D- maa told me that you accepted the alliance,but will you accept me? I think that's what which matters.

A- (after a long pause)tayyar hoon mein (she wasn't very audible)

D- (smiling)annika, tayyar aur haan mein bahut fark hota hai .It's ok I understand,I'll give you some time .They have arranged our engagement tomorrow until then you have time to take your decision .

In shivaay's office

S- (in call )deal cancel huwa tho ,you will be fired.Did you get that ?I don't know what your going to do but ,I need the deal signed within today .

Raging out on his PA ,he cut the call and the next minute the phone went into pieces getting hit on the wall.The reason for his anger wasn't the deal ,he knew very well how to sort the problem .But what about his heart screaming to stop annika's marriage .Pushing him to stop her from leaving him and ordering him to hold on to her throughout life. The thought that she had accepted to make a life without him did no good to him as he had already finished his half bottle of champagne trying to divert his mind from her but poor he didn't realize it wasn't possible as it was just all about her which was flooding throughout his heart now.Taking a frame which had the pic of them he just stared at it which automatically took him through his days with her .

S - paanika ...kya kardiya tumne yaar ,tera idiot... ko chodke... jaaogi ?(his voice shivered indicating his brimming tears)How can you do this annika ?Won't you miss me ?How can you not ,when I'm dying her fearing not to loose you. Mat jao na yaar (he held the frame close to his heart and let out his tears)

It was already past 11 PM but still shivaay haven't returned yet worried for which annika waited for him leaning on the doorstep.

A- where did this idiot go ?Ok ,I am at fault and now I want to apologise. But if he comes only I can ask sorry na (she complained to herself )Kahan ho tum pagal (she spoke gritting her teeth )

But the whole night he didn't come .It was morning 7am when pinky was trying to wake up annika who had slept seated near the doorstep.

A- aunty ,didn't shivaay come yet?

P- nahi annika ,I called his PA and he informed that they had some important work so shivaay couldn't come home yesterday .Aa jayega vo ,go and fresh up.Aur haan ,shaam ko jaldi aana .Tera din hai aaj(caressing her cheecks )

A- ji aunty .

(Shivaay had ordered his PA to tell this to pinky)

Pinky went from there.

A- lagtha hai bahut gusse mei hai vo idiot .I have to do something

She asked two hours permission in her office and went to visit shivaay .Moving out from the lift she eagerly forwarded towards his cabin to be stopped by a staff stating that he had instructed not to allow anyone inside until he says .

A- it's ok ,I'm his friend .I'll manage

Staff- but mam ...

A- don't worry, I'll see to it .

Saying which she slowly pushed the door inwards and peeped in to scan throughout the room. Not finding him on his chair she went inside ,and looked around and stood baffled to find him to be asleep leaning on the couch which was placed round the corner of the room .

A- abhi tak so raha hai ye bandha, (she spoke being surprised)

Then something caught her attention bringing out her nerves ,it was an empty champagne bottle which was rolling on the table .

A- pagal,pi ke rakha hai ye? (shocked )

Feeling his face flourished with chill water ,he opened his eyes to witness her standing straight infront with an empty jug .She seemed to be angry ,which was clearly visible through her face .

S- paanika ! (he shouted )

A- so you were doing this work all night haan ?(angrily)

S- someone told not to speak with them (he imitated while wiping his face )

A- is that your problem now ? I came to apologise to you genuinely but I don't think I must do it now .From when did you start drinking ?Don't you know that it's unsafe ?(she started beating him )

S- ahh ,ahhhh...paanika ...did you come here to beat me ahh ...it's paining ahh ..(he winced)

After giving a nice dose of punches ,she left her hold and sat beside him on the floor .

A- what's your problem shivaay ?why are you doing like this ?

S- teri vaja se (he murmured)

A- kya ?

S- nothing.

A- your ignoring me deliberately na ?teek hai ,fine .Let me see ,kab tak chalega ye sab.(she stood up)Go home soon ,aunty will get worried.

