*(Y/N) POV, 5 kilometers from Plantation 13, Heliconia's cockpit*

After the morning briefing, we got sent to the south, intercepting a dog like Moho-class Klaxosaur. As Genista cuts its leg, Heliconia focuses on its hinds. Delphi meanwhile jumps onto it, as Argentea drops, stabbing its torso. Meanwhile, Chlorophytum blasts off its second front leg. Delphinium stabs her weapon into its neck, making it open its mouth and expose its core.

Delphinium: "Finish it off, Strelizia!" Heliconia huffs and whispers to herself.

Heliconia: "We're here too" she pouts, making me laugh a little at her fit. Meanwhile, white and red FranXX get ready to finish the job

Hiro: "Right!" But just then, Argentea lands next to Lizia, as Zorome gets more confident.

Zorome: "Sit back and relax, Hiro!" Both Hiro and Delphinium look surprised.

Hiro/Delphinium: "Huh?!"

Zorome: "It's my time to shine!" Heliconia facepalms, while I sigh.

(Y/N): "Being too confident will kill him and Miku one day..."

Heliconia: "He needs some humbling"

Zorome: "Gotcha now!"

Argentea meanwhile rushed the core. She stabbed her claws into it, and it shatters into a lot of tiny pieces. Klaxosaur emits a final shriek and falls lifelessly.

(Y/N): "Okay, I don't believe I will say this, but... Good job you two"

Zorome: "Thanks! See that? Piece of cake!" While he boasts, Argentea tries to get off.

Argentea: "S-Stop showing off and get us out of..." she gets cut off by a stream of thick, blue Klaxosaur's blood coming right at her.

Heliconia: "Hahaha!" she laughs, as the stream continues to leak "Miku, haha, you two, you two alright? Haha,"

Argentea: "Bulbh bulbh..." soon, the blood stopped and Argentea stood there, covered from her head down to her feet in blue goo. By the looks of it, Miku isn't a fan of it "Why, you..."

I laugh a little at them, and not letting the conflict grow, I intervene

(Y/N): "Okay. Hahaha! Okay, I'm sorry Miku" I snicker "Let's get back, guys. I don't know about you, but I'm starving" Heliconia starts walking back, with each FranXX of Squad 13 following her.

Futoshi: "Yeah, me too!"

Heliconia: "You can shout at him later, Miku. Come on" Soon we get back to our Plantation. The shower above Argentea turns on, washing her from the blood. I and Ryuko leave Heliconia's cockpit and loot at Zorome and Miku arguing. The rest of our squad looks at them too, intruded of another drama involving those two.

Zorome: "Can we drop this already? I apologized, didn't I?"

Miku: "You did? Do you think that was an apology? Your heart wasn't in it at all!" Hiro then walked out of Strelizia

Zorome: "Oh? And how can you be so sure it wasn't? Can you read my mind? Can you?"

Miku: "Apologize right now!"

Zorome: "Over my dead body!"

Miku: "Grr! I'm gonna kill you! Ryuko, can you lend me your weapon again?!"

Zorome: "Not fair! (Y/N), throw me your weapon, I know you have one too. Come on, pal!"

I and Ryuko shake our heads, not letting them kill each other

(Y/N): "There is no way I or Ryuko will give them to you two. You two would just kill each other"

Then, Nana comes to our position, instantly stopping the war between Argentea's pilots

Nana: "Kids, we need to talk. I bring good news" We followed her to the briefing room. "Tomorrow, all of you are to dress in your formal attire and gather in front of the boarding house at 0900 hours. Ryuko, (Y/N), you two need to wear it too. You got that?" I and Ryuko nod to her as we stand back with team Strelizia.

Futoshi: "Formal?"

Ichigo: "We are going somewhere, Nana?" Nana nods at the girl, with a smile.

Nana: "Yes. We're going to the City" this got Squad 13 excited.

Squad 13: "The City?"

Nana: "A ceremony will be held at Plantation Parliament HQ. Papa values what you've done so far and is awarding each of you a medal"

Futoshi: "M-Medals?"

Zorome: "What are those?" I get to the red-haired caretaker.

(Y/N): "Nana, can I?" the older woman nods and I turn to them, "Medal is a thing you give to soldiers for their service. It's supposed to show gratitude and boost the morale of a squad"

Ichigo: "Really, Nana?" Nana nodded.

