I was actually looking after some stuff on my laptop. One thing I wanted to check is Heliconia's stampede. I got to 'FranXX' folder and clicked 'Heliconia' before my eyes stood every info about her

I clicked it and soon before my eyes stood blueprints with description of every part in Heliconia. On the bottom I noticed a photo labeled 'Heliconia Thanatos' It shows our FranXX in some type of black robe with hood on her head. Her face was not visible, although her eyes are glowing red

(Y/N): "Hmm. Seems like uncle designed this mode while thinking about 'Crimson Reaper'... heh, good old times" then Zero Two entered the room and started searching for something

(Y/N): "Good morning Zero. How are you..." I paused, seeing how she get the books and throw them on the floor

Zero Two: "I knew it. No picture books"

(Y/N): "Zero Two... What are you looking for?" She turned to me and I can see her horns got longer and her fangs are showing on

'She really is letting her klaxosaur side get better of her'

Zero Two: "Nothing important, friend"

(Y/N): "And you trashed the whole study. Getting angry won't help"

Zero Two: "He survived the third ride. It's him and I'll not be rejected"

(Y/N): "Zero, me and Ryuko are worried. Your horns got bigger and your fangs are showing. You are becoming the very thing we swore to kill in order to get him back. Come sit down, we will talk. And if you want I can still use my power to unlock..." she cut me off

Zero Two: "Why can't he remember me?!" she shouts and throw some more books on the floor. Her eyes turned red. I inhaled and exhaled thinking how to deal with her without doing too much damage

(Y/N): "Zero... please, you are not the same girl me and Ryuko met half a year ago. We will get him back, one way or another" she ignored me and turned around, exiting the study

Zero Two: "I know what I have to do"

'Shit... total catastrophe happening before my very eyes. Don't do anything stupid, Zero Two...'

I returned to my laptop to check other things

'Oh, Delphinium's stampede is a wolf... and Heliconia's is what... a black puma...?'

*timeskip, Lab inside the Garden*

After my little research, Nana ordered everyone to wear winter clothes and get outside. After a small walk we entered the Lab.

Miku: "I saw the Lab every day from afar, but I'd never gone inside before"

Kokoro: "Very, very few children actually got to come here, right?"

Futoshi: "I think Hiro came here a few times"

Hiro: "Yeah. I was a designated special research subject back then"

Zorome: "Peh. Damn teacher's pet"

(Y/N): "Jealous much?"

Futoshi: "And Mitsuru, too, I guess"

Hiro: "What? Mitsuru, too?" then Nana and Hachi turned to us

Nana: "Listen up. The reason we're here is to run tests on you all. I'm sorry to say that this won't be a homecoming. you are hereby banned from entering the Garden"

Ichigo: "Tests?"

Goro: "What tests would need us to come here, of all places?"

Hiro: "I'm pretty sure we're just tagging along" we looked at zero, who is biting her nails nervously

Hachi: "Code 002, you in particular will undergo thorough testing"

Zero Two: "I can't be bothered"

Nana: "This is an order. We can't put it off any longer"

(Y/N): "Zero. Don't worry. We will wait..." I was cut off by a small blonde shitstain

Alpha: "Oh, hey!"

Ryuko: "Just kill me already..." she murmured

(Y/N): "What do you want now, Alpha?"

Alpha: "I just want to say hello, Omega. It's nice to see you, Psi and Iota again"

(Y/N): "Yeah, right..." He walked over to us

Alpha: "Fancy running into you three here. What a coincidence" He stopped "Or not. You are here for maintenance, too, right?" Zero just walked off without a word "Glad to see she haven't changed"

Kokoro: "Who is that?"

Miku: "Beats me. but he's kinda hot" Nines walked over to us

Nana: "These are the Nines, a special force unit APE directly controls" Alpha bowed

Alpha: "Pleased to meet you. It seems you are in the same squad as Iota, Psi and Omega, right?"

(Y/N): "We are here, douchbag"

Alpha: "Please escort Iota to you know where safe and sound"

Ichigo: "You know where?"

Alpha: "Surely you know where all the plantations on this continent are currently headed" Ichigo looked at Nana

Nana: "I'll fill you in later"

Alpha: "Anyway... I'm relived to see them three fitting in with you guys"

Hiro: "Iota? You mean Zero Two?"

Goro: "And who are Psi and Omega?"

