Attack On Iacon

The sound of turbulence woke me up from my slumber.

How long had I been asleep? Was this ordeal finally over? Was I finally back home?

Once I shook off the grogginess, my eyes widened, my mind jumping to conclusions that I was somehow magically back home. But when I stood up to my feet and looked around, I bumped right into something.

But not just anything.

The wall of my cell.

"Oh you've got to be kidding me..." I mumbled, slouching back down on my butt.

I was still stuck in my energon cage, with this stupid Decepticon insignia scortched onto my arm, my T-shirt ripped off, with only my white bra, a grey crock top cover up around it, blue jeans, and sneakers.

I huffed, pulling my knees up to my chest.

When is this thing going to be over?

I just want to go home!

I don't want to be a part of this! I don't want to keep helping the Decepticons! If anything, I want to be helping the Autobots. Maybe then they could help me figure out a way for me to get back home.

Before I could do anything else, my head set beeped again. And we all knew what that meant.

With a sigh, I pulled the microphone piece outward towards my lips, the red button turning blue as the holographic screen appeared in front of my face. I watched as the saying first appeared in Cybertronian, but then slowly translated itself to English.

"Hungry for more power, Megatron plans to corrupt the very core of Cybertron itself. With Dark Energon. But to do so, he must first find the Omega Key, which will unlock the gateway to the core.

Megatron launches a full scale assault on Iacon, capital city of the Autobots, where the key is protected by Zeta Prime - Leader of the Autobots."

My eyes blinked with surprise as the holographic screen vanished, the mouth piece retracting back into its carrier.

"Wait... I thought Optimus was their leader..." I quietly talked to myself. "Unless... this is before he became a Prime! Which was why it showed Starscream joining the Decepticons!"

But again, how could I not know this? I've played this game over a dozen times!

Okay, think Camillia, think! In Dark of The Moon, it was stated that Sentenial Prime was commander of the Autobots before Optimus. And according to the Exodus book, Sentenial was another name for Zeta, so they are the same person, just referred with different names from time to time.

And this key... I've heard of Omega Supreme, but a Omega Key?

But how could I not know what's happening in the game?

Unless... when I got zapped from the game system... it must have messed up my memory some how?

My train of thought was interrupted by the sound of muffled laser and blaster fire coming from outside. It rocked the area, making my body tumble to the floor of my cage. I looked around to see that I was docked in the back of a ship.

The doors opened, revealing Soundwave and Megatron at the other side. Soundwave stepped into the room, picking up the cage and tucking it under his arm as Megatron waited for him.

"What do you think you're doing?" I glared.

"We require your assistance." Soundwave replied.

"Soundwave, make sure she never leaves your sight. Not until we get inside." Megatron ordered as the two off them walked down a short hallway and entered the loading deck of the ship.

"Yes Lord Megatron." Soundwave obeyed.

Inside the loading deck, Decepticon forces, including Starscream were waiting there. I felt vibrations from the ship as it touched down somewhere. When the ramp lowered itself to reveal the outside, I gasped.

It looked like were just outside some sort of building. It was very magnificent. It had to be very important.

"Starscream, continue forward and meet Zeta Prime's armies on the front lines." Megatron ordered as he, Soundwave, and a few Decepticons jumped down from the ramp, landing on the floor of the main plaza of the building.

"Not to worry Megatron," Starscream flew over head, hovering in his robot mode. "Under my leadership,  Decepticon victory is assured."

"Do not fail me." Megatron growled as Starscream transformed into his jet mode, taking off into the sky.

"Why aren't we joining the main battle Megatron?" Barricade asked with confusion, drawing out his weapon.

"While Starscream attacks Zeta Prime's army head on, we shall move behind enemy lines and obtain the Omega Key." Megatron explained. "With some help from our newest addition." He added, glancing over at me.

The look Megatron gave me sent shivers down my spine. I was already feeling cold enough now that my shirt was gone. Thanks to a certain warlord.

"The Omega what?!" Barricade raised a metal brow.

"The Omega Key grants access to the core of Cybertron." Soundwave explained.

"Once I have the core, I will infuse it with Dark Energon and subject the entire planet's energy supply to my will." Megatron proclaimed.