Goro: "Wait, does that mean..." Futoshi turns to Zorome.

Futoshi: "W-We did it, Zorome! Aren't you glad?"

Zorome: "Huh? What are you talking about?"

Miku: "You idiot. This means we'll be allowed into the city!" Zorome gets surprised. He opens his mouth, not believing, and looks at Nana, who confirms it with a smile. He then emits a weird cheering noise, as his partner covers her ears and I chuckle at his behavior.

Zorome: "Hooray!"

Miku: "My ears! Quit yelling!"

Zorome: "How can I not?"

Goro: "He must be really happy"

Futoshi: "As he should be. This is what he's been working toward"

(Y/N): "I still don't understand why he is so excited. It's just a couple of buildings with people living in contamination" They look at me.

Futoshi: "What do you mean, (Y/N)?"

(Y/N): "After adults get a shot of the immortality serum, their immune system weakens. That means they need to live in sterile conditions, or they will get sick and die. Even simple flu can kill them. That means, we will be only allowed in the Parliament building"

Ikuno: "That makes sense. Our job as Parasites requires us to be outside the plantation. If we were to meet any adult, they could get seriously sick" I walk back to Zero, Hiro, and Ryuko. The pink-haired girl tries to walk out.

Zero Two: "This is boring. You two are coming with me, (Y/N), Ryuko?" she gets to the doors, as I and Ryuko question her sudden change.

'What happened to her?'

(Y/N): "What's with her, hon?" I lean toward my partner.

Ryuko: "I don't know. She started behaving weirdly since we get back from our mission today" I turn to Hiro

(Y/N): "Hiro, maybe you know something. Is Zero bothered by something?" The boy shakes his head.

Hiro: "No. I don't know anything like you guys" I sigh.

Nana: "Wait, Zero Two" Zero stopped at the door frame

Zero Two: "What is it?"

Nana: "This is convenient timing. I'll arrange for you to undergo tests while we're there"

Zero Two: "I hate those tests. I always feel lousy after I take them" She turns around to look at the caretaker "Besides, I'm in great shape right now" with that she left the room. Nina sighs.

Nana: "Here I thought she'd grown more obedient since she teamed up with certain someone" I look at her

(Y/N): "I will try to speak with her later, Nana. Don't worry" I and Ryuko left the room too.

*Time skip, next morning, 0700 hours (7 AM)*

I wake up first, and I look down at my roommates still asleep. Quietly jumping down and tip-toeing my way to the wardrobe. I get to it, take out my formal outfit, and talk with Neko

(Y/N): "You have a free day today, Neko" I smile at the outfit "Have fun" Neko however, whines a little

Neko: "(Y/N), are you cheating on me?" I get surprised and look at my Kamui

(Y/N): "W-What are you talking about, Neko?" I chuckle, "How can I cheat on you?"

Neko: "Are you wearing other clothes beside me?" Her green and pink eyes look into mine, drilling holes.

(Y/N): "Except for my nightwear and that formal uniform I wore before the kissing operation with Plantation 26, no" Neko gets some tears in her eyes

'How?'

Neko: "S-So you have! I can't believe you (Y/N)! You will throw me away!" she sniffles. I try to calm her down.

(Y/N): "Shhh. No, Neko, I will not throw you away. I promised it to you" I smile at the living piece of clothing "You win, Neko. Can you transform into this?" I show her my formal uniform.

Neko: "Yup!" I put her on, and she changed her appearance to a black formal uniform.

(Y/N): "You feel better, Neko?"

Neko: "Yhm!"

(Y/N): "You know, sometimes you're acting like a total tsundere" I chuckle "What next, you will be jealous of Ryuko?"

Neko: "I. Will. Not! Ryuko is your soon-to-be wife!" I chuckle again.

(Y/N): "Have it your way, Nekketsu. Now, go into silent mode for a while. I need to wake up those two" I walk up to Hiro and shake his shoulder, trying to wake him up "Hiro, wake up, we need to get ready" I look at my communicator, checking the time "It's 7:30 already" Hiro slaps my hand awake and tugs himself into the sheets.

