A/N: Heyo guys! Another day, another chapter. Without further delay

Let's get started!

*(Y/N) POV*

After a few more hours of sleep, me and Goro are trying to speak Hiro out of riding with Zero

Goro: "Are you really going to fight?"

Hiro: "Yeah" he answered still looking out the window. Then he turned around and went out

Goro: "You complete fool."

(Y/N): "I know this is bad... but it was his decision Goro. I need to check something in Heliconia. It may help later" I winked and walked out to the elevator.

Soon after arriving in the hanger I was met with with some mechanics doing last time tune ups to our FranXX

Mechanic: "Hey, what are you doing here? Get back..." I cut him off

(Y/N): "Code 004. If you didn't know I have permission to be here whenever I like. Now, get me some radio receiver and transmitter. After that open up Strelitzia and Heliconia. I have to do something before the kissing"

Mechanic: "Whatever you say boss"

After my little chat I went to Strelitzia. I opened one of her diagnostic monitors and connected the transmitter to health monitor of both stamen and pistil. Next I went to Heliconia where I installed receiver. 

'I hope I can get Hiro some time'

After that I closed both FranXX and went back to the bird cage. Soon after that we were called. It's time to start the show

*timeskip*

Me and the boys of Squad 13 minus Hiro are walking toward hangar. 

Mitsuru: "We can't afford to be optimistic, given the difference in numbers"

Zorome: "Hey, don't go wimping on us now. We've got me, Zorome the Great, on our side"

Futoshi: "Zorome aside, we can count on Strelitzia this time. Not to mention Heliconia"

Zorome: "Anyway, we're not letting Squad 26 hog the glory"

As they were talking I slowed down to Goro

(Y/N): "I know you are still worrying about him. I'm worried too. If something goes down me and Ryuko will try to stop it"

Goro: "..."

Then the doors opened and the girls walked off. I walked over to Ryuko

(Y/N): "Took you long enough..."

Ryuko: "Bite me... Come on! We have a job to do!" and she dragged me to the hangar, leaving Ichigo and Goro behind. Soon he get near us but without Ichigo

(Y/N): "Where is our fearless leader?"

Goro: "Talking to Hiro... (Y/N), Ryuko, do you think he will do it?"

Ryuko: "Her stamens were trying to tame her. She always was tied up but with Hiro... Zero Two seems different when piloting, like she finally get a joy from life"

(Y/N): "To be honest I never saw such a wide smile on Strelitzia's face" then Ichigo finally get near us after Zero Two and Hiro walk next to us. She get a glazy eyes

Ryuko: "(Y/N) told you about love? Why are you doing this to yourself Ichigo?"

Ichigo: "I-I don't know!"

(Y/N): "'As a sibling'... just tell him, it will be easier for you later" I got slapped in the back of the head by Ryuko "Ow... why did you do this?"

Ryuko: "You think it is easy to confess? You should have know better"

(Y/N): "Right, you were getting there for what? A month back then until I disappeared?" she turned around with a pout

Ryuko: "Idiot..."

(Y/N): "But your idiot, remember"

Ryuko: "Whatever. But (Y/N) is right Ichigo, if you won't tell him it would only become worse. Sure, he may reject you but like saying says 'there is a plenty of fish in the sea'" She looked over at Goro "We should get going. The pipe won't defend itself, right"

Ichigo: "Wait! (Y/N), Ryuko, I want you two to keep Strelitzia off action for as long as possible. We will try it too."

(Y/N): "We will try, but no promises"

Ryuko: "We were planning to do this too" And with that me and Ryuko went to Heliconia

(Y/N): "I will put on Hiro's stats. If something goes south we will interfere"

Ryuko: "Right, right. So, maybe a little kiss for luck?"

(Y/N): "If you waHmpph" she just dragged me down and kissed me on the lips. Soon we were out of air

(Y/N): "You know, you are really impatient. You should at least let me finish"

Ryuko: "There is no fun it than" she smiled. After that we went on our positions and started up Heliconia

Computer: "Open force gate. Open force gate..."

*timeskip*

After setting up. Squad 13 took their place before Heliconia and Strelitzia. Further away we can see standard FranXX of Squad 26. Even further away we see a horde of klaxosaurs and one big cube with horns, going straight at us.

