May 2011/51 Weeks Old/Almost a Year Old

Tomorrow is graduation day for me and the rest of the seniors. Bridgette's 1st birthday and my 18th birthday is next week. I've been working on my Valedictorian Speech for two weeks straight. Plus planning mine 18th and Bridgette's first birthday as well.

"Mama?" Bridgette asked. 

"Yes, sweetie?" I asked. 

"Food," she said. "Hungry?" I asked. 

She nodded. "Okay, let's get some food, Mommy's hungry too," I said, getting her out of her crib. 

We headed downstairs. My mom was preparing food for my graduation party. Like Cupcakes, Pasta Salad, Jalapeno Poppers etc. "Hey Mom," I said. 

"Hey, Jaelyn. Hey, Bridgette," she said. 

I put Bridgette in her high chair, getting her banana and cheerios. She starts eating her snack. I made a bowl of cereal. 

"Cereal in the afternoon?" my mom asked. "Yes, since I am writing my Valedictorian Speech and I need brain food," I said, smiling. 

"You were always got 'B' or 'C' but after you got pregnant, you got all 'A'," she said. 

"Yeah I know," I said. 

"How did you do it?" she asked. 

"I think it happened after I got pregnant with Bridgette. Even after I gave birth to her, I knew I had to make her proud of me. And Bridgette is one of the reasons why I'm trying out for the WWE not because of Brie and Nicole. They can't tell me how to raise Bridgette and live my life like that always have. Once I had Bridgette, I had to grow up fast. You know what's it like to be a young mom," I said. 

"That's true. Yes, you did grow up. I never thought you would be a teen mom. Things happen we have to accept that," she said. 

I nodded then finished eating. I cleaned Bridgette's face. "Well I better finish my Valedictorian Speech," I said, taking Bridgette with me. 

"Jaelyn, how about I spend time with Bridgette while you do that?" she asked. 

"Are you sure?" I asked. 

"Sure. Plus, do you need anything from the store?" she asked. 

"Yes. Can you get some Fabric Paint? So I can decorate my cap," I said. 

"Sure. Do you have a graduation outfit for you?" she asked. 

"Yes, it's in my closet so is Bridgette's as well," I said, as I head up to my room to finish my Valedictorian Speech.

Next Morning/Graduation Day 

Its the day of my graduation. I was getting ready, finished making mermaid waves. Then I did my make up with a simple eyeliner look. 

An hour later, I got dressed in my outfit. Bridgette was wearing a blue and black outfit to match with my graduation ceremony attire along with my Valedictorian Speech looking it over. 

"Ready to see Mommy graduate High School?" I asked. 

She giggled and smiled. 

"I take that a yes," I said, smiling kissing her cheek 

"Jaelyn! Come on or we're going to be late!" my mom said. 

"We're coming," I said. 

I picked Brigette up and my Speech. 

Graduation Ceremony

"Good afternoon. I am Lee Williams. I am the principle of Spergon High School. Welcome to the Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2011. Please welcome to the stage our Salutatorian, Carolyn Rossum," Mr. Williams said.

Carolyn walked up the podium and starts reading her speech. "Thank God I am Valedictorian of this high school," I said to myself.

Few minutes later....

 "Thank you, Carolyn. Next up is our  Valedictorian, Jaelyn Colace-Garcia," Mr. Williams said. 

Everyone started cheering for me. "Go Jaelyn!" Bryson said. "Go, Mommy!" Bridgette said.

I walked up to the podium.

"Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen. Its such an honor to stand up here as your Valedictorian. I want to thank Mr. Williams and the rest of the faculty, my family; who actually supported me, and friends. Now I am standing in front of you, along with the Class of 2011....," I continued reading my speech. 

An hour later, we are standing line getting our diploma. "Jaelyn Kathryn Colace-Garcia," Mr. Williams said. I started smiling, getting my diploma. 

Another hour later, everyone stood up. "Congratulation Class of 2011. You have officially graduated high school," Mr. Williams said. Its official; I am a high school graduate. We all headed to back to my house for the graduation party.

Bridgette's taking a nap, we are all outside. JJ's grilling everything. I am hanging with my friends who are juniors and a couple of seniors. 

"Jaelyn, do you want Cola?" Bryson asked. 

"I'll just have water," I said. 

"Gotta stay in shape to become a wrestler?" Jessica asked. 

"Yes. I've been working out since I completed all my work in April. Plus I have been training with my sisters' trainer," I said. 

"That's cool. So who are you living with?" Jessica asked.

