Jake's POV

Trina steps out from behind the bar and she walks over to me. "Where's Katie? She normally comes down here ten minutes before closing to help me out and she's not here yet."

I rise from the table. "I'll get her. She was reading a book when I last saw her."

Trina picks up the glasses and place them on the tray. "She better be here before Tank arrives. You know how he gets if he doesn't see Katie."

I climb the stair two at time to the second floor. Walking down the hall I see a few guys standing around. "Has she been out of her room?"

Slim shakes his head. "She's been in there all night."

Opening the door to her room I see the bed made and a few clothes are thrown across the room. There's make up and jewellery scattered on her table.

She snuck out.

I go through some of her things and I a see a Diary sitting on her desk. Opening to the page that a string on it I see writing. "MICHELLE, MYSTERY BAR TONIGHT."

Katie, what have you gotten yourself into.

I put my phone up to my ear. "Can I get a trace on a mobile phone." I give the number to guy and I hear taping on the other end.

"Okay, she's at the Viper Bar."

Fuck! She's in trouble if they catch her there.

I throw my phone against the wall and it shatters.

Slim walks into the room with the prospects. "What's wrong, Vice President?"

"Princess, she's gone." I look around the room. "She went out with Michelle. Apparently she's at the Viper Bar."

Slim closes the door. "Shit," he looks around. "How are we going to tell the President his daughter is gone?"

"He's gone for two weeks. There's no way to reach him and tell him about Katie. I just don't find out who she is. If they do I will declare war with them."

Slim slaps my back. "I'll be right there with you."

The bedroom door opens. "Katie?" Tank looks at me. "Where is she VP?"

"She gone to to the Viper bar."

Tank hits the wall and his hand goes through the gyprock dry wall smashing it away. "She better come home safe or some people are going to die." He walks out of the room.

I need to get that wall fixed.

Headlights come up the driveway and I see a car come to a stop. Someone climbs out of the car and moves over to passenger side door, opening it and pushing someone out. They jump back into the car and speed away.

I look at the ground and see long brown hair and a black dress on a someone.

Katie.

I kick open the fire exit door and I don't hear the alarm going off.

The alarm should have gone off by now.

That's how Katie got out without us hearing or seeing her.

I run down the stairs and over to the girl. I turn her over and see a messed up face.

Her face is swollen and her eyes are shut. Her knuckles are bruised.

"Katie?"

Tank walks over to us and he looks at her. "Don't move her, Cutthroat. We don't know the extent of her injuries. If you move her without checking her over you can puncture something inside her body. You should call, Rayner. She'll know what to do."

I turn towards him. "If I call her she'll have my balls for her letting her cousin get hurt."

A car races up the driveway and stops in front of us.

No, need to call her. Someone else did.

I look towards the. At and I see Trina with a smile on her face.

She called her. I'm going to have to talk to Trina about calling people without my knowledge. Tank's not going to like me talking to his old lady, but she needs to know that she can't call Rayner all the time.

I know the girls are Best Friends and they talk all the time.

Rayner kneels next to Katie and she checks her over. She looks at me. "She has broken ribs. Which is going to be painful for her for a few days, a cut above the eye. Which I need to stitch up and the rest of her are bruises." She places a hand on my shoulder. "She put up a good fight, Cutthroat." She rises. "Where was she's when this happened? I know she wasn't hurt here."

"Viper Bar." Iron Fist says, walking over to her. "I think she, might have been drugged. Princess, always puts up a bigger fight than she did." He looks at her. "I don't know why we all call her Princess. When she's definitely not one of those. I'd call her 'Fighter.' When you knock her down she gets right back up and she fights."

I rise and look at the men outside with me. "Tomorrow, we will be sending Viper a message. You mess with none of us. You mess with all of us. Princess, is one of us and we protect what's ours. Leave Michelle to Trina or Rayner. I'm sure they want to have a turn at the slut."

Trina walks out of the bar and stands next to Rayner. "Hell, yeah, I do." She looks at Rayner. "We should double team her."

"Agreed," Rayner looks at her cousin. "Take her to her bedroom. Make sure she's comfy." She orders.

I lift her into my arms and carry her up the fire emergency stairs.

Tank opens the door for me and I enter the building. He opens the bedroom door and moves things off her bed before I place Katie on it.

She doesn't move and that makes me worried.

I run over to the window. "Rayner, is she alive?"

"Yes," she yells back. "I'll be right up to check on her again if you're worried."

"Thank you."

She kisses Iron Fist before running up to the room.

I pull the desk chair over to the bed and I sit. I look at the bed where Katie's sleeping.

Rayner walks into the room and she checks Katie's pulse. A smile spreads across her face and she turns towards me. "She's breathing, Cutthroat." She drops her cousins hand and moves towards me. She places and hand on my shoulder. "You care about my cousin don't you?"

I nod.

"You should tell her that when she wakes up." She looks at the wall. "You should fix that wall. Katie, won't be too happy if she wakes to that hole."

"I'll get it sorted."

The door to the bedroom, opens and closes and I'm left in the room alone with Katie.

Her head starts to move side to side.

I reach over and take her hand in mine. "Katie, you're safe now. I promise you that I will get that back for what they did and you're friend Michelle will pay also. I know she was behind you getting attacked tonight. I think she had it planned for awhile. Be Katie's best friend, and then when she got your trust it was off to the Vipers you go."