Hachi :"We have updated intel on the Klaxosaurs. Aside from the conrad class pack, we've also detected a large, tightly packed unit. It didn't match any ones we have on record, but we've deemed it a klaxosaur due to its independent movement and codenamed it Target Beta"

Futoshi: "It's huge!"

Zorome: "The heck is that thing?"

Argentea: "There's so many of the smaller ones, too"

Hachi: "Since we lack data on it, attacking it would be reckless. As such, proritize wiping out the conrad class pack once you engage. 090 will have field command"

090: "Understood"

Hachi: "It's time, All FranXX, commence operation. Strelitzia and Heliconia, you two stand where you are"

Heliconia: "Understood Hachi"

090: "Let's go, Squad 26"

Squad 26 engaged the klaxosaurs. They started to take them off one by one. I meanwhile looked at the monitor to check how is Hiro holding

(Y/N): "Pulse normal, Yellow Blood Cells level too. Thankfully we didn't get a shot of those. Thanks honey."

Heliconia: "I. Hate. Needles. No way in hell I was gonna allow them to do this"

(Y/N): "You trashed the whole lab... anyway, blood pressure is normal too. Brain activity in norms. So far no problems" I looked down to see four klaxosaurs get pass 090 and his team

090: "Take care of them, Squad 13. But be careful not to stray to far ahead. If you move around. If you move around haphazardly, you could affect our coordination, as well"

Zorome: "If you think we're hindrance, come out and say it! Damn it..."

Goro: "I never thought we'd be seen as such big liability"

Mitsuru: "It's truth. We're still green as hell. Squad 26 has to carry us in their arms, piggyback, you name it"

Heliconia: "Really Mitsuru? Sounds like you want to back off from this mission"

(Y/N): "Show some positivity. You are green, yes. But you have the time to learn" I radioed the rest and looked at Strelitzia

(Y/N): "Zero Two, everything is alright on your end?" 

Strelitzia: "Yup. But I kinda get bored"

Heliconia: "Zero, we are too, but we must guard this pipe."

We looked down to see Squad 13 handling those four conrads. Genista was thrown down but Delphininium got her back

(Y/N): "Well. They are not the same squad we met a month ago" Then an alarm sounded up "Shit, Hiro's heartbeat is skyrocketing" I looked at Strelitzia to see her deactivated. Zero Two was standing in front

Zero Two: "They are barely hanging in there. Man, I'm starting to get the itch. I wanna join the fight already" They continue to talk while I check what is going down on the battlefield

(Y/N): "Squad 13 may improved but still they are being pushed back"

Heliconia: "So, what do we..." She was cut off by Strelitzia boosters going off

(Y/N): "Fuck! Zero Two!"

Heliconia: "We need to bring her back here!" Heliconia's boosters started and we were soon right behind her "Scissor Scythe, Decapitation Mode!" We started impaling every klaxosaur nearby, trying to get to Strelitzia. Soon we get near her but her screen started to flicker

Heliconia: "Strelitzia, get back to the pipe! I looked down on the monitor to see Hiro's pulse is up to 174

'Shit, he will have a heart attack'

Strelitzia: "I knew you two will soon join me. So another bet?" she asked with a sly grin

(Y/N): "No Zero. We need..." I was cut off by Delphinium flying and killing klaxosaur behind us

Delphinium: "Get back, Strelitzia!"

Hiro: "It's fine, We can still go"

Strelitzia: "What about them" She pointed to Heliconia

Delphinium: "I asked commander to allow Heliconia down here! Get back to your post!"

Strelitzia: "So bossy"

(Y/N): "Ichigo, how is situation?"

Delphinium: "Genista had some problems. I asked Mitsuru and Ikuno to back her up." I looked to the right to see some klaxosaurs getting near them

(Y/N): "Ryuko, on your right!" Heliconia looked there. She get her scythe and threw it at the klaxsosaur nearby Chlorophytum. Then we rushed to help them. We got one klaxosaur by it's leg and punched it. Searching for a while we find it's core and crush it. We throw it's body aside and helped Ikuno and Mitsuru back to their feet

Heliconia: "We won't let anyone to get hurt. You okay Ikuno?"

