🔵 Chapter 6 🔵

[Halilintar's POV]

I didn't get the chance to go up the rooftop during our breaks because there was an activity that's needed to be done and passed before dismissal time. Good thing I manage to finish it on time so I can go to my usual place where I stay. Right now, I'm making my way to the rooftop, just to finally feel the gentle and relaxing breeze of air after doing all those stressful seatworks a while ago.

As I reached the rooftop, I paused. I tried not to lose my temper after seeing who's here again. I firmly clenched my fists, narrowing my eyes towards the person from afar who's busy looking up at the sky.

I forgot the airhead's gonna stay here too...

It didn't took long before he noticed my presence, and I feel like he's smiling again underneath his blue mask. He waved his hand to me, greeting me with full of enthusiasm. I can tell that this brat is restless, seriously...

I only ignored him, walking pass by him and made my way towards the spot where I always find myself comfortable with: on the ledge. When I finally sat on the ledge, I carefully rested my back and my head on the wall behind me. I doubt that the airhead likes doing dangerous stuff like this.

"So, this is your spot?" Out of nowhere, the stupid airhead showed up, and my eyes widened in shock after noticing something. He's freaking hanging upside down while using the railings?!

Is he crazy?! He doesn't care if he fell down from this five-story building?! Plus, he's only using his feet for support onto the railings!

"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?! YOU'RE GOING TO FALL, IDIOT!" I furiously yelled, immediately pulling him back on the ground.

When I managed to pull him back, he chuckled lightly. "Oh, you do care about me." He sneered, which made my head boil in anger.

"You're insane! You know that?!" I snapped, while the idiot only let out an airy laugh. What's so humorous about that?! What he just did, was freaking ridiculous!

"I love doing crazy stuffs!" The idiot cheerfully answered, making my teeth gritted in annoyance.

Yeah right, doing crazy stuffs that'll lead you to endangering your life! What is this stupid airhead thinking?! He's putting himself at risk!

"I'm just testing if you actually care. I guess you still do, even with that cold attitude of yours!~"

"Tch! You're freaking unbelievable..." I indignantly shook my head, sitting back down on the ledge while glaring at the airhead afterwards.

"Anyway, thanks for saving me back there!"

"Whatever, idiot."

Did I just literally save that idiot from falling? Tch, why should I care about him?! He's an opposite of peace! I shouldn't have done that and let him fall for his death instead, then I could have peace! What's wrong with me?!

"By the way, I have an interesting story to share with ya!" He said, as he sat down beside me. Urgh, here we go again...

"Once upon a time, there was a boy named 'Hali', and he wanted to have a 'Hali'-day in 'Hali'-wood using his brand new 'Hali'-copter. But a boy named Taufan said that he was only 'Hali'-cinating and that everything was only a dream. Then Hali lived 'Hali' ever after. The end."

Wow, really interesting. So interesting, really, airhead. Very freaking interesting, in a sarcastic way.

He then proudly bowed, while I only rolled my eyes off him. Then, there was silence. Finally, he learned how to shut his mouth up for the first time.

Suddenly, a strong breeze of air blew right through us, and I felt relaxed by how the wind gently touched our skin, and how it made our hair flew smoothly with the wind. It just feels so refreshing, and I love this feeling.

I then quietly glanced at the airhead beside me. I noticed that both of his eyes are closed, like he's truly enjoying this moment. I guess he loves this feeling too.

But, curiosity got me when my eyes slowly moved down to his blue mask. I have this sudden urge of wanting to pull that mask off if he's trying to hide something from his face, but I feel like it's a bad idea, so I just ignored it. My brows furrowed, as I timidly tell him what I wanted to say.

"I'm just curious..." I uttered, causing the airhead to look at me as if, he's ready to answer my question. "Why are you wearing a mask...?"

"Oh, this?" He simply asked, as he pointed at the mask on his face. "I just wanted to look cool, like you~" He replied, smirking afterwards.

"Yeah right..." I scoffed. Then, I pursed my lips. "Though, why me? I mean, out of all our schoolmates here in school, why did you choose me? You'll find me boring soon enough because I rarely talk."

"Well, like I said. Unlike the others, I don't see you differently. I just thought that you only want to talk to someone who you can trust with. Plus, I don't find you boring. I find you as a very fun person who I can spend the rest of my life with." He stated, making me feel uncertain with his response.

"... You might regret that."

"I don't." He replied, chuckling slightly as he looked at me. "And you won't as well." He added, with a gentle tone in his voice which I find it so familiar.

"Oh yeah!" He exclaimed all of the sudden, which made me stared at him in confusion. "You're finally talking to me!~" He snickered, causing me to blush in embarrassment.

"I was just asking, idiot."

"Still! You don't do the usual nod or, answer with a simple reply anymore! You're improving, Hali!~"

"Shut up!"

"You're so cute when you're in denial!~"

"Zip your mouth or I'll chop your tongue off, you stupid airhead!"

The idiot only laughed once again at my response. "You're really a fun person to be with. I really enjoy your company, Hali!~"

"I told you not to freaking call me with that stupid nickname!"

"Tee-hee~ It just suits you, Hali!"

I grunted, heavily sighing in defeat. This brat is really good in pissing me off. I really want to smack his stupid head off the railings.

"Okay, okay. I'll stop, alright?" The airhead said, giggling softly once more. Geez, this freaking idiot is making me lose my mind.

"Since you asked your question, can I ask you mine?" He asked, which I only respond with a hum.

"What's really going on in your house? With your family?"

I heaved a long sigh. "It's just... my parents... They kept on fighting over something, and I'm just exhausted with their petty quarrels." I answered.

"But, have you ever done anything about it?" The airhead asked, which only made me looked down gloomily in silence.

No, I haven't. I'm just too afraid to intervene with their loud arguments. I'm too afraid that I might make things worse than it already is. So I'll just have to pretend that nothing has happened, because I don't want my parents to get ended up in jail because of it. It'll be like, I have no parents at all, and became an independent person at a young age.

These things that I just said, I didn't reply any of it to him. I only kept it to myself. I just don't want to be a burden, and I don't want them to think that I'm weak.

"I guess you haven't yet..." He mumbled, staring at me with a worried look plastered on his face.

"Anyways, wanna stay with me at my house for the weekend? I'm sure your parents wouldn't mind, right?" He asked. "Besides, tomorrow is a weekend! Plus, we have no homework to do, and we're going to have a free time during the weekend!" He added, looking at me with his hopeful, pleading eyes.

I merely sighed, hesitantly nodding afterwards. "Fine. I'll just get some of my things there." I replied, which made him jump in excitement.

"Sweet!" He exclaimed. "Trust me, you'll gonna love it there!" He stated, and I knew he's smiling once again behind that blue mask of his. "Do you trust me?" He asked, his wide eyes sparkling in ecstasy.

"Yeah... I guess I can trust you."
