Chapter 6

"Fight me, hoe!" Taehyung shouted fiercely to his friend.

"Nah, I'll pass." Jeongguk said and went back to checking his phone.

"I said, fight me, hoe!" Taehyung shouted again and stood in his fighting stance. One of his arms was above his head, the other straight out in front of him. His body was facing slightly sideways.

Jeongguk was sitting on the blue chair in the corner of the room and didn't care that his friend was trying to have a battle. Jimin was laying down in bed, giggling at his friends.

Taehyung, trying to provoke Jeongguk, leaned forwards and hit the boy lightly on the head, then returning to his attacking stance. Jeongguk just lifted his head up, stared at his face and then looked back down to his phone.

"Why won't you fight me?" Taehyung whined to his friend, a sad expression on his face.

"I can't be arsed." Jeongguk said smiling.

Taehyung defeatedly dropped his weird pose and plopped down on the hospital bed. He smiled towards Jimin and continued to annoy Jeongguk by making weird noises.

It was now evening, Jimin and Taehyung had spent the whole day in hospital. Jeongguk had joined them just after lunchtime. Jimin hadn't eaten at all because he wasn't allowed to. Taehyung, on the other hand, had gone out to buy food and returned to rub it in Jimin's face.

Just before Jeongguk arrived, Jimin had a small panic attack that didn't last very long. Thankfully, Taehyung had managed to calm him down.

"So Jimin..." Jeongguk started, looking at both Taehyung and Jimin.

"Yeah?" Jimin asked. Jeongguk's eyes were pleading to Taehyung for him to continue.

"Do you mind telling us what happened exactly? You don't have to, but y'know... we wanna know why you overdosed. You should tell us because we're your friends, but if you don't, that's fine. But you should... But you don't have to... But-" Taehyung said nervously, getting interrupted by Jeongguk.

"But please tell us." Jeongguk said.

Jimin visibly tensed. He wanted to tell his friends, but he was scared. He didn't want his friends to think he was stupid or being overly dramatic. Jimin sat up straight, the tube in his nose shifting with his movements. He looked down towards his hands and started twiddling with a string from the sheets that had come undone.

Taehyung pressed a button that was on the side of the bed. It caused the head end of the mattress to lift up and form a 90-degree angle.

"I haven't been well recently, I guess..." Jimin said, not knowing exactly how to phrase what he wanted to say.

"We could tell you haven't been in a cheerful mood recently. When did it start?" Taehyung asked softly, also not knowing what to say.

"I'm not sure, I guess it started in the last six or seven months. I've lost interest in the things I used to enjoy doing. My life is perfectly fine, but I don't see it that way, everything that happens seems a thousand times worse than it actually is." Jimin said, tears flowing down his cheeks and onto his dressing gown below him. "Everything I do seems tedious, I don't find any fun in life. I also really ha-hate myself." The boy started sobbing and Taehyung shuffled over so he could hug him.

"You don't have to tell us if you don't want to." Taehyung said. Jeongguk also stood up from the seat in the corner and sat on the left side of Jimin. He ran his hand up and down Jimin's exposed back in a comforting way, his cold fingers tickling his skin.

"I do Tae, I have to tell you. Look where I am for god's sake! I've hospitalized myself." Jimin sobbed into Taehyung's shoulder. He pulled back so he could look at both of his friends as he spoke. "I've always had a low self-esteem, but the hatred I feel towards myself is more than that. I genuinely hate me, the way I look, talk, behave, everything. I'm disgusting, and I don't understand why you two stick around with me."

"Why did you never tell us, Jimin?" Jeongguk asked, tears also forming in his eyes.

"I couldn't, I didn't want to get you involved in my stupid antics. You shouldn't have to put up with me." Jimin cried. Taehyung pulled Jimin close again and squished him in a hug.

"We care about you Jiminie, we want you to tell us when you're not feeling well or when something happens. We're your best friends and we want the best for you." Taehyung said.

"He's right, you're not a burden at all Jimmie. You not telling us hurts us more." Jeongguk said comfortingly.

The three of them spent a while talking about the whole thing and only stopped when the nurses came in to remove to tube out of Jimin's stomach.