Hiro: "Five more minutes..." he mumbled, I sigh

(Y/N): "Man, you're leaving me no choice" I grab his ankle and drag him out of the bed. He lands on his ass and looks at me.

Hiro: "Okay, I'm up! Stop dragging me (Y/N)!" I free him and point my thumb at the doors.

(Y/N): "Go get ready, Hiro. I will wake up Goro" Hiro chuckles.

Hiro: "Good luck. He's a heavy sleeper" to confirm it, Goro emits a snore. Hiro gets up, grabs his essentials, and walks out of the room, while I get to Goro

(Y/N): "Goro, wake up you lazy bum" I try shaking him, but he sleeptalks

Goro: "Yes, Ichigo, I will..." he snores again

(Y/N): "Ichigo?" I look at him and smirk, "That's an idea" I get some Life Fibers from my fingers, and command them to shape like our leader. An ability I learned not so long ago when Miku wanted to talk with me about why Zorome is the worst of the boys, and I for sure won't spend my time on girly gossip. Anyway, I commend the clone to lean over Goro, looking like it would kiss him. He sensed someone and opened his eyes. He shoots up in surprise.

Goro: "I-Ichigo!" he blushes madly, while I bend in laughter, as I absorb the clone back

(Y/N): "Oh my God, your face! Hahahaha! I can't- I can't!" I wheeze, while Goro looks at me, getting angry at me.

Goro: "(Y/N)! What was that? What did you do?!" I calm down a little.

(Y/N): "Remember-Haha, Remember those ropes I used to tie Zero Two down a while ago?" Goro nods, "I-It's the same thing. I learned it a week ago. Basically, a Life Fiber clone" Goro looks at me dumbfounded now

Goro: "But why would you do it now?"

(Y/N): "Because you needed to wake up. And now that I know you got a thing for Ichigo, I couldn't help myself but make it look like she was gonna kiss you" I start snickering again.

Goro: "You're an asshole sometimes, (Y/N)" I nod

(Y/N): "I am. But that's why I'm fun to be around. Go join Hiro. I will wait with the rest near the entrance" Goro got his stuff and went to join Hiro, while I walk down, spotting almost all of Squad 13 in their outfits. Zorome was leaning on the railings, not a speck of dust on his uniform.

Futoshi: "He spent all morning checking himself out in the mirror"

Mitsuru: "I don't understand how you don't get bored with that"

Zorome: "Say what?"

Kokoro: "But you look better than usual"

Zorome: "Right? Right?" I make myself visible and greet them.

(Y/N): "Hey, guys. You all look good. Ready to see the City?" I ask while they look at my outfit, "What? It's dirty?" I look around, checking for any stains.

Kokoro: "No, this isn't it (Y/N). You look good in your uniform too" I smile.

(Y/N): "Thanks, Kokoro"

Zorome: "It looks different from ours" I look at him

(Y/N): "Zorome, as an elite unit, I and Ryuko got different formal uniforms than you. As you see, that's mine, Ryuko has an outfit similar to Zero Two"

Futoshi: "By the way, you two usually dress differently than we"

Ichigo: "Where do you even get those clothes you usually wear?"

(Y/N): "We got them in one of the abandoned cities. It feels a lot better than wearing a uniform." I lied, they don't need to know our clothes are alive and can change into any outfit, just yet "Speaking about Ryuko, where's she?"

Ichigo: "Oh. She had to find something. She'll be here-" Ryuko cut her out with a click of her heels.

Ryuko: "Good morning, everyone! Who's ready?" she walks to me. I notice a small change in her clothes, as Senketsu's small eyes are present on the sides of her tie

(Y/N): "Okay, the only ones missing are Hiro and Goro, but they should-" Those cut get down too

Hiro: "Sorry we're late"

(Y/N): "Okay, now we just need to wait for Nana and Ha-" Caretaker and the Commander enter through the main doors

'Damn, I should bet on horse racing. I'm some type of fortune-teller?'

Nana: "Good morning. Everyone here?" I count heads.

(Y/N): "Everyone's here and ready, Nana. We can go" The caretaker nods, and we follow her and Hachi. Soon we're in one of the corridors going to the elevator for the city. I, Ryuko, Nana, and Hachi pass by the security gate, while Squad 13 stops in front of it.