Alpha: "That's right, code 016. She used to be one of us Nines. As for Psi and Omega, they are codes 006 and 004. They were supposed to join Nines but Doctor decided otherwise. What a shame"

(Y/N): "Weight your words you little prick..."

Alpha: "Don't need to be aggressive, Omega" He turned to Hiro "I thought Iota would be too much for an ordinary squad to handle, so I was surprised. How did you manage to tame her?"

Hiro: "Tame?"

Ryuko: "That's enough Alpha. Don't you have something else to do than bothering us?" 

Ichigo: "Zero Two, Ryuko and (Y/N) are one of us"

Alpha: "Wow, she must've taken a real liking to you. The only humans she was friendly towards are 004 and 006, but they are not humans either, right?"

(Y/N): "Listen here you little..." I went to punch him but Ichigo stopped me

Ichigo: "Calm down (Y/N)" she turned to Alpha " I see the 'special forces' haven't been taught basic etiquette. I fully realize now that I'd much rather fight with Zero Two and Reapers than you guys" Alpha laughed

Alpha: "I see, I see. You are a bit different from the parasites in other squads, huh?" He walked in front of Ichigo "So that's why these three are with you" he went to kiss Ichigo's wrist, but I shot a single Life Fiber to get his hand from her

(Y/N): "Hand off from our squad leader Alpha!"

Ryuko: "Last warning, try that again..."

(Y/N): "And you will be walking out in a body bag"

Alpha: "You and your barbaric ways Omega. Very well"

Nana: "It's time to go, kids" we started walking out, but I can hear Alpha from behind

Alpha: "I've developed an interest in you guys, too. I'd love to be part of your squad sometime"

Ichigo: "Sadly, we only have space in the attic. It would't befit elites like you. But if that's okay, you are welcome any time" She walked over to us

(Y/N): "Motherfucker..." 

Ryuko: "At least you told him Ichigo..."

Ichigo: "I just stood up for my friends" she smiled at us and we return it

*small timeskip* 

Naturally, me and Ryuko didn't have any tests. After everyone get to their room we stayed with Nana

Nana: "Ryuko, (Y/N), someone important is waiting for you two"

(Y/N): "Let me guess, uncle Werner?"

Nana: "Not only him" She smiled. We followed her and soon we were before big oak doors "I need to see how are the others doing. Have fun" with that she walked off and we opened the doors. Room was dim and in there stood two figures beside uncle's desk. Doctor pressed the button and then steel curtain get down on walls of the room, soundproofing it

Dr.FranXX: "Welcome, my nephew, my niece in law. How are the thing going with Squad 13?"

(Y/N): "Pretty smooth. If I can ask, who are they?"

???: "Really bro, you don't recognize me?" he stepped from the shadows to reveal

(Y/N): "Koruno?! Oh my so that must be..."

???: "Indeed (L/N)"

Ryuko: "Sis!" She went and hug Satsuki

(Y/N): "Oh my, that was a surprise, okay. How have you two been?"

Koruno: "Bored..." uncle hit him in the side with his cane "Ouch, Mr. Frank, there was no need"

Dr.FranXX: "You said saving the world was boring. What do I do with you, Koruno?" he sighed

Satsuki: "Anyway, how are you two? Did you get any injuries? How are you holding up with job? Did you two get along with your squad?" he went full older sister mode

Ryuko: "Sis, calm down. We are fine, same as Heliconia. We didn't, and if we did we would heal right away. I mean, hello, alien parasite inside our bodies. We are second in the ranking with 112 kills, right after Strelitzia. As for Squad 13, we all are like a family there. Ichigo, our leader, wanted us to be her right hand in command and we accepted"

(Y/N): "So don't worry Satsuki. We are fine. Stage one is still in motion, until Hiro get his memories back. After that we will move to stage two"

Dr.FranXX: "Speaking of codes 002 and 016, how is it?"

(Y/N): "To be honest? Bad. She started to act coldly towards everyone, even me and Ryuko"

Dr.FranXX: "Maybe I should intervene... You know that geezers started to move it's operation to Gran Crevasse?"

(Y/N): "Alpha mentioned something that every plantation is moving towards there"

Satsuki: "If they open it, and get Zero Two there, it will be our doom..."

Koruno: "That's why we wanted to contact with Klaxosaur Princess..."

(Y/N) and Ryuko: "Princess?!"

(Y/N): "And what are the chances that she will agree to help our case?"

