The letter arrived today. The letter of surrender. :3. I love it. It read:

General
Confederate States of America

You'll be pleased to know that the Union will be surrendering to the Confederacy on one condition:
Slavery goes.
You may become independent, but we cannot allow you to enforce slavery in your nation.
If you do not agree to the above terms, we will continue to fight. Please, let us end this war.
The Union has officially surrendered to the Confederate States of America. Good luck with your country.

Finally, we can have our own country. This war is just shy of four years old, and I'm glad to say that we are done with it.
Finally, the people are free from the tyranny that is the Union.
Finally, we can raise spies without a bunch of spies spying on them.