Chlorophytum: "Yhm. Thanks you two"

(Y/N): "No problem" we walked over to the rest of our friend

Delphinium: "How exactly is it going to attack? It doesn't have any limbs"

(Y/N): "it still have it's mass and those horns..." 

Then squad 26 got their spears and electrocute Target Beta. It stopped and soon a second portion of electricity goes off. I looked at it and...

(Y/N): "Shit..."

Delphinium: "Something is wrong (Y/N)?"

(Y/N): "It's changing..." I was cut off by a screech "Fucking hell! What is this?!"

Heliconia: "Guys... look..." She pointed to now transformed klaxosaur. 

Delphinium: "Oh my..."

(Y/N): "You wanted some action Zorome, you got it now. This, dear Squad 13, is a gutenberg class" Then Squad 26 wanted to tie it down, only for klaxosaur to swipe them aside

Heliconia: "This is bad..."

090: "Crap... Everyone fall back!" 090 wanted to move but it seems he had some problems. I turned Heliconia's boosters and swiped him out of the way.

(Y/N): "God dammit 090! Check your fuel reserves more often!"

Heliconia: "Tea, you got the rest?" Argentea appeared next to us with two more standard FranXX in tow

Argentea: "Yup"

Zorome: "Quit spacing out!"

We put them down nearby

Zorome: "You owe me one, okay?" and Argentea get back to the fray. We wanted to follow but 090 stopped us

090: "Thank you..." Heliconia just nodded and we zoomed back. Then Hachi radioed us

Hachi: "All Squad 26 units fall back. Squad 13 will deal with the gutenberg class"

Chlorophytum: "Easier said than done"

Genista: "How are we suppose to stop something so massive?"

Heliconia: "Big or small, it's still klaxosaur..."

(Y/N): "We just need to get to the core and destroy it"

Mitsuru: "We must do that before it'll breach the wall"

Delphinium: "You three are right. We need to work together to kill it"

Zorome: "But how are we gonna get to the core?"

Futoshi: "We can do this if we link up with Strelitzia"

Argentea: "We still have Heliconia..."

Heliconia: "Our scythe won't get as deep as Strelitzia's spear" she then opened our private link "(Y/N), how is Hiro?"

(Y/N): "Pulse 166, temperature 36.8C. He seemed calm so we can try for final hit"

Heliconia: "Roger"

Argentea: "So that's our only choice"

Zorome: "It doesn't matter how we do it. We gotta show them that our squad can handle things ourselves!"

Hiro: "Got it. You can count on me"

Delphinium: "Wait. Stay where you are, Strelitzia"

Zorome: "Huh?"

(Y/N): "Trust your leader Zorome. We need to tire this thing up before Strelitzia can get final hit, right Ichigo?"

Delphinium: "T-That's right"

Zorome: "We can't do it without them!"

Goro: "Calm down Zorome. As Ryuko said, only Strelitzia's spear can reach that massive thing's core. We have to create opening for her. That's what you two meant, Ichigo? (Y/N)?"

(Y/N): "Yup"

Delphinium: "Oh, y-yeah"

Goro: "Let's show them what we're made of"

Zorome: "O-Okay, that makes sense"

Heliconia: "You got it Hiro?"

Hiro: "Yes. We will get the final blow"

Delphinium: "Argentea with us and to the right. Heliconia, Genista and Chlorophytum to the left. Squad 13, move out!"

We moved out and started to climb each leg. Well, climbing was a bad word for us. We just flew up while slashing at this thing leg. Heliconia looked down to see Genista slipping down. We flew next to her and grabbed one of her arm while Chlorophytum grab the other one. We help her up

Chlorophytum: "We must set things up for Strelitzia, no matter what"

Mitsuru: "I know, I know!"

I looked at the monitor again to see Hiro's body temperature going up to 38C.

'We need to hurry...'

Everyone took their weapons and started slashing and cutting at klaxosaur's legs. With final cut from Heliconia to the back of his knee it fall back over

Delphinium: "Hiro!"

Heliconia: "Zero Two!"

(Y/N) and Goro: "NOW!" I looked up to see Strelitzia rocketing downwards with her spear pointing right at Target Beta's chest

Hiro: "I'm gonna finish this in one blow!" Strelitzia hit the target and soon sunk downwards "Get in there!" She detonated her spear, making klaxosaur jump a little. Every FranXX from our squad was thrown out of it. After me and Ryuko get on our footing we saw that klaxosaur was moving

(Y/N): "Fucking hell! We didn't kill it!"