Nana: "Come on. Hurry up" Zorome goes first, with a battle cry he jumps into it, nearly falling down the floor if I didn't catch his hand and help him up.

(Y/N): "You don't want your uniform to be all dirty, do you, Zorome?" I smirk at the blonde, as he smiles at me in return.

Zorome: "Right. Thanks (Y/N)" Soon, we boarded the elevator, only to get into some tram-like vehicle going through the City. While Squad 13 looks at it with amazement, team Heliconia and team Strelizia stand back.

'Nothing's happening in this city, its streets are empty, it's just hollow buildings and emotionless people. Nothing like Tokyo, Osaka, or even Honno Town' I look at the central core as it emits an orange glow 'This place makes me want to vomit. I hate it'.

Ryuko: "I hate the City" I look at her

(Y/N): "So that makes us two"

Zero Two: "Three. It's just like empty shells, lifeless" I look at her, trying to cheer her up.

(Y/N): "If you only saw how Osaka looked before the whole crisis. It was a coastal city, Zero. You'd like it there"

Zero Two: "Whatever, (Y/N)"

'What's going on with her? She was so happy when they made Hiro her partner, and we know it's him who tried to break her out. What's on your mind, little cousin'

I look at the pink-haired girl. Meanwhile, our tram stopped, and we get in front of the Parliament building. We got inside and stood opposite Plantation's 13 leader at the other end of the room. He gets from his platform and gets in front of us. We stand in a row, Nana and Hachi at each end.

Leader: "You are the first children to ever be welcomed into the city, it is truly a great honor. Live up to this honor, and make even further contributions to the plantation"

'Yeah, so you and your pals can sit here and fart on the stools, while we risk our lives to get nothing in return. Soon, soon, it all will be over. Just wait' I smirk.

Leader grabs a medal from his assistant and pins it to Ichigo's cape

Leader: "You are the squadron leader?" he asks Ichigo

Ichigo: "Yes sir! I am Code 015!" she shouts, as I try not to break down in laughter.

'Man, I never saw Ichigo this nervous. I hope she calms down or I will-'.

Leader: "Your successes speak directly to your ability as a leader. Keep it up"

Ichigo: "Thank you very much! But I couldn't have done it alone! Everyone in the squad contributed!" She still yells. I couldn't help it and started laughing a little, same as Goro

The leader of the plantation starts walking down the line, stopping near everybody, thanking them for their service, and giving them a medal. He then stops in front of me and Ryuko.

Leader: "Thank you for your service, Reapers. We're honored such elite pilots decided to join Plantation 13 and protect it like it was their own" I and Ryuko nod at him, while he pins the medals to our capes.

Neko: "Ow!" she yelps. Leader meanwhile turns to Zero.

Leader: "It's also a great honor to host a former Nine" he looks at Hiro "And you've done well to live up to all the expectations placed upon you"

Hiro: "Th-Thank you very much" Leader proceeds to pin medals for team Strelizia, before getting to the remaining folks. He finished on Zorome

Leader: "Thank you for defending us, adults. Papa is overjoyed by what you've done. Your efforts have been splendid, too. Keep it up"

Zorome: "I-I will, sir! Thank you very much!" He extends his hand, but the man looks at it for a moment, before turning around and walking away. We walk out of the building, getting ready to get back up.

'Thank God it's over. I prefer the forest of the Bird Cage to this abomination of a city'.

Hachi: "Well, I'm going to visit R&D before I head back. Take care of the children" Nana nods.

Nana: "Got it"

Zorome: "What? That was it?"

Nana: "Well, yes"

Goro: "That was over too soon"

Futoshi: "I was expecting some kind of feast" Guys got disappointed it ended so soon, I on the other hand was happy. I want to leave this place to rot as fast as I could. Well... three girls had another idea

Ikuno: "Too bad"

Miku: "Hey, since we have the chance, why don't we walk back?"

Kokoro: "Agreed!"

Ichigo: 'It wasn't that far. We can walk, right, Nana?" she, as well as Miku and Kokoro, get in front of Nana and give the caretaker some type of sparkly puppy eyes.

'Poor Nana. Nobody stands a chance against three cute girls pleading for something'.

Nana: "Oh, all right. But stay close and don't wander off" Girls gasp, happy they succeed. We start walking back to the elevator, while Zorome wonders aloud.