"I'll be living with my friend who I met at Cheerleading camp about a few years ago," I said.

"Lauren?" Leon asked. 

Bryson came back with the water bottle. "Thanks, babe and yes, Lauren Lopez. She'll be coming to San Diego two days after my 18th birthday. I can't leave here until then," I said. 

"Is Bridgette going?" Korin asked. 

"Of course," I said. 

"Bryson are you going?" Korin asked. 

"No, I have to stay here. I gotta finish high school first then I might move to Florida to be with Jaelyn," he said. 

"Yeah, he'll get his High School diploma," I said, smiling.

"I'll miss my girls, mostly Bridgette," he said. 

"Are you two back together?" Leon asked. 

"No, we only went to prom together," Bryson said. 

I hear Bridgette crying on the baby monitor. "Bridge's awake, I'll be back," I said, getting up.

I headed to my room, Bridgette was sitting up. "Hey pumpkin," I said, picking her up then asked her, "Did you have a nice nap?" 

"Yeah," she said, smiling. 

I changed her diaper and feed her bottle since I stop breastfeeding and she's got teeth coming in.

One Week Later/Bridgette's 1st birthday

Today is Bridgette's first birthday. My 18th birthday's in two days. Once I turn 18, I move all the way from San Deigo, California to Tampa, Florida to live with my best friend I met at cheer camp a few years ago.

We are having Bridgette's birthday party at my house. It just with Bryson, his family, and my family. Bryson and I just got her birthday decorations and her mini cake.

"I can't believe she's already a year old," Bryson said. 

"Time flies too fast. I'll never forget giving birth to her," I said. 

"She was your early birthday gift," he said, smiling. 

"Yes, she was. The best birthday gift ever," I said, smiling. 

Bryson and I got to back to my house, Bridgette was playing with Oscar our newest puppy. "Hi, Mommy!" Bridgette said. 

"Hey sweetie," I said, setting everything down. 

She crawled over to us, Bryson picked her up. "Hi Daddy," she said. 

"Hey pumpkin," he said, picking her up and kissing her cheek. 

"Bryson, would you like to take her shopping for her birthday, while I prepare everything?" I asked.

"Sure, since you two are leaving next week. I won't spend much time with her afterward," he said. 

"Thats true. You two have fun. Bryson, don't get her any barbies. She'll pop their heads off," I said.

Bryson and Bridgette left to go birthday shopping for her. So I can make little cake balls and other foods for the party. 

An Hour Later

I finished making the cake balls and got Bridgette's cake out. Bryson's family started arriving to the house. JJ was cooking burgers and hot dogs on the grill. Bryson returned with Bridgette. 

"I'm back with the birthday girl," Bryson said. 

"What did you get her?" I asked. 

"A few outfit, baby sneakers, and her a new big building blocks," Bryson said. 

"Thats good," I said. 

Bryson sat Bridgette in her high chair while I was getting Bridgette cake and a number 1 candle, lighting it up. 

I started singing and everyone else was singing. I sat the cake down while Bryson holds Bridgette hand back. "Happy Birthday dear Bridgette, Happy Birthday to you," we all finished singing. 

Bridgette blows raspberries, then we help her blow it out. "Yay!" we all said. Bryson took the candle out, Bryson picks it up and give Bridgette a smaller cake. 

Bridgette starts digging into the smaller cake then eats it. 

"Cake face," Bryson said. 

"Yup, she does," I said.

Bryson gives Bridgette cake kisses. 

I took a picture of them. "Bridgette's 1st Birthday," I posted on Facebook. 

Later that Night

I put Bridgette down to sleep, I started packing up our clothes. My phone started vibration. Its Lauren calling me. 

I answered my phone. "Hello," I said.

"Hey, Jae. How was Bridgette's birthday?" Lauren asked. 

"It was good. She got cake on her face," I said, smiling. 

"I know. I saw your facebook. She's getting big. I can't wait until Rose meet you guys," Lauren said. 

"I can't wait to come to Florida so I can try out for WWE," I said. 

"I told them about you trying out. The trainers can't wait to meet you," she said. 

"So you'll be meeting Bridgette and I at the airport?" I asked. 

"Yes, Colby and I will be there," she said.

"Okay, just want to make sure. My birthday is in two days, so Bridgette and I will be leaving the day after," I said. 

"Okay, I just want to check. You guys have a good night. See you in a few days," Lauren said. 

"Okay, bye Bestie," I said, hung up the phone. 

I continued packing up mine and Bridgette's clothes in boxes. Taking pictures and other misc as well.
