People were staring at the duo, Takuma and Y/n, whose hands were intertwined like a couple, which some had led themselves to that kind of conclusion because of everything that they'd witnessed over the course of the days that flew by with all possible haste. The other had a charming smile on his countenance, causing girls to fawn over him despite the possibility of him being in a relationship, and the other had a pissed off look on their face causing almost everyone to cast their gazes away since they thought that it was her being jealous of these lasses gawking at her hypothetical significant other.

That couldn't be further from the truth.

Altho you were cognizant of the ways you two should act since you two had that agreement, doing something like this out in public with the fake relationship of you two still unannounced had you feeling that what you were doing was wrong. Oh well, you just got to suck it up and not be a prissy infant since you did have something to gain from this as well and it was only proper if you did your part.

"I do know that we have a deal about me being your girlfriend, but shouldn't you head off towards your classroom?" You made sure to speak in a hush manner so as to not accidentally reveal the deal that you two partook in.

"I know, I know. I'll go now, okay?" Now in front of the door of the classroom, he decided to finally leave you alone which was a win for you. "At long last-" But it was too early for you to bask in your happiness at being left companionless, because the next thing you knew, his lips landed on your forehead causing you to be dumbstruck. Once your mind had returned to its normal way of thinking, he was long gone before you even had the chance to kick his ass.

"Not even warning me that he was planning to do something like that... The nerve." You quickly made your way towards wherever seat was available since up 'til now, your professor had made no moves to make a seating plan for her students.

You always chose to sit in the middle, not in the back where your focus would wander somewhere else due to being complacent with the teacher not noticing you, and not in the front where your teacher could easily spot you and grind you with questions just because you were the nearest to her.

Now that you were left alone, your thoughts now had the chance to plague you with different ones. Simply put, you weren't technically the most observant person in this room. But when one person whom you knew was blatantly ignoring you, you'd immediately have the hunch that something wasn't right here.

And by that 'one' person, you mean Enki.

You expected something like this to happen but not to this extent. You predicted that after just a few minutes of cooing for him to notice you, he'd eventually give in. Or after a moment or two max, he'd forget his sulking about you not telling him the news immediately since he was your best friend. Lamentably, none of which you had hoped for had worked, leaving you with this heavy feeling in your chest causing you to sigh because of it.

"Not having the best day?"

You scooted over to the left before grabbing your bag as you tried to stand up- an action you weren't given the privilege of executing because of a certain someone stopping you. "Just where do you think you're going?" And you just plopped down on your former seat because you had no intention of wasting the littlest bits of energy you had at the present time by arguing with him.

"Hm? Nowhere." You just shrugged before lolling your head backward, using the back support of your chair as a pillow and placing an arm above your eyes to act as in improvised sleeping mask.

"So." You weren't really in a mood to talk to someone right now, but seeing that you wouldn't want to play with fire due to how dangerous this man was despite him not appearing like that, you chose to entertain him with whatever he had to say.

"I didn't peg you to be the type romanced by the 'love at first sight' troupe."

"And I didn't peg you to be the type to butt into other people's matters. You do look like an asshole either way so I'm not at all surprised."

You knew that maybe he genuinely wanted to form a conversation with you and you were just acting spiteful, but since it's Kozan we're talking about, hm, not likely, He could be plotting something against you for accidentally intruding on his privacy.

"I'm trying to be nice to you but you acting this way doesn't help me at all," he muttered, loud enough for you to hear his exact words.

"Eh. Without pretense, I like your other side better than the mask you're currently wearing."

The parley did not continue after that.

'Ah, shit,' was the thought that flitted through your mind once you'd realized what you'd just said. Did you really just give an impetus for someone to go lovesick over you—

Dumb bitch.
.
.

"Y/n."

"Yeah?"

"You wouldn't mind introducing me to your friends, do you?"

Now, he was starting his attack.

Up to the present time, you knew his hidden agenda as to why he wanted to meet with your friends so badly and why he chose you as his target in the first place.

He was a quick-witted man, thus, you assimilated that he already had an idea as to who the killer of the most recent case was. And it only required you to use your common sense to figure out that it was someone from your social group. You had hypothesized about that already and quickly ruled the idea out, but who were you to even look into this case? You were just some nobody who had zero knowledge about solving crimes so you couldn't technically trust your guess that much.

