Annika had accompanied shivaay to the Airport .Seated silently both were reminiscing their moments  during their previous birthdays .The truth that it wasn't going to be the same this year ,gave them a heavy heart.Soon annika realized their state and tried to divert him.

A- hey shivaay,don't forget to bring chocolates for me ok(encircled her elbows into his's)

But she didn't get any reply from him.

A- I'm going shivaay ,bye(standing up)

S- what happened paanika ?

A- then ?what do you expect me to do ,have this(she forwarded a parchment)bye(she left from there)

Shivaay smiled looking at the paper as he knew what it would be.She had the practice of writing a small messaged letter if she's not able to converse .

This method of her's actually started when she was in 4th std in school ,when once she wrote a letter and flew it as a rocket into shivaay's class as she couldn't go inside during his classes.

He chuckled seeing her warning to read the letter only when he had boarded his flight.And he actually obeyed her,he viewed the letter at once he settled in his flight.

Shivaay,first remove the idiotic sad frown from your face.(he smiled)Even I'm feeling sad for not being able to be with you on our birthday,but am I crying like you, duffer("hey I ain't crying haan,"he argued).Keep your mobile charged fully,I don't want any excuses later .Call me sharply at 12 am ,I won't call you .You should be the first one to wish me .One more important thing,Don't you dare forget my chocolates,bye !

S- pagal paanika (he whispered audible only to him)

Shivaay reached London ,the next day was fully packed with his work.But still he messaged her ,whenever he had time .

At night ,their day was too close.It was nearly 11.55 am.Shivaay had already reached the terrace of his hotel and stayed checking his mobile each second to push the clock to reach 12 am.And suddenly ge was baffled to see that the total place becoming it seemed to be a power failure throughout the hotel.Soon something caught his attention,when his eyes reflected something which was sparkling. And there it was, few laterns floating through the sky .

Before he could sort out the event happening in front of his eyes ,he captured something still surprising to him.

Fireworks bloomed continuously,and one of them even mentioned a wish of birthday brewing up his curiosity to know the person behind all this.

He stood confused ,knowing nothing about the event before his eyes.He turned back when he heard a noise ,and instantly, there rose a arched tunnel finished with lights  .

He could actually figure out a person approaching through the path,and it mostly seemed to be a woman from far.
When the person reached near him ,he was stunned for a second. It was Mrinali standing in front of him with a excited smile plastered on her face.

(Sorry 😔😔 many of you  would have expected  annika here)

S- Mrin...mrinali(still in shock)

M- Happy birthday Shivaay (she forwarded and hugged him)

This was entirely happening at 12 am.

S- thank you mrinali,but is this all your work (he asked being surprised)

M- ofcourse shivaay,did you like it ?

S- how would anyone even  not like this .I'm still in the shock,how did you manage to do this mrinali?

M- actually one thing was very tough ,It took mostly 3 hrs to convince the hotel manager.

S - oh my God,I still can't believe it's you who was behind all this ,thank you so much mrinali .It was extremely an impulsive surprise,like power off the fireworks and all.I feel so special now.Everything  was too good ,thank you.But what would you have done ,if I wasn't here at the terrace?

M- Simple,I would have dialled a prank call and make you reach here somehow.

S- you are unbelievable.

M- hey I have something for you wait,(she picked something from her bag)

It was a ring,she forwarded to get his hand but soon she reversed back.

M- shivaay,I'm really sorry .I shouldn't be asking this to you now but I couldn't find any other perfect moment than this soo...

S- so? What mrinali?

Without answering him she went down on  her knees taking his hands confusing him.

M- shivaay,I love you...(after pausing for 2 to 5seconds )will you marry me?(she asked with the ring on her other hand)

This whole scene was being witnessed by a person who stood at the doorway of the terrace.Yes, annika had actually come to surprise him.But something called fortune played differently.Her plan was to be there  in front of him when he calls her at 12 am to bring him an heart attack out of surprise,but what happened? The man has already forgotten about wishing her.

She completed all her work ,hurriedly to reach here as soon as possible.This plan of her's popped the very next second she came to know that he wouldn't be with her on her birthday,it was just that she didn't disclose it to him.She was even wearing the dress which he  had selected.

But when she found mrinali with shivaay,she couldn't stand there anymore .Soon she left the place with a heavy heart which was screaming something to her,"He has forgotten "maybe.

It has been soo long since shivaay was dialling to annika,but no .It answered the same stating"the subscriber your calling is currently switched off"every time.

S -(thinks)she must be angry.

No,she wasn't angry to be very certain. That feeling  was something....something which gave no answers to her questions  .She was indeed a close friend of him but does it give a choice to become insecure knowing that someone  out there,exists  partitioning her rights on him? Was she jealous?She could find no answers for her questions,so finally with a heart luggaged with many new clueless feelings she boarded her flight back home.