Dr.FranXX: "Low, but not zero. We will try after stage two is complete. Hachi and Nana will be informed too"

Satsuki: "It was nice seeing you two" She went and hugged Ryuko "Be careful little sister"

Ryuko: "I will" Satsuki then walked over to me 

Satsuki: "Keep her safe (Y/N). I will not forgive you if something happens to her"

(Y/N): "I would not forgive myself first, you know it Sats" she smiled and turned to Koruno

Satsuki: "Koruno, get here and say something too"

Koruno: "Right. See you later, sis, bro. Be safe out there"

Dr.FranXX: "We will all see each other soon enough. (Y/N), Ryuko, when time comes, contact Nana and Hachi. They will give you further instructions"

(Y/N): "Right. See you Sats, Koru. Later uncle. Thank Inumuta for the laptop from me

Ryuko: "We will miss you all"

Satsuki: "Don't. We will meet again sooner or later" With that uncle get the curtains up and we walked back to testing area. We spotted Hiro looking like he was thinking about something

(Y/N): "You finished Hiro?"

Hiro: "Huh? Yeah. Where were you two?"

Ryuko: "We met with Doctor. He wanted to check on us personally"

When Goro walked out

Goro: "I'm done. You were right. They only ran the simplest of test on us"

Hiro: "I'm thinking of going to the Garden"

Goro: "What? We're forbidden from going there"

Hiro: "I want to let Naomi know I found a partner"

(Y/N): "Hiro... You know that there is a chance she is in Replacement Division?"

Hiro: "I need to see in the Garden first"

Ryuko: "Okay. But we are going with you"

Goro: "Right. We won't let you get in trouble alone"

(Y/N): "Damn straight" with that we stood up. Goro and Hiro went to change and we meet with the rest of squad. Right now we are walking through the halls of the Garden. Hiro stopped and turned around

Hiro: "You all really didn't have to come along"

Zorome: "It wouldn't be fair if you got to sneak out by yourself"

Miku: "Yeah. And we're here now anyway, so we might as well"

(Y/N): "One for All and All for One Hiro. We cannot let you go alone"

We continue to observe kids playing, eating, reading books. Then Ikuno went in the room I was with Hiro and Goro

Ikuno: "Come with me" we followed her and what I saw made my stomach turn around

'They are programming their minds... those lifeless eyes... This is not a training, this is violation of human rights.' I clenched my fist, than I looked at Ryuko, she was girding her teeth

Zorome: "I-Is that how we used to be?"

Futoshi: "I-I don't think so"

(Y/N): "You guys got it easier. These kids here are getting ready to be emotionless killing machines"

Ryuko: "You are Dr.FranXX test squad, like me and (Y/N), so you were treated differently" then a garden operator with a cart full of injections passed by

Goro: "That was the same type of injection as the ones we were administered"

Kokoro: "They are starting to give parasite injections to kids so young?"

Operator: "Yeah. We've started injecting more concentrated doses of yellow blood cells than before. The klaxosaurs have grown more active lately, you know? So the system's being retooled to produce more capable and obedient parasites. Also... You're the parasites of Squad 13, yes? I'm pretty sure you aren't allowed in here"

Hiro: "Um, has a girl from Plantation 13 named Naomi... Code 703 been back here?"

Operator: "Code 703? No. Once a parasite leaves this place, they never return"

With that they threw us out the Garden

Zorome: "Aw, we were thrown out"

Miku: "Where'd Naomi go, then?"

(Y/N): "Like we said you guys, it's either Replacement Division or death. Sorry, but it's true"

Ryuko: "There is still a chance your friend is alive. There are two more Gardens to check" we continue to walk, but then Hiro asks to go withouth him. We walk for another five minutes until we arrived back to the Lab

Goro: "Why would Hiro ask us to head back before him?"

(Y/N): "Maybe he wanted to check Replacement Division? Who knows?"

Ryuko: "That Naomi... she was supposed to be Hiro's partner?"

Goro: "Yes... He is worried about her. We all are. I hope what you said Ryuko is true" Then Kokoro stopped

Kokoro: "Where do you think we came from?"

Zorome: "Huh?"

Miku: "Where'd that come from? Papa and the rest made us, obviously"

'What did they told them...?'

Kokoro: "Is that really true?"