S- where are you leaving? wait I'll drop you.

A- no ,it's fine.My two hours permission is over, I've to leave now .

Then she immediately left the room leaving the banging sound of the door which told him that she was really disturbed.

S- I'm sorry annika ,I myself am unaware of what's going on and why I'm behaving like this . After knowing that your going to leave me ,I can't act normal .It's impossible for me to hide my pain ,what will I do now annika? Kuch bhi seh saktha hoon mein but ye ...bahut dard de raha hai .When it's about you, mein bahut hi selfish ho jatha hoon ...bahut possessive ho jatha hoon .I don't want to loose you annika ,yes kona nahi chahthi hoon mein tuje (nodding negatively)

It was exactly noon when pinky received a call from an hospital stating that they have admitted annika there as she was been hit by a car when she was riding her scooty .Pinky who was horrified on hearing the news immediately dialled for shivaay who had just left to his office but it wasn't reachable. Thinking not to waste more time she hurriedly rushed to the hospital.

Hospital

Checking with the receptionist she ran to the place mentioned being extremely scared as the person who informed about annika's accident didn't mention about her status .

P- Dr ,Dr...meri bachi kaisi hai (she spoke with tears dropping from her eyes )

Dr- relax ,She's totally fine. Fortunately she had worn helmet ,so there's nothing serious ...just a minor fracture in her right leg.Don't worry,

P- can I meet her now?

Dr- yes .(he left )

Pinky entered the ward ,to find annika lying with her leg dressed throughout .

A- aunty...(in a weak voice)

P- annika ,how are you feeling now beta ?(placing her palm on annika's face )

A- I'm fine aunty ,don't cry.

P- ye accident kaise huwa?

A- this wasn't an accident aunty .

P - matlab?(shocked )

A- vo ,it was pre planned .

P- what are you saying annika ?

A- mein nahi ,usne bola ...(taking a deep breath )he warned me not to mess with his boss,not to write anything against him ,before hitting the car on me .Ye media sector hai hi aise ...

P- police se complain karthe hain .

A- there's no need for it aunty.

P- kyun ?

A- have you informed shivaay about this ?

P- his mobile was unreachable but I informed this to his PA .

A- shivaay would have known by now ,that's enough .He will see to it .(she said confidently)

At the same pinky received a call from Dev's family, approaching for the discussion of today's function. But pinky explained the situation and told them that in this condition annika wasn't ready for the engagement .They also agreed for postponing the function .

After sometime .

Dev arrived at the hospital to see annika .They both were having a light conversation when shivaay hurried inside the room.

S - annika ,(he ran and stood beside her )

A- hmm,finally !! You have come to see me .Ab ignore nahi karoge muje ?(she argued )

S- shut up (instantly he pulled her in a tight hug )teek ho na tum ?

A- I'm fine (chuckling )vo kaise hai ,jisne meri accident karvaya ?

S- (pulling back )he is admitted here only ,per thod diya meine uski (he spoke with full rage )

That's when shivaay noticed Dev who was giving weird expressions listening to the duo's conversations.

A - ohh I'm sorry ,Dev ...he is shivaay my best friend (she stressed the word )

D- hai shivaay ,I'm Dev ...aapka best friend ki fiance (forwarding his hand )

His words did no good with shivaay ,as the very moment he realized that it was the person who was going to separate his annika from him .With all this in mind he shaked hands with him....or it must be stated that he crushed his hand with a smirky grin on his face.

S - I'm shivaay ,annika's friend.

Dev who could actually feel his knuckles being crushed immediately pulled out his hand .

D- strong grip, I must say (to which shivaay smirked ).You both are childhood friends right?

Before annika could answer shivaay spoke.

S- Sirf childhood friends nahi hai Mr.Dev, we grew up together throughout life ,or I must say ki our friendship started from the day she was born .Haina paanika?( his voice seemed dominative, saying this he sat beside her )

While Dev nodded with a smile but somewhere he could feel shivaay's possessiveness for her. He didn't take it seriously as any friend would actually react like that.

