V
I was awoken when a bright light flooded the inside of the ship.
"Get up, we're here. Hux will want to see you immediately." Ren said before walking down the ramp.
My arms and legs felt like jelly from being in the same position for who knows how long. I waited a minute for my eyes to adjust then carefully walked down the ship.
Everyone's favorite redhead awaited me at the bottom, "Hux, it's been awhile."
He gave a small smile, 'Indeed it has Lark. I hope all is well."
"Somewhat." I followed him and his escort troopers to a meeting room on the 5th floor. The double doors were much different than I remember, maybe they changed them?
"Same doors." A voice said from behind us, going into the room quickly.
I huffed, "Stop doing that."
Hux looked down at me, "Reading my mind, it's annoying."
"Ah yes, I understand completely."
Our little group walked in and took a seat at the long table. I noticed many of the people in the room were of very high rank, something I couldn't believe I had remembered. It was almost as if my memory of the First Order was that of a child reading about it in a history book, I lost much recollection of it's inner workings.
"So Lark, anything about the Resistance you can tell us that could aid an attack?" A commander questioned.
My mind grew angry, "Sorry but in case you all didn't notice I was just taken away from a place I considered home, a place where I had friends and an actual life. As well as I just got off a ship that I was on for who knows how long and you want me to just spill what I know."
Captain Phasma was the first to speak, "That is why you were dispatched LR-3915."
I glared at her, "It's Lark you tin can. But if any of you recall my assignment was for a month. I was there for ten. You abandoned me so I had no other choice than to become one of them."
"Take her to a holding cell." It was Kylo who ordered this.
My eyes grew worried, "Wait no, please don't. I'll tell you what I know, just anything but a cell."
"Should have thought about that before you talked back, I thought I warned you."
Troopers grabbed my arms and began dragging me away, tears leaving a path for anyone to follow. I felt bruises being formed from their grasp on my wrists. The holding cells were far away from the meeting room, on a much lower floor. It was dark and didn't sit well with me. I was brought into one of the small rooms and attached to the table in the room. Before they left the troopers pressed a button that raised me so I was basically standing up. Everything in my body hurt, yet I couldn't help but scream. I screamed for my losses, screamed for the pain. My throat became dry and I couldn't make much sound but I kept going, hoping someone would hear me.
It must have been days that I was in the prison, as I now called it. They would send guards down to give me water, but never food. My wrists were severely bruised and cut from the cuffs, definitely leaving a permanent mark.
Today was different though. The troopers never came, instead I was met with the one and only Kylo Ren.
"Go away." I turn my head.
He doesn't pay my words much attention as he pushes my head against the board. "You're difficult."
"So I've been told."
He walks closer to me, his mask making every one of his actions even more menacing.
I muster up some more courage, "Can you take that mask off."
"Are you asking me or telling me."
"Telling."
"Then no I cannot."
I smirked, "Well obviously you can or else you would be a droid."
Two troopers walked into the cell and began undoing my restraints. Once the finished they just walked out, leaving me with Ren.
"So where are we going?" I question, rubbing my wrists get rid of some of the pain.
His gaze never left whatever was in front of him, "Your new room."
Room?
"Yes room, you're no longer a trooper so you need a room. Plus you're going to start training as soon as Snoke clears you." His robotic voice monotonous.
We continued down the halls, everything started coming back to me. The barracks, the med-bay, break room and most importantly the cafeteria. I breathed in and the scent of food made my stomach growl. Kylo must have noticed because he stopped and I ran into his back.
Without turning around he spoke, "Go grab something, but be quick."
I ran into the room and pushed part the troopers, desperate for something. Many of them complained but my stomach dictated how I acted. I found a pear and picked it up, running back out to where Kylo stood.
"We can continue." I smiled, biting into the soft flesh.
He just kept on, ignoring I even said anything. We soon entered an area I had never seen, the doors were all silver except on on the very end. It was black, not like a shiny metallic black, but a matte black.
"Um Kylo?" Fear prodding at my skull.
Ignoring me he stopped about 15 doors down, "This is your new room."
The door opened and inside was a bed, desk, closet and another door to a bathroom. I stepped inside and took a look around. The walls were the same as the hallways but without as many lights. A lamp sat atop the desk and bedside table, books lined a shelf.
"Someone will stop by later to bring you something to eat."
Before I had any chance to ask him about the room on the end, my door closed and locked from the outside. Great. I decided it was best to become acquainted with the things to do inside, which ended up being virtually nothing.
Half of the book were just blank pages, while the others were history on places in the galaxy. I pulled one with blank pages off the shelf and took a one off the desk and lay on my bed. It was covered in grey sheets, very plain.
I found myself drawings things from the Resistance base. The X-Wings, the symbol of the rebellion, everything that become my home. I drew Poe as best as I could remember, faintly feeling his warm embrace and soft lips.
I slammed the book shut and closed my eyes, letting the tears fall as they pleased.