Zorome: "What do you think it will be like when we get to live here as adults?" he asks all of us

'More like if than when. He'll learn soon'.

Ichigo: "I don't know. For some reason, I just don't see us becoming adults"

Futoshi: "Yeah, me too"

Mitsuru: "There's no evidence we will be able anyway"

'Cold and calculating as ever, Mitsuru. Good, the first one to understand, or at least be close to understanding' I smile

Zorome: "That's because you guys have no imagination. Ryuko and (Y/N) had a chance to become adults, so we have a chance too" I chuckle.

Ikuno: "And they refused"

Zorome: "They're stupid. Who would not want to live here?" I get near him.

(Y/N): "Zorome" he looks at me "You know why I and Ryuko refused?" he shakes his head "It's because, despite being here, you're not safe. There's a chance while we fight Klaxosaur, we can damage the plantation's walls, meaning outside air gets here. And then, if you're an adult, you die. You're chained here. This is not a paradise like you think it is"

Zorome: "Huh?"

(Y/N): "Paradise would be living outside the Plantation, breathing the air not filtered three times before it gets to your lungs. Paradise would be living free, without anyone telling you what to do, without anyone deciding for you. Sometimes, I wish Ryuko and I stayed out of Plantations and on the run. Don't get me wrong, all of you are fun to have around. But, who wouldn't want to wake up every single day to the sight of a beautiful beach, like the one we stayed at for vacations?" Squad 13 then starts mumbling, thinking about that.

Kokoro: "I'm sure it would be lovely, (Y/N). To wake up every day with that beautiful sight" she smiles.

'Seems like I have another one hooked, same with Futoshi and Ichigo.'

I get back to join team Strelizia and Ryuko. I get my hand and offer it to her. She accepts and we intertwine our fingers. As we walk, Hiro asks Zero.

Hiro: "Zero Two, you called this city lifeless before, remember? What did you mean by that?"

Zero Two: "Exactly what I said" she answers without any emotion. I look at her, as I have enough of her bullshit.

(Y/N): "Okay, Zero. What's wrong?"

Hiro: "Yeah, something's wrong, Zero Two?"

Ryuko: "We're worried about you, girl" Zero looks at us

Zero Two: "I'm fine. I just couldn't care less about this place" We stayed silent all the way up. We get back to the boarding house, where Nana thanked us again for our service. I, Hiro, and Goro get to our room, where we change, finally transforming Neko back to her hoodie and jeans configuration. Getting bored, I grabbed the guitar, which now hangs above my bunk, and get it on my back.

(Y/N): "I'm leaving for a little, guys"

Goro: "Where are you going?"

(Y/N): "To grab Ryuko. I want to spend some time with her, you know, a 'couple thing'" Goro nods and I leave, soon getting up to the girl's side and knock on the doors to the girl's room.

???: "One moment!" I hear Ichigo telling me, soon she opens up the door "(Y/N)? How can I help you?" I look at her and smile.

(Y/N): "Hey, Ichigo. Is Ryuko here?" Ichigo nods.

Ichigo: "Ryuko, (Y/N) wants to see you" Ryuko jumps down from her bed and gets to the doors

Ryuko: "Hey honey. What's up?"

(Y/N): "Hey, I was thinking if you want to spend some time with me. You up for it?" Ryuko nods.

Ryuko: "Sure thing, love. I have nothing to do otherwise" she smiles and leaves her room.

Ichigo: "Have fun you two" Ichigo sends us away

Ryuko: "We for sure will, Ichigo" she smirks, grabs my hand, and we walk out to the backyard. Ryuko meanwhile tells me about her revenge against Ichigo "I was like 'Hey, Ichigo?' and she looked at me with a 'Huh?' and then it hit her. A pillow straight to the face, followed by another one a moment later. We started throwing them at each other, oh my, we were giggling like silly schoolgirls. The best thing was when Ichigo hit Ikuno. Oh. My. God. She got furious. She destroyed us. Boy, she turned those pillows into bullets" She giggles

(Y/N): "Seems like you had a little girl's night?" Ryuko nods.

