1- Lucifer
Satan's life is a living hell
Dean's POV
Woah woah woah- what did I just say?! This is Lucifer we're talking about, why would I care? In fact, I don't care. The more I though about it, I was outraged. This was the angel- the devil- that broke my brother. Why the hell would he bring himself out here?
Wait-
How is he out here? He's supposed to be in his cage, in hell, there's no way he could've escaped.
"Wh-who are you?" the disheveled Lucifer asked, turning to face me.
He doesn't recognize you. Strange, isn't it? A voice echoed my brain, one I could tell was altered. I dismissed it. I'm going insane. I was dead, so this is probably some Reaper playing tricks on me. Great. Just fan-flippin-tastic.
"Doesn't matter. Why the hell are you up here?" I all but snapped at the broken figure of a man before me.
He only turned his back to me, hands gripping at the rail until they were unhealthily pale, as if they weren't already. Lucifer chuckled bitterly.
"Do you know the feeling when the one person you love most betrays you?"
I winced at the thought. "Far too well," I mutters under my breath, otherwise saying nothing in response. I don't think Lucifer heard me as he continued.
"I loved my father all too much, and in response... he left me. My own siblings turned against me, how was I supposed to react? I... I couldn't go down without a fight. I didn't want to hurt Michael..." he paused as he took a deep breath. "And now I'm seen as a monster. I didn't want this. I wanted things to be as they should've been; my father knowing how much I loved him. I- I shouldn't have been thrown out... right?"
It was clear he wasn't expecting a response, but I spoke up anyway.
"Really?" I started in an almost angry tone.
"Wha-"
"You're upset because you can't have what you want? Look around, dumbass. No one gets all they want. There's still billions of humans out there, plus however many dick-headed Angels and demons, or any of the supernatural beings that I don't know about. You really want to die that bad, huh?" Words spewed from my mouth before I was able to comprehend what I was saying.
"Wait-"
"Besides, you know full well this couldn't hurt you. Why are you bothering? Find something worth doing and stop hurting people."
I was breathing heavily, practically seething as the eyes of Lucifer's broken vessel stared back into my own. A moment of heavy silence passed between us. His mouth opened a few times, only to close a moment after.
"Fine" Lucifer finally managed to get out. "You're... you're right... w-who are you?"
I still didn't answer, saying, "If I'm right, then you better start leaving now."
He nodded curtly, and spun on his heal. Footsteps seemed to echo through the air, until they dissipated into silence. I turned to see the vacated roof. My feet then carried me to edge as I looked over, taking in the sight of a city I didn't recognize. Some messed up part of my brain pushed me into wanting to jump. I don't know what brought me to thinking about it... only that I did. I was already dead anyway, so why did this all matter?
Heavy air passed through my lips as I glanced over once more, preparing myself for the drop I was going to set myself on.
That was, until I blinked. The area was dark, except for the small source of sunlight from above. A window, in a door.
I was on the staircase.
Here we go again, I guess...
