Grayson's Pov.

       Nothing. What am i supposed to do now? I did my best and all i got was a hand twitch.

    Really.

   God i know i messed up bad but i had my hopes up.

 i really would do anything for her to wake up. i just want to see her beautiful cheerful smile. i miss the old  days where we were good friends.

      I was driving home while tears threatening to fall.

"All i ask for is for her to wake up. p-please." my voice cracked. that is when all the tears fell. why are all the bad memories coming back again.

   i parked the car in the garage and went running to my room.

"Gray honey?" mom shouted after me.

  i went to my room and locked the door behind me.i leaned on the door and memories started to flood again. why cant i just forget and move on with my life

                          7 year old Grayson

i woke up at the sound of shouting. i ran down the stairs like my life depended on it. i ran to a sight that i thought i well never see.

my mom was crying and dad was hitting while holding a beer bottle.

"Mom,dad." i said with tears on my eyes.

"Men don't cry you pussy." Dad said with a harsh voice.

"Harold this is between me and you leave him alone" Mom said with tears and a bloody nose.

"You see son, your mother wanted a divorce."Dad said looking in my eyes. "See. That is how women should be treated. Like trash. You use them then you throw them. Like unwanted trash. Men shouldn't be thrown. Men make the rules as they go."

"Harold stop filling his head with bullshit" Mom said to dad. And dad didn't hesitate to kick her. i froze. i wanted to move ,to call the cops but i couldn't move.

Then we heard the sound of the sirens. I hoped it would be coming in here and thankfully the cops came in here.

"Put your hands behind your head and freeze" the cop yelled to my father.

"This can't happen. i can't forget him mom" i yelled to mom through the door.

"Honey open up." mom said. and i did as she told me too. She knows me. She well know how to fix this.

I opened the door with tears in my eyes and looking at mom hopelessly.

"Aww honey" mom said pulling me in a hug."look baby. You dont have to forget him, he is your father. you just deal with it"

"I-i cant lose her too mom."i said sand stopped the tears . I am being a "pussy" .

"you wont lose her. she is strong shell make it honey. i know she will." she said sweetly trying to calm me down.

i really need her to wake up.