D- teek hai annika ,I'll take a leave then.

A- dev ,Your family must have prepared for the function na .I'm sorry ..(interrupted)

D- annika ...it's ok.It happens, koi baath nahi .Nothing's more important than your health now ,so take rest and get well soon (he said this holding her hand )

The very instant shivaay saw this ,he didn't know from where he reacted but he did.

S- yeah!yes!,your absolutely right Mr.Dev (pulling his hands from her's and shaking hands with him fastly)Her health is more important .Yes...

The other two who were witnessing this just gave wierd looks to shivaay as he was still shaking hands with Dev .

D- ok then ,Bye

S- bye bye!

A- shivaay haath chodo uska (she whispered)

S- ohh I'm sorry ,(he left his hand )

Dev left .

A- you don't like him right?(she asked with a smile)

S- why ?If I agree will you break the alliance ?

A- I will accept it happily (she said sarcastically while giggling to which he glared)

S- vo sab chodo ,kaise ho tum ?(he asked being concerned while cupping her face )

A- how many times will you ask me ?

S- until I get satisfied that you are fine .

A- and when will you get satisfied ?( she asked innocently)

S- when I feel you are alright .

A- dono ek hi baath hena? Idiot irritate mat karo muje (she warned )

S- pata nahi kyun ,but irritating you is my favourite hobby (emphasizing the word )

She acted as though she heard nothing and closed her eyes pretending to sleep.

S- oi nautanki ,enough haan .I know you very well .(he was speaking while preparing the mosambi juice )

While annika was looking at it through the corner of her eyes and she had mentally preapred herself to have a nice gulp of it .But to her surprise ,he took the glass near her and at once he started drinking it .Anyone in that situation would have thought that it was made for them ,not annika's fault though .Poor she could only pass an angry glare for his silly act .At the same time pinky arrived and immediately annika started complaining to her.

A- aunty dekiye na aapki beta kya kar raha hai ?I'm the patient here and he's drinking all my juice. (She complained like a small kid

S- is it written as Annika somewhere on the fruit ?nahi na ,then?(he teased )

A- tum ...(interrupted)

P- acha fine ,stop this fight .Annika ,I'll prepare another glass for you .( she spoke being fed up with them )If I leave you both together for one second, you will bring the roof down. Shivaay ...tum neeche chalo ,buy these medicines and come .(pushing him outside )

At night

Shivaay asked pinky to go home and told her that he would be staying with annika in the hospital.

It was already past 12pm in the night ,annika was in her deep sleep when suddenly she felt something on her foot which made her open her eyes .She was surprised to see shivaay still being awake and applying an ointment on her foot which the doctor had prescribed stating that it would decrease the pain in her foot.He was massaging her foot smoothly as she could feel a soothing relief from her pricking pain.Feeling this relief she slightly moved her legs witnessing which he instantly reacted .

S- I'm sorry ,I'm sorry ...did I disturb your sleep?(he asked being worried )

A- All this while you were irritating me and now ,you behave so sweet?

S- kya karun ,whatever it is ...at the end of the day ....tum meri paanika ho chukki ho .If I don't do all this ,then who will do?

Saying this he lifted her leg gently placing it on his lap ,and continued massaging her foot.

S -tumhe jaldi se jaldi teek karna hai muje ,I can't see you like this ....

Before he could utter more words,he felt her hands catching hold of his tightly which made him look at her and he could just chuckle watching his paanika who had already resumed her sleeping session while holding his hand tightly.

S- sleepy head (nodding in disbelief)

Their relationship wasn't too perfect, but it was their treasure. They do fight a lot but never do they stop caring for the other.Their Tom loves Jerry story is ahead of reaching its climax, let's wait and watch how their never ending friendship turns up to become The Love Forever .
