🔵 Chapter 5 🔵
[Halilintar's POV]
"... Is this what you've been hiding from us all these years...?"
His question made my heart sunk, but I maintained my composure. I only nodded slightly in response, lowering my head afterwards. Suddenly, he offered his hand to me, making me look up to him in confusion.
"Do you want to stay at my house for a while?" He softly asked. I quickly shook my head in response and frowned.
"No need. Just go home, airhead." I rudely said, as I turned my back at him.
"Hali, please. I don't want you to—"
"I SAID GO HOME, YOU IDIOT!" I exclaimed, facing him once again while trying to hold back my tears. "WAS THAT TOO DIFFICULT FOR YOU TO DO?!"
Freak this tears. I can't cry. Not now. Crying's only for the weak. People like me shouldn't cry. I freaking hate this kind of emotion.
The airhead sighed in defeat. "Alright, if you say so..." He mumbled, and turned around with his head hung low. "You're welcome for your precious bag by the way..." He added, before starting to walk his way home.
I didn't reply back as I watched him go on his own, until he disappeared off my sight. I exhaled sharply, biting my bottom lip afterwards. I then went inside my room through my window, dropping my bag at the side of my study table and plopped myself down on my bed.
Not long after, I slowly dozed off.

"You're still mad?" A soft laugh escaped from someone's lips, smiling at Halilintar afterwards.
The said teenager scoffed. "Shut up! It's your fault for leaving me all of the sudden!" He blamed, glaring at the person he's talking to.
The figure gently placed a hand on the petulant boy's shoulder, chuckling. "I'm sorry then." He genuinely apologized. "Can you forgive me for it?"
Halilintar stayed silent, ignoring the person's last statement as he looked away.
The figure only hummed quietly, pursing his lips. Few moments later, a small smile curved on his lips, facing the lightning elemental after. "I see you made a friend. What's his name? Taufan, was it?"
"I hate that stupid, blue masked airhead... and he's not my friend!"
"Why don't you try to at least... talk to him?"
"He's freaking annoying as heck. He doesn't give me space at all!"
"Well, one day, you'll need a friend like him. You can't just be alone all the time."
"I can manage myself, even without that brat."
"Halilintar..." The figure let out a tired sigh. "You also need to learn how to be... nice. Learn how to communicate with him. You never know what he's actually going through." He calmly stated, staring at the short-tempered teen.
"Why should I care?"
"Because he needs you."
Halilintar furrowed his brows in confusion. "What do you mean?" He asked, making the person smile once more before his whole figure started to fade away.
"You'll understand it soon, Halilintar."

The lightning elemental abruptly woke up, suddenly sitting up straight from his bed with beads of sweat trickling down his face. He grunted, realising it's morning again. He annoyingly rubbed his umber-colored hair and started doing all his usual daily routine again before going to school.
Timeskip to his school, he's currently sitting on his respective seat, waiting as he silently thought about the dream he had earlier. He was left bewildered by it. He just couldn't comprehend what he meant.
"Morning, Hali!~" Taufan— who appeared behind Halilintar, greeted vigorously, making the latter groaned mentally.
'When will this idiot ever leave me alone...?' Halilintar thought, gritting his teeth in irritation.
"Go away, airhead!" He gruffly responded, menacingly glaringly at the boy mentioned.
The wind elemental huffed, playfully folding his arms on his chest. "I just greeted you, yet you gave me that kind of reply? That's just so~ rude..." He remarked, pouting afterwards. Halilintar only scoffed and rolled his eyes off him.
"Well, see you at the rooftop!" He said, grinning while slightly waving his hand before making his way to his twin brother.
Frowning, Halilintar spun his head around to take a quick glance at Taufan, his mind filled with so many questions.

I forgot to mention that they don't have powers in this story. I'm actually trying to make this book a bit more realistic. UwU