Ryuko: "Yes, we did. When we got tired, we just laid among the feathers on the floor and giggle and laugh like crazy. Ichigo proposed to get Miku and Kokoro for the next sleepover"

'It makes me happy, Ryuko finally has more friends than me, Mako and Koruno' I smile at the girl

(Y/N): "It looks like you, Ichigo, and Ikuno have a good relationship with each other" I smile at her

Ryuko: "Good? Ichigo and I are basically besties! I love the duo! Miku and Kokoro too. We gals got along pretty well" she looks at me, "What about you and the guys?"

(Y/N): "Hiro, Goro, and I have a good friendship. Zorome and Futoshi are goofballs, but we get along pretty well, despite what happened when we arrived here. And Mitsuru... he's, I will not lie, it's bad. He talked to me 5 times since we got here. And usually, it's to spite someone. Besides him, most of the guys treat me like an older brother"

Ryuko: "Mitsuru was closest to the truth, to be fair. You heard him" I nod.

(Y/N): "Futoshi and Ichigo are on a good course too. Hiro isn't a problem, same as Goro now. Toughest to crack will be Zorome" I smirk "But I have an idea to get to him"

Ryuko: "Hope you're alright. Well, another matter. Our little cousin, Zero Two" I sigh.

(Y/N): "Yeah, I know. I think it has something to do with her heritage as a Klaxosapien. We have to eventually talk with her later. Or it could get ugly" I sigh, "But I didn't take you out to dwell. I wanted to get out and do some couple things" Ryuko smirks.

Ryuko: "Well... I know one thing" she leans to me and we share a quick kiss. I look at her blue eyes.

(Y/N): "You know what. Just for being so adorable" I get the guitar from my back and start stringing "Every day and darkest night, I trust You at all times. I'm not afraid, for You are my refuge" Ryuko, knowing the song, joins me, as we look into each other eyes.

Ryuko/(Y/N): "And when I've got nothin' left, You're the place I find my rest. You are the only one that I run to. Yes, You are my refuge" we breathe in and out "You're my rest, You're my rock, You're my fortress. You're my strength, You're my shield and You're my defense. Nothing could ever take me from You. Nothing's ever gonna take me from You" we smile at each other, as I stop playing.

(Y/N): "Every day and darkest night..."

Ryuko: "I trust You at all times..."

Ryuko/(Y/N): "I'm not afraid, for You are my refuge" we get our faces closer again, and as our lips connect I looked around, spotting Squad 13 looking through the window at us. I wink at them and get back to Ryuko. We broke the kiss 30 seconds later, and I think a saliva string is still connecting us.

(Y/N): "Hehe. Love ya Ryuko" I smile at the girl and embrace her in a gentle hug "Forever and ever" Ryuko nestles into my hug, as she closes her eyes and smiles.

Ryuko: "Till the end of the world and one day longer" she giggles "And we had some audience"

(Y/N): "Goro must've told the guys I will play the guitar. I'm not surprised. They liked it back at the beach. So, honey, how about we get back home and take a nap on a proper sofa?" Ryuko nods, and we walk inside, Squad 13 waiting for us in the lounge. "Hey, what's going on?"

Ryuko: "I will let you all know, it's rude to spy on other people's private business" She scolds them "Good thing I and (Y/N) are not shy about our relationship, or you would make us uncomfortable. Let it be a lesson for the future" She looks around, as one boy is missing "Hey, where's Zorome?"

(Y/N): "He got lost in the city?"

Ikuno: "Most probably. He wasn't with you in the back, was he?" I shake my head.

(Y/N): "I thought he was still with you in the front" I sigh, "When will he learn?"

Miku: "I know, right!" she then looks at the instrument on my back, "Hey, (Y/N), can you teach us how to play it?" I smirk.

(Y/N): "Miku, it took me years to learn how to play. But I think we can teach you another thing" Ryuko smirks.

Ryuko: "Well, there is a thing you can do while there is a song. It's called dancing"

Futoshi: "Dancing?"

Miku: "What's that?" I smirk.

(Y/N): "Well, it's better to show you"

I and Ryuko get opposite of each other. Grabbing her extended hand in my own and intertwining it with mine, while my other hand gets on her hip. Ryuko gets her hand on the shoulder and I started to lead her around the room, humming the beat. We step a little to the left, and a little to the right. Like during a school dance in our middle school. I end it with a deep dip, as we look into each other eyes. I get her back on her feet, and we look at the rest.

