Where did it all go wrong? Echo asked herself for the fifth time. What had happened...what mistake did they make where this became a thing? She thought back at why this happened.

~several hours earlier~
The Nemesis had successfully made it to planet Earth. Everyone was on their toes about it. Megatron was thrilled, he wanted to destroy Prime and get his love back to him all in the same fell swoop, also to get rid of Soundwave. Soundwave was worried for Echo's sake, here it'll be hard to hide her. Echo was worried for Soundwave and afraid the war will just destroy Earth. And the Autobots naturally feared for mankind and how they might end up like them.
After getting as close to an energon mine, the Autobots decided it was time to take action. Echo was supposed to be left behind, yet she had gone through the bridge before it closed. Megatron and Optimus clashed in battle as their teams followed in suit. Soundwave was just there to well be there, and scan the energon supply when he noticed Echo, why was she here! Why did they bring her!? Her life was now in danger. She looked around and immediately hid. Soundwave ran over to help her when Bulkhead nearly rammed into his side, he dodged by an inch. Echo watched everything with widened optics, fear making her shake and send out an emp burst, causing any weapons and other scanner tools to stop working, the battle stopping with confusion on everyone's face, why did the weapons stop? Megatron glared at his cannon and hit it several times yet nothing happened "What in the name of Primus is going on!" He growled angrily. Optimus narrowed his optics, he had a theory of what happened: Soundwave. But that didn't explain why he would take out the Decepticons' weapons as well. Soundwave ran over and grabbed Echo, holding her close as he looked around for an exit. When he found it, he raced for it pulling Echo after him.
Megatron glared then he saw Soundwave run with his love! Shoving past Optimus and the Autobots, he chased after them and gaining. Echo looked around and ran quickly, following her love. Even though there was a huge chance of being seen, or attacked, Echo never felt safer than right now.
Finally they reached the exit of the cave and raced out into the open, if they got far enough away they'd be safe. Since the emp burst had stopped weapons, it also stopped transforming for a while and they had to stop at the edge of a cliff. Soundwave looked around before moving her back away and went to run another direction when a sword ran straight through his chassis narrowly missing his spark. Echo screamed as Soundwave collapsed, energon escaping his wound. Echo saw Megatron, he was the one who hurt Soundwave! She was so afraid she barely could tell that she had raced away from Megatron. She was scared. She looked around wildly for a place to escape, a place to hide. There was no where. Megatron was catching up to the small femme and grabbed her arm roughly, jerking her to him. There, he had his love, the soon to be femme leader of the Decepticons and the ruling queen beside him as he conquers the entire universe. She yelped with fear and jerked away from him but he had a strong grip, she hit at his chassis but that was pointless, she was weak so it barely phased him. She tried running back to Soundwave but Megatron jerked her back "He's going to die here Love, don't bother trying to help him. He brought this on himself when he challenged me for you." Echo sank down to her knees, sobbing as he kept a hold of her.
Optimus ran over towards Megatron, he wasn't going to allow his brother to take off with Echo but their bridge appeared behind them, he wasn't fast enough as Megatron walked through dragging a weak and upset Echo behind him. Bumblebee and Bulkhead ran over to Soundwave and got ready to attack until they saw his wound. Optimus ran over and commed Ratchet to prepare the med-bay. Bulkhead and Bumblebee picked up Soundwave even though not everyone agreed with taking him back.
At the Autobot base they all assumed it was Echo, until they saw that he had a bigger frame than her and figured it was Soundwave, Ratchet didn't want to help him really but being a medic he had to. It was his job, either Con or Bot he had to help both, who ever was in his med-bay. After fixing Soundwave's wound, Ratchet looked at Optimus and asked what exactly happened that he brought a Con, and not just any Con but Soundwave himself, back to base. Optimus sighed and explained what had happened, everyone listening, then he paused mid sentence and looked at all of them "I guess, it's time you heard the real reason for the beginning of this War. It's not just the fact that Megatron was upset that I had become Prime instead of him but because of Echo." "Echo's the reason behind our war!" Arcee snapped, they had all lost so much, she had a right to be angry. Optimus told her to calm and listen to the story so that blame wouldn't be given to Echo, it wasn't her fault "It's because both Soundwave and Megatronus had fallen for the same femme, Echo. But it was obvious she was with Soundwave. After learning that she had feared him, Megatronus thought that having power would change her feelings for him. He figured becoming the next Prime would give him power and her to love him, I tried to stop this stupidity but as you can see it didn't go the way I had planned. So then war broke out leading us to being here today." "Okay, so lemme get this straight," Miko started, "Your war started not solely based on the fact that your brother was mad you took his spot as Prime but that he thought you were taking away the power that he thought would get Echo to love him?" Optimus nodded "Sadly he hasn't gotten any smarter and that Echo's life is most likely in danger now."

Echo stared as she looked around and curled up, maybe that's why she was trapped on the Nemesis, Megatron was stupid and scared her. He was giving her lustful looks and touching her in places she didn't want to be touched.