Then a giant fist appeared and punched Strelitzia nearby the pipe. After Strelitzia get on her legs, klaxosaur transformed into some type of pneumatic hammer

Delphinium: "Hiro!" I looked at Strelitzia to see her display is full of X's

(Y/N): "Ryuko... we ran out of time..." I looked at Hiro's stats to see some pulse and then a flat line

Heliconia: "Oh for fuck... dammit, dammit, dammit!"

Delpinium: "Run! Hiro!" she screamed from nearby. Then this hammer's back get a fricking rockets. It punched Strelitzia, sending her flying to the pipe. She doesn't move for a while and then turns to her stampede mode

Heliconia: "No..." Then this klaxosaur started to walk towards the pipe "Zero Two! Run away from there!" but it was too late, before she could move, it punched the pipe, making Strelitzia even more stuck

Goro: "Hiro! Zero Two! Come in!"

(Y/N): "Goro..."

Goro: "Shut up! They are alive! Hey, Hiro!" Heliconia walked over to Delphinium, who is on her knees

Heliconia: "Ichigo, calm down!" But soon her faceplate get dark

(Y/N): "Ichigo..."

Ichigo: "Hiro..." we can hear her talk in the radio "Hiro's dead!" I served my and Ryuko's connection and turned off the radio

Ryuko: "(Y/N), what are you doing?"

(Y/N): "I don't want to hear her crying... It was already hard for me..."

Zorome: "Hey, Hiro! What are you doing?!" he shouted 

(Y/N): "Ryuko, let's get back..."

Ryuko: "Yhm..." We connected back and rushed towards Target Beta

(Y/N): "Everyone get near us. There is still hope! We need to kill it before it will be too late"

Chlorophytum: "He is right. First we need to take this thing out. But how?"

Heliconia: "Genista, Chlorophytum you two will need to aim your shots at it's right leg and also you will need to watch over Delphinium until Ichigo get herself together. Argentea, you are coming with us. Slash the back of it's knee, it's the weakest point. Understood?"

Everyone: "Roger"

(Y/N): "I'm proud my little Blueberry is taking some strategics from me. In Honnouji you mostly slashed blindly at your enemy and now look"

Heliconia: "Playing some real time strategy does that to you" she smiled "Like when I beat you in Heats of Iron..."

(Y/N): "It was one time thing, you got nuke before me..."

Heliconia: "Sore loser..." We got our scythe and started slashing at the klaxosaur. Then I heard a beep, and another one. Soon it get into the rhythm

I looked at the monitor to see Hiro's pulse returned 

(Y/N): Hiro... you stubborn son of a bitch..." I spoke shocked then I heard radio going off and Zero Two spoke

Zero Two: "Why, you... You are nothing but a monster! You took him from me! Ahhh!"

Heliconia: "You said something about Hiro, (Y/N)?"

(Y/N): "His vitals returned to normal. He is to stubborn to die..."

Heliconia: "So he did it... he defeated the rumors..." We slashed one last time at klaxosaur's leg only for it to tilt to the side. Then a blinding light went off and Strelitzia turned to her human form

(Y/N): "He did it... Ryuko he did it hahaha!"

Heliconia: "Hahaha! Yes!" Klaxosaur went for one more punch, but it's hammer then started twisting  and breaking. Soon after that the klaxosaur was flipped to it's back

Heliconia and (Y/N): "Hiro! Zero Two!"

Goro: "Hiro... He is still alive!"

Delphinium: "Hiro..."

(Y/N): "Yeah... he proved rumors false..." 

Then I heard someone on the radio from the commanding office

???: "Oh?"

Nana: "Doctor?"

(Y/N): "Hey there old timer! Glad you liked the show!"

Dr. Franxx: "No way I will let pass an occasion to see new type of klaxosaur"

(Y/N): "You and your hobby..." I turned to the klaxosaur

Chlorophytum: "It's changing forms again!"

(Y/N): "It's trying to regenerate. We need to stop it now!"

Delphinium: "He is alive..." Heliconia walked over to her

Heliconia: "Yes he is Ichigo. Now, let's move!"