Miku: "Wow, it was... amazing..."

(Y/N): "And it's only a basic slow dance. There is much more we can teach you" I and Ryuko sit down. Ichigo got a call and she leaves the room. She came back 30 seconds later.

Ichigo: "Nana called. They found Zorome, apparently" Everyone sigh in relief.

(Y/N): "He better pray I or Miku don't get to him first"

Miku: "That jerk... making us all worry. (Y/N), I got this" Ste stands up "I sentence him to clean the bath for one week!" I smirk.

(Y/N): "That will do. Ichigo?" I ask the blue-haired girl for her opinion.

Ichigo: "Good idea. That will teach him not to wander off by himself"

(Y/N): "If he argues it's not fair, tell him it's either that or I will make him run around the Bird Cage again" I cross my arms, as Miku looks at me

Miku: "Again?" she asks dumbfounded

(Y/N): "Once when they were ogling you girls back at our little war. The other week ago when he made Argentea stuck in the jellyfish Klaxosaur" I smirk.

*Time skip, late afternoon*

Ryuko and I sit in the lounge, her head lying on my lap while I play with her hair. A whistle comes from the bath, as Zorome does his deed. He returned under escort and accepted his punishment without a word. Miku passes us by and enters the bath, just to pester the blonde boy.

Miku: "Hey! Take this seriously!"

Zorome: "Huh?! What are you keeping watch for?!"

Miku: "You won't take this seriously unless I do, and you might get lost again"

Zorome: "Like I would get lost here!"

I and my partner look at each other. Ryuko sighs.

Ryuko: "And when I finally think those two will get along, they start arguing again"

(Y/N): "That's who they are. Maybe they will have Nonon-Uzu type of-" I get cut off by a loud splash, and then Miku's scream.

Miku: "Zorome, I will kill you!!!" Soon, Zorome rushes out of the bath, a broom still in hand. Hot on his back, Miku runs after him. Drenched to the bone. I and Ryuko look at them and laugh at their antics.

(Y/N): "Hahaha! Run, Zorome. Run!"

Ryuko: "Go get him, Miku! You got this! Hahaha!" Miku stops in front of us, water splashing from her hair and clothes.

Miku: "Ryuko, can I borrow your weapon, just for a second?" Ryuko looks at her, "Please?" she pled, using the same technique she and two other girls used on Nana. However, Ryuko is not so easily influenced

Ryuko: "You want to use these?" She grabs her bracelets and turns them into two blades. Miku's eyes sparkle, and she nods a few times, "Hmm. Nope" she shrinks her weapon back and puts them on her wrists.

Miku: "Pleaseee" I stand up and get to her

(Y/N): "Well... how about this, Miku" I get my hands on fire and hoover them around Miku, drying her up "Now, go get him, girl!" I cheer.

Miku: "Thanks (Y/N)" she turned around, "Zorome! You're so dead when I find you!" She went back on her hunt. Ryuko and I laugh and get back to our business. She leans her head on my shoulder, while I get mine atop hers. She sighs and smiles.

Ryuko: "I hope one day, they will get together. They would make a great pair" I chuckle.

(Y/N): "You know what they say, opposites attract. Nonon and Sanageyama are living examples" Ryuko smirks, and there is a spark in her eye.

Ryuko: "Maybe, they need a little push~" I sigh

(Y/N): "What will I do with you, you little devil" I smile at her. Ryuko gives me a toothy smile, beaming with happiness.

Ryuko: "You love me, and you know it, honeybun~" I turn to her, and we peck each other lips

(Y/N): "That I do, love. That I do" Ryuko leans her head on my shoulder once again and emits a quiet snore, "Huh? Ryu?"

Ryuko: "I can't hear you, I'm sleeping~" she sings sweetly. Deciding I will play along, I get my head back on hers.

(Y/N): "Well, I don't want to wake up my future wife" I can see she smiled, "See you later, Ryu. I love you"

Ryuko: "I love you too, Boo" We went to take a nap, which lasted until the next morning

'The hell tired us that much?'

Some filler chapter, as you know, episode 10 focuses mainly on Zorome getting his portion of character development. Next chapter should be much longer and more heated...
