Levi and I were in the park, it was weirdly peaceful for the beginning of the summer holidays, (but then again it was a half day for us so take that as you will), Opal was going to meet us there as her Mother wanted her for something and Jake was grabbing us all lunch, so it was just Levi and I for a while.

"Rebecca-"
"Shit what have I done?"
"You've not done anything, (kiss), can you please let me continue"
"Ok, sorry"
"Thank you, I, uh, I wanted to ask you something, I'm not sure what your stance is on this but uh, do you want to marry me?"

I wasn't expecting that, but it wasn't an unpleasant surprise, and you know what, I could see myself spending the rest of my life with him, which was weird, not because he's weird, (well he is weird but he's my kind of weird, so I don't mind), but because the Addams didn't exactly have healthy marriages, so it was weird that I was so sure of this, (but I also didn't want to question it so I didn't).

"Yes you goofball, I will marry you"

It was genuinely a nice dinky ring, (I know you're all going to find that weird, but I hated the idea of a stupidly big ring for the sake of it), which meant that Levi actually knew me and all my weird quirks.

"How did you know about the ring?"
"Well I figured that because you didn't like anything heavy on your hands that rings would have the same logic"
"You know me so well"
"I would hope so, I just asked ya to marry me"
"Oh piss off, you know what I meant here"
"Yeah I do know"

It was nice that it was just the two of us together for the proposal and not like a group of us where there'd be pressure, (not that Levi would do that as we both aren't keen on group settings), a couple of minutes later, Jake was coming back with lunch.

"So, I got Bex a curry chip, though I don't know how much that'll fill you-"
"I don't eat as much as you and Levi, so I'll be fine with just that"
"Alright then, and we've got fish and curry chips"

We didn't really talk while we were eating, (as it felt slightly weird without Opal), I'm not going to say much more about the lunch as a meal and meals aren't exactly exciting unless there's a fist fight involved and there wasn't so.

Anyway Opal came back like 20 minutes after we had all finished eating, she looked more confused than usual, (which wasn't a good sign as she was normally a little bit confused on a good day), so we were all a little on edge.

"Opal are you okay?"
"No, not really Bex"
"What happened?"
"Mum wanted to congratulate me for being the first person of her children to actually finish their exams-"
"But Tony's-"
"A teacher, yeah Levi I said that to her, but she then said he doesn't count as he doesn't count her as his mother"

Yeah Opal's mother was just ringing massive alarm bells in my head, as most Mothers wouldn't even think to say that about their children, well most decent Mothers anyway, and I did kind of say it to Opal as she deserved to know.

"That's fucking fishy Opal, that sounds like something my mother would say and she's not exactly up for the world's best Mother award"
"She's not THAT bad Bex"
"Maybe not to you, anyway Bex wouldn't say that unless it's true, and between us all we don't exactly have the best mothers"
"I don't exactly count Jake as I don't legally have a mother"
"Alright Levi, not all are lucky enough to not legally have a Mother"

You might think that it was slightly weird that we didn't say anything about being engaged to Jake and Opal yet, but we wanted to wait until they were both with us and not distracted with other things, maybe that was a weird decision but I don't think it was, (well it wasn't a weird decision but it did have a weird outcome with Opal here).

"Anyway while we have you both here-"
"Shit have you two broken up-"
"Nah Opal, Bex is way too calm for that"
"I love the faith Jake"
"Anyway, we wanted to tell you-"
"Is there a baby on the way-"
"Not that I fucking know of, and it's my vagina, sorry Li, carry on"
"I asked Bex to marry me-"
"Oh my God you said yes!"
"Yes I said yes!, my God Opal you're shit at receiving news, we should've written her a note instead Li"