Delphinium: "Huh? Yeah, right" We get our boosters on and rushed the Klaxosaur

Chlorophytum: "This is our chance!"

Futoshi: "It's our turn now!"

Zorome: "Let's help them out!"

Goro: "Create another opening for Strelitzia!"

(Y/N): "On it! Ryuko!"

Heliconia: "Right. Scissor Scythe, Full Power!" we flew up and landed on it's chest. We started slashing and burning any piece of it's flash and soon we exposed the core "Ichigo, core is exposed!"

Delphinium: "Roger. Hiro! Zero Two!"

Strelitzia: "Let's fly!"

Hiro: "Yeah!" 

Strelitzia: "With our wings!"

Hiro: "With our wings!" We took our scythe out off the way and soon Strelitzia went inside klaxosaur. It jumped up and me and Ryuko flew out of it. Then a light erupted from the klaxosaur

(Y/N): "So this is it..."

Heliconia: "Their wings... it's so cool..." Light wings flopped once, twice and soon got back into the klaxosaur as it explodes in the blue mist. I looked at horizon to see rising sun. Then I took the radio

(Y/N): "Commander. Target Beta is neutralized. No more klaxosaurs in perimeter. We won" 

I then served our connection and opened the faceplate of Heliconia. Ryuko get next to me and we walk down using Heliconia's arm. We join the rest of Squad 13 looking at Strelitzia. Soon from there exited Hiro and Zero Two who was leaning on his shoulder. Everyone was shocked, happy, while me and Ryuko were smiling like the idiots in our usual fashion.  Hiro and Zero Two walked down and everyone ran towards them

Zorome: "You idiot. You know how worried we were!" then Ichigo looked at them with teary eyes and soon she pouted. Throwing herself into Hiro's chest and crying. He just petted her head. Then Squad 26 walked over to us. Me and Ryuko walked over to 090

090: "You know, when I heard we were gonna deal with a fresh squad I thought it would be worse. It's like you said 004, you should not underestimate anyone"

Ryuko: "Glad you think so. And sorry for threatening you. We didn't meant to"

(Y/N): "Yup"

090: "Oh no, I was acting like an asshole back there" He offered me a handshake "Let put it behind us, we parasites need to stick together" I shake his hand and looked back. Everyone was chatting and having fun. I looked at Hiro, who is somehow without Ichigo

(Y/N): "Hiro, you just made the rumors fake. Congratulations" I patted his back

Hiro: "Thanks. And before you say anything, the tumor is gone and I feel great"

(Y/N): "I will check on you tomorrow. But if you are lying..."

Hiro: "I'm not, really"

(Y/N): "Well, thanks for taking care of Zero Two. It's good to see her safe and sound"

Hiro: "I should be thanking you (Y/N). Since you and Ryuko arrived to our Plantation you made my eyes open on my feelings."

(Y/N): "That what friends are for"

Ryuko: "You guys are having good time?" she walked over to me and Hiro

(Y/N): "Yup Blueberry" She then went and pecked my lips "What was that for?"

Ryuko: "Can't I just come and kiss you? You are not fun honey" I looked at Hiro, as he was slightly shocked

Hiro: "You two know what a kiss is?"

Ryuko: "Yup"

(Y/N): "Absolutely" Hiro then smiled

Hiro: "It's good to see I'm not alone in this"

(Y/N): "You still have a long way man. Now if you excuse us" We started walking to Zero who is standing alone. "Hey, Ichigo! Hiro is here!"

Ichigo: "Thanks!" and she want back to hugging him

Hiro: "Traitor!" he shouted while I just smirked. We get near our pink haired friend. She was looking at Strelitzia thinking

Zero Two: "I have to kill more and more klaxosaurs" We put our hand on her shoulders

(Y/N): "And we will be with you until it's done, right Ryuko"

Ryuko: "Right, we gave you our word and let it be our end..."

(Y/N): "We will keep it"

Zero Two: "You two..." she turned around with a smile "I couldn't had better friends" She hugged us. Meanwhile I looked up to see a platform with a specific FranXX known everywhere

(Y/N): "Ryuko, look up!" she did as I said and then sighed

Ryuko: "Great, the assholes are here..."