Zorome: "You are being kinda weird. Kokoro" Ryuko then went and whispered something to me

Ryuko: "Kokoro seems to know where do children come from" I whispered back

(Y/N): "Seems so... and if not then it still good they started questioning Papa. It will be easier for us later. Keep your eye on her" Ryuko nodded and then Nana stormed out of the Lab

Nana: "You kids!"

(Y/N): "We are in trouble"

Nana: "In serious ones (Y/N)"

*timeskip*

After our lecture of how "We should follow orders" and "Being disappointed in me and Ryuko we let them do it, despite being the oldest here" we prepared to leave the lab and return to Plantation 13. Me and Ryuko looked back to see Ichigo get stopped by Alpha. 

(Y/N): "Should we?"

Ryuko: "We don't have time for this shrimp" 

We entered the plantation and went on our usual walk around Mistilteinn's forest. 

Ryuko: "It's so pretty when it snows"

(Y/N): "It's prettier with such a lovely lady right beside me" she blushed 

Ryuko: "Smooth talker..."

(Y/N): "Oh you blushed. It always works. A small compliment and your cheeks get rosy"

Ryuko: "Shut up..."

(Y/N): "Eh, you love me and you know it"

Ryuko: "I can't believe we are fiances..."

(Y/N): "I would never replace you for any other girl Ryuko, you know it?"

Ryuko: "Yeah, I would never replace you too. I love you for everything you are, even if you are an asshole sometimes"

(Y/N): "And you are sometimes too stubborn"

Ryuko: "Asshole"

(Y/N): "Jerk"

Ryuko: "Idiot"

(Y/N): "Dunce" after that we laughed "Oh man. Anyway, it's late and it's getting colder. We should go to bed" With that we walked back to the boarding house. After saying our goodnight we walked to our rooms.

*next day*

I was lying on my bed. With my laptop on my stomach

'Hmm, so that's what lies beneath Delphinium's hat' 

After that I heard an alarm. I put my laptop down and sprinted to the elevator. I changed by the a way and entered the briefing room

Hachi: "Five Moho class Klaxosaurs has been detected on course with the Garden. You are to eliminate them" We walked out and soon boarded our FranXX. Heliconia walked out right after Strelitzia. We see her jumping off the cliff and taking flight. 

Heliconia: "Zero Two! Wait!" We quickly followed her

(Y/N): "Ryuko, I think Zero lost it..."

Heliconia: "Damn it..."

(Y/N): "We need to stop her. She will kill Hiro and then we are fucked"

Heliconia: "Righ... oh my..." We arrived near Strelitzia. She already killed one of this horse like klaxosaur

'She is fighting without thinking. Zero Two, you idiot...'

Delphinium: "Strelitzia, follow the plan!"

Hiro: "You're being too direct.

Strelitzia: "Oh, shut up. I'll kill them all! Isn't that enough?" Then Heliconia appeared in the cockpit

Heliconia: "We lost her (Y/N)... We need to think about the rest now" Meanwhile Strelitzia get hit into the air by one of klaxosaurs. She quickly recovered and crushed it under her weight

Chlorophytum: "More incoming!" Me and Ryuko are meanwhile fighting two of these horses. We were about to impale one on Heliconia's scythe, but Strelitzia get near us and kill it before we could do anything

Strelitzia: "I'll pulverize them all together" she said with a terrifying smile on her face

Hiro: "Listen to me! Zero Two!" Then Strelitzia take the second horse impaled on Heliconia's scythe, throw it on the ground and started hitting it repeatedly with her spear

Strelitzia: "Damn monsters. Take this. And this. Damn you! Damn you! I'm going to kill you all, and become human" she said with that crazy look on here face. Thankfully before Zero do something else, Strelitzia's fuel ended

'Oh thank god it's over'

Argentea: "That was kinda scary"

Delphinium: "Y-Yeah" Heliconia's took her scythe and put it on her back

(Y/N): "Okay. Go ahead. Ichigo, we will meet at briefing room"

Delphinium: "O-Okay" with that they walked back to the Plantation, while we get Strelitzia on Heliconia's back and drag her back to her place inside hangar

'Sometimes I think we are some type of towing service for FranXX'

*small timeskip*

After our return, me, Ryuko and Ichigo are walking back to briefing room, to give Nana and Hachi our reports. We are about to enter but we overheard them talking.

Hachi: "Detailed testing has shown, that Code 002's saurification has accelerated since they became partners. Code 016's numbers are close to the upper limit, too. If this keeps up, he might undergo a genetic transformation"

Nana: "You mean he could no longer be called human?"