Classes just ended and it was time for you to head over to your club. Even if you wanted to take no part in this meeting because of the feud between you and Enki, you rarely give your emotions control over your actions, so as a club member, you wouldn't absent just because of something that happened between you and a friend who just so happens to take the same after school activity as you.

"Sure." Was your curt reply.

"Do you think that Yukio will accept me if I give him my member application?" He asked.

"There are still piled up papers about requesting to join our club and not once have I ever seen him look over it. But who knows, he might. He's an eccentric boy so I never really did understand what goes around in that mind of his."

You and Takuma weren't that close when it came to the aspects of social relations, causing you to feel quite awkward around him. Especially with what he did when he escorted you to your classroom. The things you'd do just to erase that moment inside your head to keep it from replaying itself.

Knocking on the door before opening it in spite of Takuma's protests, you ushered him inside the room.

The atmosphere was so tense- so thick that you could cut it cleanly with a butter knife.

"Hope that I'm not late," and fortunately, you weren't because Yukio was just getting ready to begin the meeting.

"You weren't. Though may I ask why you brought an outsider here?" He asked with venom and narrowed eyes yet you just shrugged your shoulders.

"He wants to join our club. And because I have a special kind of relationship with him, I didn't hesitate to bring my beloved here." Vomiting actually sounds quite nice right now, but you'd save that treat for yourself later. "Ah, yes. I take this as my cue to introduce myself. I am Takuma Rowe, Y/n's significant other. I wish to join this club of yours." Too much information, but okay.

He bowed in front of them all and as he returned to his standing form. If glares could kill, he'd be buried deep under the dirt right now due to how intense everyone's stare on him was.

"I believe that I may have to decline your application."

"You hadn't even looked at his form yet. And didn't you say that we need a layout artist? Takuma here would do the job just fine."

"That doesn't impress me much. Go take a seat wherever you want. And you, Takuma, go sit next to Jiryu, the boy with the blue hair." Didn't he just say to sit wherever- you know what, the longer you listen to Yukio, the more brain cells you lose. And you don't even have that many yet their numbers were depleting quicker than you anticipated.

The discussion started and ended before you even knew it. From where you sat, you saw Jiryu giving Takuma the stink eye, and if Yukio was a great leader, he would've disapproved of this and would have scolded Jiryu for such inappropriateness, moreover to a guest. Yet he wasn't so he settled with just staring at Jiryu giving Takuma a hard time with satisfaction.

Enki didn't even bother to greet you like he usually would, and this added even more to the bad feeling in your gut.

You could only pray to the Gods that once tomorrow had arrived, the state of your and Enki's relationship would return back to normal.

"Can I borrow a minute from you, Y/n?" His eyes darted towards the your linked arms with Takuma before continuing, "Alone."

"Uh-huh." You had an inkling of an idea about what he wanted to talk about with you. Well, there's no harm in accepting his invitation, so you just expressed your approval without thinking much about it.

. . .

Not knowing that it'd lead to this fiasco.

"First with Enki, and now a transferee?!"

You didn't know why things ended up this way.

You remembered about Yukio legitimately conferring to you about things that were related to the club. Then things escalated into a heated conversation about him interfering with your own affairs. The next thing you knew, you were pushed unto one of the chairs inside the empty classroom, your arms pinned to the sides as he spilled his hearts out. So this was becoming a pattern, huh? Broken boys cornering you and spilling things to you as if you were a therapist personally hired by them. Seriously, you weren't paid enough for you to be in this kind of deep shit.

It just so happens that you being in a faux relationship with Takuma was his breaking point.

"I did just about anything for you to finally notice me! I annoyed you relentlessly, always made sure to be near you, and even spread those rumors about myself just for you to pay attention to me... So why? Why am I still a no-one to you?!"

SLAP

The sound of your palms harshly meeting with his cheek reverberated and echoed throughout the isolated classroom. You wished that with this action of yours, Yukio'd return back to his own self- that he'd start to realize how he's acting and put a stop to his own madness.

But no, it only incited a tumultuous reaction from it.

"More! Hurt me more! As long as it comes from you, I'll take it-" And someone grabbed the collar of his button-up, throwing him to the side, Yukio's back colliding with the walls.

"You bastard... What the hell are you doing to her?!"

Looks like Takuma was your knight in shining armor for today. Well, that wasn't a part of the contract, but nevertheless, you were still grateful to him. Sweet.
