🔵 Chapter 18 🔵
"We're here!~" Taufan chirped, as he spread his arms wide, more like welcoming his friend to enter the certain venue.
"Seriously? An Ocean Park?" Halilintar rose a brow, unmoved by the wind elemental's plan of going to the place mentioned. "I don't recall you planning nor writing anything about going to an Ocean Park from your so-called 'bucket list'." He added, pursing his lips.
"Well, there's one specific activity from my list that we're going to do is actually here in this place." The blue-masked teen stated, his closed eyes smiling at his friend. "And maybe after our scuba diving later on, we could somehow split up and buy some souvenirs here and there."
"Not interested."
"Then fine, accompany me instead!"
"Whatever."
"Alright!" Taufan cheered, giggling slightly afterwards. "Come on! I can't wait for us to dive into the sea!" He eagerly said, before skipping his way towards their next exciting activity.
"I'm coming, I'm coming...!"

With their wetsuits and their diving equipment worn, the two venturesome teenagers are ready to plunge their way into the calm, clear sea. They had their snorkels on, with each of them carrying a tank for them to have some oxygen to breathe. All their belongings were both locked in the same locker, as well as their caps, and Taufan's blue mask.
Because of this, Halilintar would see Taufan without his blue mask for a straight, long hour, and also, his white strand of hair floating with the waters. Even though he had already seen all of it before, he couldn't help but to stare at it once more without getting dumbfounded. Afterall, Taufan would often take off his blue mask and his cap, except for the fact that he needs to go to the bathroom to do his business.
Going back with the boys, before the instructor even starts to count and ask if they're ready, Taufan without hesitation, immediately jumped into the water, his body floating gently like he's in a spaceship from outer space. Soon, Halilintar joined in, following the spirited lad afterwards. Meanwhile with the instructor, he only just shrugged off the fact that he just got ignored by a bunch of impatient teenagers and just moved on to his next job to do.
Weightless, invigorating, and carefree. Three words that the boys could only described now as they are diving onto a whole new world. The world of the beautiful home of various species of marine life.
They saw some captivating and exquisite coral reefs from the seafloor. They'd also swum with some different fishes. There was also a time when, a nurse shark just passed by them, making the wind element to hide behind Halilintar in fear while shaking uncontrollably, with the latter only rolled his eyes.
"Mmmm hmM mMmmM hMm mM?!" Taufan's voice was muffled, and since they are underneath the land, it was inscrutable for Halilintar to understand.
Taufan sighed sharply with his snorkel. "MmmMm HmmMm MmMmm hMmm mMM?!" He asked in a humming way once more, now making random, unfamiliar sign languages. Unfortunately, Halilintar couldn't still understand what he's saying, and made a simple sign language that he couldn't comprehend what he's talking about.
Taufan made a weirdly frustrated-toned sound, and just waved his hand at him, telling his friend to just forget about it and continue their scuba diving. Halilintar on the other hand, only dropped his shoulders in exasperation, displeased by Taufan's response.
Moments later, the wind elemental energetically swam towards his friend and pulled out his phone— that was wrapped up in a sealed plastic bag— from his pocket. He showed the phone to him, telling him that they should take a picture while they're in the water. With glazed look in Halilintar's rubecsent eyes, it was obvious that he wasn't interested in taking pictures, but he had no choice but to gave in since he knew Taufan will not stop begging and forcing him to be in the photo.
After taking a selfie together, Taufan's cyan-blue eyes sparkled the moment he stared at the picture they'd taken. He showed the picture to Halilintar, but because of his distasteful attitude, he 'gently' shoved the phone away from his face, which caused Taufan to look at him with a deep frown and a sulking pout.
When the lightning element saw his expression, he gritted his teeth in annoyance. 'Fine...' He thought, as he snatched Taufan's phone from his hold without warning and only replied back a thumbs-up with a poker-face.
Hence, this made Taufan smiled brightly, squeezing the grumpy boy into a tight, grateful hug. The moment he was hugged, Halilintar wasn't affected by the firm gesture. Instead, his bloodshot eyes soften, one of his hand making his way to the wind elemental's back and shyly, but gently patted him. The hug was kind of familiar to him, his mind thought so.
Not long after, Taufan broke the hug, with Halilintar lending his phone back to him. The hyper lad then gestured to carry on with their on-going scuba diving before their time is up. His friend nodded in agreement, as they resumed to descend onto the seafloor and gazed around the phenomenal scenery under the sea.