Hachi: "That's excatly what I mean" me and Ryuko looked at Ichigo. She got her head down, with her hair covering her eyes. She was sobbing softly

Ryuko: "Ichigo..." she went to put a hand on her shoulder, but Ichigo ran away.

(Y/N): "Dammit... Now I know what she meant by 'I know what I have to do' "

Ryuko: "He is becoming like her. And he don't even know"

(Y/N): "I'm torn apart. In a one way we know Hiro is her darling, and from other we have Ichigo, who is worried about her childhood friend and crush. Damn it all, it's hard to be an adult and have kids to watch over"

Nana: "It sure is (Y/N)" she and Hachi went to us

(Y/N): "You knew we were here?"

Hachi: "Yes. We heard Code 015's sobs"

Nana: "She is not taking it well?"

Ryuko: "It's not as bad as with Futoshi and Kokoro, but still..."

(Y/N): "Ryuko, try to comfort her tonight. If you excuse us, Nana, Hachi. Oh and here is the report" I passed Nana the papers

Nana: "Thanks (Y/N). You two are dismissed" We returned to Mistilteinn, and after a small walk we arrived back to the boarding house. We saw Ichigo getting up the stairs

Ryuko: "I got this" And she walked after her. I started walking up. But before I can enter my room I heard a glass shattering from girl's side. I quickly walked up the stairs and hear Zero's screams

Zero Two: "Don't reflect me!"

Ryuko: "(Y/N)! Help!" I sprinted there to see Ryuko holding Zero Two's arms and Ichigo sitting near the wall, looking scared

(Y/N): "What the hell happened here?!"

Ryuko: "Zero lost it! She wanted to attack Ichigo but I quickly get her out of the way!"

(Y/N): "You alright?"

Ryuko: "Yeah. Now, get your little trick and tie her!" I did as she said, but before I could Zero slashed deeply at my chest. Soon enough she was tied and was roaring in anger

Ichigo: "(Y/N)! Are you alright?! I better call Nana..." I cut her off

(Y/N): "No need, see" She looked at my chest to see orange fibers jumping inside the wound, closing it

Ichigo: "What...? How...?"

Ryuko: "The same way we got our powers. Being a Life Fiber hybrid have it's perks"

Ichigo: "Wait... does that mean...?"

(Y/N): "We can't be killed. You could cut off our arms and legs and they would just reattach"

Ryuko: "Ichigo, let's go to our room. I will tell you everything. (Y/N), get Zero back to hers"

(Y/N): "Okay" I grabbed Zero Two and put her on my shoulder "Zero, why would you do that?"

Zero Two: "..."

(Y/N): "We know what are you doing to Hiro. Do you think making him a hybrid like you would make him remember you?"

Zero Two: "..."

(Y/N): "Okay little sis, you don't want to talk then don't. Go to sleep" I put her down, untied her and she walked to her room without any word. I catch a glimpse of the inside and her room was full of scratch marks on the walls. I walked back to my room, get on my bed and opened my laptop

'come on, come on, where it is... survival, not it could be useful later... ah saurification... blah blah blah, genetic changes... blah blah blah can be dangerous for both parties. Shit..." I put my laptop aside and go to sleep

*next morning*

After breakfast and some time alone to do my notes I heard alarm. After quick briefing, Squad 13 get to the place. Strelitzia again rushed without us. Soon she must get into defensive position. Heliconia, Delphinium and Argentea get in front of her and throw aside some of the klaxosaur attaching her

Delphinium: "Strelitzia!" Strelitzia stood up and pushed Argentea aside. Heliconia caught her

Strelitzia: "Outta my way!" She rushed the rest of klaxosaurs "I'll kill many, many more and become human!"

Hiro: "You're wrong, Zero Two! You can't become human that way! What's driving your obsession?" Then I remembered something

*flashback*

Zero Two: "They told me if I kill enough, they will return him to me. That's why I'm fighting"

*end of flashback*

'It's because of what Papa and this stupid council told her! I will murder them one by one! Judgement day will come soon...'

Then Strelitzia falls to her knees

Strelitzia: "Don't. Don't tie me down. Just quietly be devoured like the fodder you are!" after that Strelitzia transformed and metal lion stood before us.

(Y/N): "FUCK! ZERO TWO, DON'T!" I looked down on the floor "He is your darling from before..."
