bread in a deep freezer ?

You simply can't bake bread in a deep freezer

It just doesn't seem to rise

And the house doesn't fill with that wonderful smell

Now is that really any surprise

The texture stays kind of doughy

When you cut that first slice

It more or less sinks in the middle

And really sticks to the knife

The fresh butter doesn't melt right away

Rather, it seems to harden more and more

And just try to spread that homemade raspberry jam

Really becomes quite an irritating chore

My family was not really that impressed

Matter of fact they turned away

Not one of them took a single bite

After me slaving in the kitchen all day

So no bread baking in the deep freezer

I was silly to think I could

From now on, only conventional methods

When I prepare my food