As the two teenagers got off the water, Taufan firstly lied down on the cemented floor, feeling breathless and wanted to inhale some real air for a short while. Meanwhile with Halilintar, he sat on a steel bench, panting slightly as well. Afterall, both of them got tired for the day because of doing two things at the same time in Taufan's 'bucket list'.
Feeling his stomach growled, Taufan chuckled slightly, looking up at his friend— but his perspective to him is upside-down since he's lying on the floor. "Let's go and grab something to eat first before we buy some souvenirs?" He asked, grinning.
"Now that you mentioned it, let's hurry up and get changed. I'm starving too anyway." Halilintar replied, before standing up and went straight to the locker room.
"Hey! We finally share the same braincells together!" The wind elemental said out of the blue, going to the locker room afterwards.
"Shut up! I only said that because I'm really hungry!"
"So should we get some fries, or hotdogs, or cotton candy—"
"Order when we're in the freaking stall, idiot!"
"Eh, we need to choose some food already so by the time we get to the stall, we can just say our orders without making the seller wait for us longer while we're looking in the menu to decide what our orders are!"
"Just shut up and let me change my clothes in peace!"
"So I won the debate?! Alright!"
"I said shut up!"

If there's anything that can make a person feel better, it's eating delicious foods. Currently, Taufan and Halilintar were eating in the food court, feeling contented and relieved with the munched snacks they'd ordered in their mouths. As they consume their food, their energies are slowly recharging and recovering back up, making their tummies feel full after they'd finished eating.
Taufan took his last bite from his hamburger, licking the ketchup that was left from the side of his lips. "Mmm...! Their hamburgers are the best!" He complimented, before picking up his iced tea and took a long sip from his drink.
"No. Their noodles are the best." Halilintar responded, setting aside his noodles and gently take hold of his cup of coffee, taking a sip from it as well.
"No, no, nope! It's their hamburgers!" The wind elemental retorted, huffing.
"It's noodles!" The lightning elemental argued back, his ruby-red eyes glaring at Taufan.
"Hamburgers!"
"Noodles!"
"Hamburgers!"
"Noodles!"
"Iced tea!"
"Coffee!"
"Chocolate!"
"Vanilla!"
"Blue!"
"Red!"
"Sunny!"
"Stormy!"
"Winter!"
"Spring!"
"Morning!"
"Evening!"
"Rooftop!"
"Rooftop!"
Hearing their same responses, Taufan cringed for a moment before laughing wholeheartedly, while Halilintar only bit his bottom lip with his cheeks puffed out like an adorable, fuming little kid.
"See?! I knew we're both sharing the same braincells together!" The blue-masked boy remarked, still chortling in glee.
"That's stupidly absurd, airhead!" The lightning elemental snapped, crossing both of his arms on his chest.
"What?~ Be happy we're like twins or so, but with different ideal hobbies and choices!~" Taufan cheerily stated, smiling warmly underneath his blue mask.
Halilintar only sighed in defeat. "Whatever, idiot." He mumbled, rolling his eyes and finished drinking his cup of coffee.
The wind element let out another chuckle before staying silent, consuming his unfinished drink as well. By the time Halilintar was done with his beverage, he suddenly remembered about the scene where he couldn't grasp what Taufan was saying when they were scuba diving earlier. Before he could forget about it, he quickly brought up the question to the latter.
"By the way, what were you saying earlier?" Halilintar asked. "That time when we were scuba diving?" He added, hoping that Taufan would give him the honest answer.
"I was asking if you enjoyed our time today." Taufan replied, as he played with the straw from his finished drink. "And, knowing you, I'm sure you'll deny—"
"I did."
The wind elemental paused, slowly glancing at his friend with a dazed look. "For real?" He questioned once more, making Halilintar to scratch the back of his head in annoyance.
"Yes, I really did, airhead. Don't make me repeat my answer for the third time." The grumpy lad responded, causing Taufan to gasp while smiling widely.
"Can't believe you agreed!"
"Have I ever disagreed?"
"Yes you do, pikachu!"
"What did you call me?!"
"Oh yeah! Accompany me, Hali! Gonna go buy souvenirs, remember?" Taufan grinned, intentionally changing the topic. Halilintar merely groaned, standing up from his seat and proceeded to the place where all the souvenirs were being sold.
"Hey! Wait for me! Don't leave me alone, Hali!" Taufan sobbed dramatically, before catching up with his snobby friend from behind.
As they reached the place mentioned, Taufan then started roaming around, quietly checking out some different items from each shop. That's when, one item caught his eye, making him stop infront of a shop that's selling silicone wristbands. He saw two of the said products that were pretty unique from the common designs of silicone wristbands, and decided to buy it immediately before any customer does.
When he was finished, he quickly ran towards Halilintar, holding the two wristbands in hand. The designed logos of each wristbands were like the similar logos from their caps. But what made him smile softly is that, both of the wristbands he bought, had words of 'Best Friends'.
He gave the black with red-colored font wristband to Halilintar, and wore the blue with yellow and white-colored font one for himself. He also thought of taking a photo of both of them, wesring the wristbands together, which made Halilintar grunted once more and just agreed with it, but he said to make it quick before he change his mind. Nonetheless, despite all their commotion with each other, they couldn't deny the fact that they truly enjoyed their time together.
And because of that, those two activities they did for today, were both checked out from Taufan's list of activities he wanted to do, with his friend, Halilintar.
