Ch. 8

Fergal

I am at the gym, doing some work out before I defend my NXT Championship against Austin (Adam Cole).

I have my new friend Sierra with me. I met her at the gym back in December. She needed someone to spot her and I offered.

We have been friends since then. I am actually starting to like her but I am keeping it a secret. She also works as a lingerie model.

"So how are you and Jaelyn doing?" Sierra asked. "Good, we went to Marriage Counseling as you suggested," I said.

"Oh. How did that go?" she asked. "Well we spoke and I told her confessions that I kept a secret from her around two years ago. She cried and she won't talk to me," I said.

"Wow, you really hurt her. Jaelyn's gonna need time to heal. I hope you two do more sessions to help save your marriage," she said.

"Same here. I still love my wife despite me cheating on her," I said. "Excuse me, are you Fergal Devitt?" a younger girl asked.

I turned around, seeing her. "Yes, I am," I said. "Mr. Devitt, I'm just here to give you this," she gives me an envelope.

"What's this?" Sierra asked. "I don't know. Let's see," I said. I opened the envelope up, taking a paper packet.

"Oh no," I said, sighing. "What's wrong?" Sierra asked, looking at it. "Oh," she said. "Jaelyn's filing for divorce," I said.

"Oh no. You really did hurt her, Fergal. I think you need to talk to her," she said. "I'll talk to Jaelyn about this," I said.

Sierra nodded. "I better put these in my bag," I said. "Okay, I'll be here waiting," she said. I got to the locker room.

I put the divorce papers back in the envelope, taking it to my bag. I put it in my duffle bag, headed to go work out with Sierra.

Jaelyn

I got home from meeting my new divorce attorney, Dennis Marks. He has an assistant, Myrissa, send the letter to Fergal about me filing for divorce.

I got Irelynd and FJ from daycare, and put them in their big kid beds since they fell asleep in the car which always helps them take a nap.

I got my phone out of my hoodie, I was texting Marcel. We've been texting for a couple of weeks now.

I like talking to him. He listens to what I have to say, he knows how to make me feel better. I sometimes have butterflies when I see him.

I heard a loud knock on the door. "Who the fuck?" I whispered. I went to the front door, looking for the peephole.

I see Fergal as he continues to knock loud. I opened the door. "Fergal, why are you knocking so loud? The twins are down for a nap," I whispered, slightly shutting my door.

"What the fuck is this, Jaelyn?" he asked, showing me the letter. "It's a letter to let you know that I am filing for divorce. Can we talk about it later? The twins are taking a nap," I said, about to shut my door.

He stops me from shutting the door. "No, we're gonna talk about it now, Jaelyn. Why are you divorcing me after one counseling session?" he said.

"You've been lying to me and cheating on me for our whole marriage. I can't believe I blamed Veronica for hitting on you when it was you that was hitting on her. This is your fault that you couldn't keep it in your pants," I said.

"I know I did, Jaelyn, I am sorry. How many times do I have to say I'm sorry?" he asked. "You can apologize all you want, Fergal, it doesn't change the fact that you still keep hurting me and breaking my heart. In our vows, you promised that you would never do it again and you broke your vows," I said.

"I know I promised you in our vows. This time, I will keep my promise. I will never cheat on you or lie to you ever again. Please don't divorce me. I still love you, Jaelyn," he said, getting on his knees.

He held me. "I'm sorry, Fergal. I don't believe you this time. It's over. I'll see you in court," I said, heading back inside.

"Jaelyn, please don't..," Fergal said as I shut the door. I sighed softly, locking the door. I went to my living room, sitting on the couch.

I looked at my wedding ring. I took it off, setting it down on the table. I headed upstairs to my room.

I opened my closet, seeing all of mine and Fergal's clothes. I decided to pack up all of his stuff so he can take it to his new apartment.

Fergal

After I left mine and Jaelyn's house, I decided to pick up my friend Sierra and invite her over. We just picked up Sushi and wine.

We got inside my apartment. Sierra headed inside as I shut the door. Sierra goes to my kitchen, setting the bags on the counter.

"Welcome to my apartment. Thank you for coming over," I said. "You're welcome. Sushi's a good thing to eat when I'm upset," she said.

"That's true. Do you want to talk about what happened with Jaelyn?" she asked. "I'd rather not. Even though I still love Jaelyn. I hope one day she forgives me," I said.

"She will forgive you, just give her time," she said. I nodded, drying my tears. Sierra held me as I hugged her back.

Later

Sierra and I are sitting on the floor around the coffee table, eating sushi with chopsticks. "Good idea on the sushi. It does make me feel better," I said.

"I told you. How's the twins?" Sierra asked. "They're good, getting bigger. They're toddlers, walking, talking and have a special twin bond," I said.

"That's good. How's Bridgette?" she asked. "She's good. She'll be 11 years old this May. I still can't believe she's getting older," I said, smiling.

"Time flies doesn't it?" she asked. "It does. She's a great kid. I taught her how to play soccer and sports," I said.

"That's good," she said, smiling. I nodded. "Well, here's to a good friendship," she said, holding her cup.

