🔵 Chapter 2 🔵
[Halilintar's POV]
After our class ended, I went straight to the rooftop of the school, just to get some fresh air. Good thing they're not prohibiting students to go up here, but I feel like I'm the only one who's been coming here everyday during our dismissal time since my schoolmates are so thrilled to go back home. Whereas for me, never in my life I've always been excited of going back home to my family.
There's too much chaos happening there, so I would rather stay here longer than usual. I don't care if night had already arrived, as long as there's peace. Mom and Dad didn't even gave me curfew hours, so I can stay here as long as I want, even until the moon is up and the stars started shining from above.
Currently, I'm sitting on the ledge, watching the cars pass by, people crossing the streets, and some people's family walking together with happy smiles on their faces. I envy those kids so much. They're so lucky, so freaking lucky.
Especially those kids my age, and those people who are fortunate enough to find a long-lasting friend. Those two simple things: having a happy family, and having a close friend, I don't have any of those. Oh how my life's so freaking hopeless right now.
I let out a long, mournful sigh. 'I'll never going to have those, will I?' I thought, gazing on the horizon glumly.
I rested my head back on the wall behind me, making myself more comfortable. Surely, this school will close down after a few hours, but I'd already planned out how I can go down from here. I just want to stay a bit longer because this quietness relaxes me.
Peaceful. One word I can only describe whenever I'm here on the rooftop. No idiot that'll disturb this tranquil silence, and no ruckus happening around me. Just me, alone, here on the ledge, while staring above the calm sky.
I hope I could just stay here all day, but I have to go home. Still have to get ready for school tomorrow. But I can just go home at exactly midnight. I guess I only have few more hours to stay.
Though I've been thinking... How long will I survive this madness? Because if this will last longer than I thought, then I'd probably end my life here already. But, something's been stopping me from doing so, and I don't even know what it is.
Well, eighty-four more years of torture, how exciting. Guess I have to endure this sickening life for many more years to come. How great is my life, right?
Shaking my head in disbelief, I slowly closed my eyes, taking a small nap for a moment. I just feel so tired, I just want all this to end. Please, that's all I wanted...
... please.

My drowsy eyes slowly opened, waking myself from my slumber. I grunted as I sat up from the ledge, resting my head back on the wall. I waited for a few minutes to get back to my senses then checked the time from my watch.
"Twelve-twenty." I muttered, groaning as I got up from the ledge. I then went down from the rooftop, using the branch of the tree beside the school building, I slowly made my way down on the ground with it. Afterwards, I sprinted back home, hoping my parents are already asleep by this time.
When I reached my house, I didn't enter inside. Instead, I went straight to my window where my room is. I carefully climbed brick by brick and finally got in my room, shutting my window after.
I changed into black shirt and pajamas before lying down on my bed, panting lightly. I stared at the ceiling with my dreary eyes, pursing my lips. Not for long, I slowly drifted off to sleep.

'Morning, again.' I thought as I lazily got up from my bed and immediately took a shower. As usual, I did my daily routine, and never forget my parents would always fight during the day. After wearing my school shoes, I didn't had enough energy to bid my farewells to my parents so I went ahead already.
Fast forward, then here I am again; in school. Sighing, I entered inside, and as usual, my schoolmates would automatically give me those terrified, weird freaking looks, so I walked in a fast pace just to avoid those annoying eye contacts. I went straight to my locker, getting my necessary things again.
I'm already predicting that Duri's face is hiding behind this locker of mine, so I hardly slammed the locker door. But to my surprise, he wasn't there. I sighed in relief, walking towards my classroom afterwards.
Sitting on my chair, I placed my bag infront of me, and rested my back to the backrest.
"Good morning, Halilintar!"
Urgh... Not him again...
"What, Duri?!" I exclaimed, gritting my teeth angrily.
"Meet your new friend," He said, gesturing a boy with a cyan-coloured cap that's positioned sideways, and wearing a blue... mask?
"Taufan!" He introduced, grinning at me.
"Hi!"