"God, that feels amazing! My left nostril can finally breathe!" Jimin said and poked his own nose.

"Thank god they said you won't vomit anymore. Gukkie is lucky he didn't have to see you throw up black liquid." Taehyung complained and sat down on the plastic chair. Jeongguk laughed at Taehyung's misfortune and stood next to him.

The door opened to reveal a doctor that had visited Jimin earlier. He had dark brown hair tousled back and thick-framed glasses covering his eyes. He was taller than the other males in this room and had a friendly aura surrounding him. The man looked to be a couple of years older than Jimin at most.

"Hey Jimin, how are you feeling?" The doctor asked, dimples showing as he smiled at the patient. He walked to the end of the bed and looked at some papers he had in a clipboard.

"I'm feeling good, thank you." Jimin answered shyly.

"That's great. I need to run you through some information and ask you a few questions." The doctor said. Jimin nodded and waited for the man to continue. "We've managed to clear the paracetamol out of your system. Luckily you came in before eight hours of having ingested the pills and we could do so. You should be fine to do anything once you've left the hospital and there shouldn't be any side effects. However, we're going to have to keep you in overnight so we can make sure everything is fine."

"Okay." Jimin said simply. Taehyung then stood up and walked towards the two.

"Sorry to interrupt, but I'm going to leave real quick so I can get some overnight things. I'll stay the night with you Jimin, if I'm allowed..." Taehyung looked up towards the doctor, waiting for permission. The doctor said it was fine so he continued. "So, is there anything you need from your place?" Taehyung asked.

"All I need is a charger for my phone and some clothes to change in to for tomorrow. Maybe a toothbrush?" Jimin said. Taehyung then picked up his belongings and said goodbye before leaving.

Throughout all of this, Jeongguk was standing next to the chair in the corner silently. He stared wide-eyed at the doctor and looked as if he had seen a ghost.

"In about an hour we'll move you to the room you'll stay in overnight. Once you're there we'll give you some food so you're not hungry. In the morning we'll take a blood test to check everything's okay and then you'll be discharged." The doctor said.

"Okay, that's fine." Jimin said, still not knowing what to answer.

"I'm going to ask a few questions about why you overdosed, I'm not sure if you want your friend present or not." The doctor said looking towards Jeongguk. They made eye contact and Jeongguk looked like he was going to faint.

"Oh no, he's fine. I want Jeongguk to stay." Jimin said and smiled at his friend.

"Okay, that's all right." He said and reached his hand towards Jeongguk. The younger boy shook his hand and smiled lightly, a faint blush dusting his cheeks. "Lovely to meet you, Jeongguk."

Jeongguk muttered something unintelligible in response and the doctor turned back to Jimin.

"If you feel uncomfortable answering, anything don't feel pressured to respond." The doctor said and Jimin nodded his head. "Is there a reason as to why you overdosed this morning?"

Jimin wasn't in the mood for answering. Why? Because he was in a good mood and he didn't want to ruin it. If he started talking about depressive topics, he'd start to feel down again.

"I just- I don't know, I've been feeling really depressed recently and I wanted to-" Jimin started explaining but then the door burst open, revealing a young man with a laptop in his hands. He had white hair that was down, covering his forehead. He was slightly shorter than the doctor and walked with confidence.

"Hey Namjoon, I know you asked me to fix your computer and shit, but like, you could have at least deleted your history before you gave it to me." The man said, looking up to talk to the doctor, who was now known to be called Namjoon (even though it put it on his nametag so if people took the time to look at it they would see his name and wouldn't have to ask him constantly what his name was, like can't you read?).

"Yoongi, get out. I'm talking with my patient." Namjoon asserted, his voice low but scary. The man, Yoongi, just looked at him and smiled, then looking to Jimin.

"Hey..." He started saying, trying to get the name of the patient.

"Jimin."

"Hey, Jimin. Do you mind me being here?" Yoongi said humorously. Jimin giggled lightly, finding the boy funny, and shook his head.

"See Namjoon, Jimin doesn't mind!" Yoongi joked. "And I'm sure his friend..."

"Jeongguk."

