Chapter 1-Battle with the locker

I quickly made my way to hel-cough school. Anxiety slowly suffocating me with every step. Breathe I told myself, taking gradual shaky breaths. In and out. I couldn't stop myself from taking a glance at my surroundings, especially if at any second I could-no, don't think like that. Bad Lilith. I silently scolded myself.

I found myself in front of the entrance to the school. I gulped before pushing the plastic glass door open, revealing a long, relatively empty hallway. As I strutted through, the marble floor went tip, tap with every step I took. I could feel the cold gaze of my peers boring into my back as I walked past, their whispers circling my head "look it's the loner", "she's so creepy".

I couldn't take it any longer, dread was creeping up my spine giving me the jitters. I feel like I could break down at any second. My eyes glistening from the tears that threatened to form, I shook my head and kept walking.

As I turned the corner to the next hallway, however I saw a pair of green eyes meet my silver ones.

Once I navigated my way through the seemingly endless maze of halls, I had arrived at my destination. I confronted my locker door, and the future challenge it held to force it open.

Eyes narrowed to slits, fingers outstretched, I reached out and.........fumbled with the bright red lock until it gave a satisfying 'click'. Unclasping then removing the lock, my soft, pale hand gently caressed it, before swiftly tucking it inside my jean pocket.

I tugged the dull metal door open. Enabling me access to the neat array of textbooks, and writing utensils. I shrugged my rough, black bag off my shoulders, then quietly slipped it inside my locker. I then proceeded to slam the door shut.

Once more I trudged through the maze of halls as I made my way to the classroom. I went through the same routine, ignore the obvious stares and whispers of the other kids, get to class on time.
