The Rebel soldiers got past the guards and entered the base. "Now comes the hardest part" said the lieutenant. They kept moving through, and split up in three groups. One of them was spotted by a stormtrooper, who instantly called for backup. He was shot, but not before a platoon of stormtroopers arrived, and the five Rebel soldiers were forced to find cover. They fired on the stormtroopers, one of the Rebels taking down three before a blaster bolt found its mark, hitting his shoulder, and then another, his head. One of the other four threw a grenade, killing  a few more. "Rebel scum, surrender now!" came an order. They refused, and kept firing, taking out nearly all of the stormtroopers before a TIE fighter roared above them, shooting them with a blast. One of them survived long enough to shoot the TIE down out of a rocket launcher, and the ship dropped on the remaining stormtroopers. The Rebel soldier then collapsed beside his comrades, dead.

Meanwhile, the others managed to avoid the guards, and the two groups met before the shield generator. "Alright. Once the charges are planted, we have maybe twenty minutes to get the hell outta here and call for the fleet to make its strike before the Imperials get reinforcements. Now, hurry!" the lieutenant ordered, as he and ten of the troopers stood guard, while the other four planted the charges. "All set, let's move" one of them said, once the charges were planted. They rushed out of the base, to the city, when a platoon of stormtroopers blocked their path. The two sides opened fire, and many Rebel soldiers went down. Lieutenant Vanrees ducked down with seven surviving Rebels, as they fired on the stormtroopers. Then, four AT-STs joined the battle, and fired on the Rebel soldiers. One of the rocket troopers fired a shot at one of the AT-STs, destroying the cockpit. He was immediately shot by a stormtrooper.

Judeor and Lurana attacked Vader again, but he was able to survive, and shoved them back with a Force wave. "Go!" said a hoarse voice, as the Jedi Master held Vader in a Force grip, and the two Knights ran. "You are a fool, Master Giiral" said the Sith Lord, as he freed himself from her grip and attacked, hammering down on her defenses, finally overpowering her, and slicing through her neck. "You have fought well, Master Giiral, but now, it is over" Darth Vader said, as he turned, and walked to the Imperial base. The Jedi Master groaned, as her eyes closed, and her body disappeared.

Another of the Rebel soldiers was killed, just as another AT-ST went down by a concentrated barrage to the legs. Lieutenant Vanrees was now only with four more soldiers. Just then, two lightsabers hummed to life, as Lurana and Judeor appeared, distracting the Imperials. Judeor hurled his lightsaber at one of the AT-ST's legs, cutting through it, and the walker collapsed on the stormtroopers below, killing them. The other went down shortly after, and the Rebel soldiers and the two Jedi Knights finished off the remaining stormtroopers. "Hurry!" said Judeor, as they ran back, out of the base. Vader stood before them. Behind them, the charges blew, and the shield generators went out. "Lieutenant, order the strike" said Lurana.
