of an old deep diving helmet. It also wore a ragged and torn cape and wields a cutlass (proportionately massive). It's collar resembles a heart, , the same can be said of her fish tail.

It's spots all then centered themselves on me as I couldn't move as I felt like death was staring at me in the face

However it didn't do anything, instead bringing it's face closer and closer to me blinding me even more with it's light

Silence

"Edel we must go immediately!"

But I didn't stop looking at the witch as I started to get mesmerized

"Wait, it's not attacking us,What if it's not evil as you thought?"I said

"EDEL GET BACK NOW!!"

Suddenly an ear bleeding screech came out of the witch which immediately paralyzed me as I fell down not being able to hold myself steady from the sudden fear this has caused me as incubator was still shouting

"WE NEED TO GET TO THE OTHER SIDE!!"he said while telepathically restarting the boat however

The witch raised it's sword high in the air to a height that would rival a tall building

And then swung it down immediately as I jumped out of the way as it hit the boat dead on

"INCUBATOR!!!"I shouted as it incubator was still only in the boat

I then began to feel a certain uneasiness all around me as the witch turned to me which allowed me to see why that was

The familiars had jumped out the bridge or swam from the side of the river all over to here as they caught me

What followed was excruciating pain  as I felt as if my limbs were being torn apart and I was getting bitten

I couldn't take the pain that felt as if I was being eaten alive or mangled as this has caused me to lose consciousness from the overwhelming pain

"GASP"

I woke up immediately as I remembered what was happening

"INCUBATOR!!"I shouted first thing as I then took notice of the environment around me

I was in what appeared to be the underground sewers of mitakihara city with the sound of droplets echoing around and with pipes all around that have long since stopped pouring out water due to the lack of human life

I then looked at myself,I was totally fine and my clothes appeared to be brand new as if they were cleaned up although a little wet

I looked at the water to see my reflection

"What the?"

My hair which was partly white with just a strand was now larger,not to a high degree but to one that could be seen

My eye also had a mix of a pinkish red color as if paint was dropped on water

"What happened?I thought I was drowning in the river while being eaten"I said to myself as I got up

"I need to find incubator,he must be somewhere around here"I said as I began to walk through the sewers trying to find a way out

"INCUBATOR!!"I shouted but to no response

I was going through what felt like an entire maze of pipes

"INCUBATOR!!ARE YOU HERE?!"I shouted again

No response again

"Is this what Mario feels when he goes to rescue the princess?"I asked myself as I continued but to no avail

I then decided to shout one more time

"KYUUBE-"

"It's not here,not anymore"said a voice that sounded human and feminine as well but something felt wrong,the voice was young but it was also really dry and croaking

This shocked me as I began to look around despite knowing this was just a far away echo

"W-who are you?are you also a human?how are you alive?"

"You will get your answers soon enough,for now follow this little string at your feet"said the voice as I looked and noticed a small string that I could swear wasn't there when I arrived here as I picked it up and started to follow it by hand as I began to think about this other person that might be alive

it lead me back all the way from were I came from and the in the opposite way that I took

'why didn't I think of that?'

I then arrived at a room that looked really old as it had collected a great amount of dust and even some spiders

I then finally looked in front of me to see who had called me

What I saw shocked me even more than all the witch and familiars I seen