"-his friend Jeongguk doesn't mind either." Yoongi said, clicked his fingers and looked back to the computer. Namjoon had a furious expression on his face. "The question here is, why do you watch porn without opening an incognito tab? Like, come on Namjoon, this is the 21st century for crying out loud!"

Namjoon then tried to snatch the laptop out of Yoongi's grip. He failed and fell forward as Yoongi quickly ran to Jimin's side, placing the computer on Jimin's lap.

"Hey cute guy in the hospital bed, do you mind reading what my good friend Namjoon here was watching last night at two in the morning?" Yoongi asked and showed him the computer screen.

The page had a long list of porn video titles, ranging from 'Guy makes love to his petite boyfriend' to 'Fat cock ripping boy's asshole apart'. Jimin laughed at what this stranger was showing him, Jeongguk running up to the other side of the bed to check what was so funny.

"Yoongi get out, now!" Namjoon shouted, walking up to Yoongi and pulling him out the door.

"Oh no, what shall I do?! Help me Jimin, for I am being dragged away!" Yoongi joked and started fake crying until Namjoon pushed him out the doorway. Jimin and Jeongguk both had confused yet entertained looks on their faces.

"Please excuse me for a second, I've got to speak to my friend for a second." The doctor, Namjoon, said and took the laptop off of Jimin. He walked out the entry to where Yoongi was standing with a smirk on his face and closed the door gently.

Loud debating could be heard from the closed door. Jimin started giggling again, Jeongguk joining in this time.

"What the hell was that?" Jeongguk asked between laughs.

"No clue, but it was hilarious." Jimin said. Jeongguk returned to his seat in the corner of the room and continued smiling to himself.

After about a minute, the entry reopened and the doctor walked back in. Yoongi stood in the doorway, closed laptop folded under his arm. He still had a slight smirk and was enjoying the whole situation.

"I'm sorry about what just happened, it was very unprofessional and I hope you can forgive me and my friend." Namjoon said and apologetically smiled to Jimin.

"Nah fam, I'm not sorry. I don't regret a second." Yoongi said.

"Yoongi-" Namjoon started shouting.

"Don't worry about it." Jimin interrupted. "I don't think I need to forgive you since you did nothing wrong. And the whole situation was funny, I don't mind. It's made my day." Jimin explained happily and Yoongi winked at him making Jimin blush deeply.

"Thank god, I'm so sorry. You can leave now Yoongi." Namjoon said and pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose.

"I'm going, just give me the phone number of the tattoo artist before I go." Yoongi said, moving closer to his friend.

"I told you, I don't have it anymore."

"For fuck's sake..." Yoongi grumbled and turned to walk away.

"Wait!" Jimin shouted, stopping Yoongi in his tracks. "What do you need a tattoo artist for?"

Yoongi tilted his head to the side in confusion, like a dog does. "I wanted to get a tattoo, but I can't find anyone that's good at it and I know I can trust."

"I know someone who is really good at tattooing, he has his own studio for it." Jimin said.

"Namjoon, give me a pen." Yoongi demanded and put his hand out waiting for Namjoon to put a pen in it. Namjoon took a pen out of his white coat pocket and placed it in Yoongi's expecting hand.

Walking to Jimin's side, Yoongi took Jimin's hand in his own. Jimin's eyes widened at the action and he could feel his heartbeat quickening. Luckily, he wasn't connected to a heart rate monitor or it would be beeping out of control.

Yoongi took the cap of the pen off with his teeth and kept it there as he started writing on Jimin's hand. Yoongi's skin felt cold against Jimin's, Jimin's hands warm from being tucked under the sheets. From up close Yoongi's eyes looked shiny and absolutely gorgeous, the white of his eyes contrasting with his brown irises. They were focused on writing and fuck he looked hot as he did so.

The wet ink on Jimin's skin felt nice. Yoongi pulled away and took the lid of the pen out of his mouth. "Text me the tattoo artist's details. Get well soon, cutie." He said, winked and started walking out the door again. As he walked past Namjoon, he placed the pen back in his pocket and then threw the lid of the pen in the air, not caring where it landed.