We clinked them together, drinking it. "Oh very strong," she said, blinking. "Oh I know. We better not drink it too much," I said.

---

After finishing eating sushi and drinking sake, Sierra and I are sitting down, watching The Ranch with Ashton Kutcher and Sam Elliot.

It's a really good show. "What do you think of The Ranch so far?" Sierra asked. "It's really good. I had no idea that you have to go up a cow's vagina to get the calf out," I said.

"Oh I know. Ranchers usually check the cows' ass to see if they're pregnant or not. And the smell lingers on Ashton's arm," she said.

"Wow. He should've worn gloves. You could've warned me that I was gonna see Ashton Kutcher's ass," I said.

"He should've. I'm sorry. It was a good show until they took Danny Masterson off the show," she said.

"I heard about what happened with Danny Masterson. His past got to him. I can't wait to see what they do to his character when we get to that season," I said.

Sierra nodded. "Can't you believe that Sam Elliot's still acting at his age?" she asked. "I know. It shows that no matter how old you are, you can still live your dreams," I said.

"That's true. What time is it?" she asked. I grabbed my phone. "10pm," I said. "I better get home," she said, taking the blanket off.

I nodded as I got up. Sierra got up as well. "I'll walk you to your car. It's not safe at this hour," I said, grabbing her jacket.

"Thank you," Sierra said, turning around, looking at me. I leaned down to kiss her. Our lips locked as we kissed.

She pulls away, looking at me. We kissed each other again. She drops her stuff as we kiss each other.

We break the kiss. "I'm sorry. You're still sad about your wife divorcing you. I shouldn't have kissed you back," Sierra said.

"To be honest, I really don't care now," I kissed her again. Sierra held me as I lifted her up, taking her to my room.

Next Day

Jaelyn

I just dropped Bridgette at school and the twins at daycare. I went to the gym. I am standing outside, waiting for a friend to arrive.

I checked my phone to see if Fergal texted me about the divorce. Still nothing. I sighed softly. I look around.

"Hey, Schön," I hear Marcel. I look to my right, seeing Marcel, starting. "Hey," I said, smiling. We hugged each other.

"Thank you for inviting me," he said. "You're welcome. Ready to break a sweat?" I asked. "Yes, are you?" he asked.

"Yes, I need to take my anger out," I said. "Another fight with Fergal?" he asked. "I filed for divorce. My attorney sent Fergal a letter and he's pissed," I said.

"Oh that's good. How did he react?" he asked. "Oh he's upset that my lawyer has sent him a letter while he was working out. Now he's gonna have to find a lawyer for himself," I said.

"Well, that is his fault for cheating and lying to you. How long did he cheat on you with that other woman?" he asked.

"Five months," I said. "Oh my god. I am sorry for the way that arschloch treated you. You definitely deserve better than Fergal," he said.

"I still can't believe that he continued to lie to me and cheat on me for most of our marriage," I said, sniffling.

"Hey, please don't do that around me," he said, wrapping his arm around me. I held him as we hugged each other.

"Sorry. What if I don't find someone better than him?" I asked. "Oh you will. Just give yourself time to heal. Maybe once your heart heals, maybe the right person will come around," he said.

"Thank you, Marcel," I said, smiling. "You're welcome. Let's go work out," he said. Marcel and I go inside the gym.

An Hour Later

Marcel and I finished our work out together. I'm all worn out from beating up a punching bag, pretending it's Fergal's face.

We just left the gym. We went to get some power smoothies. We are sitting on a park bench next to each other.

"Good job today, Jaelyn. Great job hitting and kicking that punching bag. Even though you kicked me in the balls," he said.

"I am so sorry," I said. "It's okay. At least I'm not throwing up," he said. I nodded. "That's good," I said, smiling.

"So how's your kids doing?" he asked. "They're good. My oldest keeps asking if you and I are dating and I keep telling her that we're just friends," I said.

"Oh wow. How old is she again?" he asked. "10, she'll be 11 in May and I'll be 28 two days after her birthday," I said.

"Wow. It's weird that you got pregnant with her in high school," he said. "I know. It's still weird that she's not a baby anymore. She's almost a teenager," I said.

Marcel nodded. "You still don't look old enough to be a mom," he said. "That's what happens when I get pregnant on homecoming night. At least I don't regret getting pregnant with her. I got smarter in school and graduated on time," I said, smiling.

"That's good. So what made you want to be a wrestler?" he asked. "Because of my daughter. I wanted her to have a better childhood than I had. So I decided to move to Orlando, try out for FCW and here I am. Former Raw Women's Champion and hopefully the next NXT Women's Championship," I said.

"That's good. Fabian and I are trying to get in better shape so we can be NXT Tag Team Champions a second time," he said.

"That's good. I can't wait to see the final results," I said. "Thank you, Schon," he said, smiling. I smiled back at him.

"You're welcome. Should we keep walking and talking?" I asked. "Sure. I have plenty of time," he said.

"Cool," I said, smiling. We got up, started walking around the park together.