"And you honestly think you'll get away with that?" I sneered.

"With your help, I just might." Megatron grinned. "Now onward my Decepticons!"

Stuck by Soundwave's side, I was forced to see from his point of view. Autobot forces came running outside, blasting away at the Decepticon invades. I kid you not, I wanted one of them to shoot Soundwave to either rescue me, or heck even put me out of my misery.

You know how if you die in a dream you wake back up in the real world?

... Right now I was thinking that's how I wanted to go out.

It was better than helping the Decepticons!

"Wasn't Starscream supposed to keep these guys occupied?" Barricade sneered.

"Maybe he got cold feet and decided to bail. Hang you up to dry." I grumbled with a glare.

"Even the Autobots aren't foolish enough to leave the Stellar Galleries undefended. Destroy them!" Megatron ordered.

The Decepticons proceeded forward, destroying all Autbots on sight. Sure in my game it would seem like nothing, but that I was here, and living it, it terrified me!

I didn't want in on any part of this!

We traveled under an arch, entering the small plaza of the building. A statue of Zeta Prime was place in the middle of the area.

Suddenly there was a strange, screeching like noise. Then out of nowhere, a group of linear Autobots materialized out of thin air, leaping straight for the Decepticons. But Soundwave whacked them all out with his mace, slicing them in half.

The Decepticon Communicators Officer, he sees and hears everything. After all, he's the eyes and ears of the Decepticons.

Once they made it through the plaza, the platform a head had a view of the city of Iacon, and up in the sky, a Autobot drop ship flew overhead, crashing into one of the city buildings.

"Lord Megatron, the dark energon is proving every bit as formidable as you predicted! The Autobot armies crumble before it!" Starscream boasted over the com-link.

"Excellent Starscream. Continue engaging them so I can acquire the Omega Key." Megatron replied.

We made it across the platform, entering through another door into the building.

"There's something off about that Starscream guy, Megatron. I don't trust him." said Barricade.

"Oh, I trust Starscream about as far as I can blast him." Megatron retorted. "... But he shows a rare cunning that I find intriguing."

I was wondering when he'd say something like that. Starscream may be the second in command to the Decepticons, but it's only a matter of time before Starscream tries to plot against Megatron and stab him in the back. If watching the Generation 1 cartoon taught me everything about Starscream, is that sometimes, he can be primus almighty, annoying.

Suddenly, Soundwave set my cage down, placing me on the floor. I stood up to my feet, pressing my hands against the wall of the energon cube like cage.

"Commencing fusion." he spoke, tapping the top of the cage.

"F-Fusion?" I stuttered.

The walls of the cube began to glow, brightly as they started closing in on me.

Were they trying to crush me?!

But then the walls changed shape, the surface of it highlighting itself all around my body. When it was done, it was like I was wearing some kind of suit. The yellow, white, and blue plating of the energon cube was all around me.

"What did you do?" I asked him.

"This will protect you, should the event of you getting caught in the cross-fire should take place." Megatron answered as he stepped forward, leading the way.

I felt something nudge my back. I turned to see Barricade, transforming his hand into a gun as he signaled me to move. I glared at him, but obeyed, following the Decepticon leader.

We made our way through a narrow hallway before running up a ramp that traveled over the plaza, where a huge door could be found at the other side. An Autobot sniper was up on the roof, firing at us.

I flinched, ducking out of the way as Megatron simply raised his ion cannon and fired, taking out the sniper as his body collapsed down right in front of the door. We proceeded forward, Barricade running a head as he disposed of the body.

"Megatron," Soundwave spoke after he scanned the door. "The door to the Stellar Galleries is locked."

"Oh well." I shrugged. "Too bad, so sad. I guess it's time to go."

But as I turned around, Barricade slammed his foot right in front of me, making me fall back on my butt. "You're not going anywhere."

I glared at the Decepticon as I slowly stood back up to my fight.

"A simple infusion with the Dark Energon should allow the door to open." said Megatron.

He flexed his hand out, purple spikes emerging from the floor as they corrupted the door, crushing with all of its might as the doors swung open, revealing the inside.

We entered the main hall of the gallery, making our way around the turns until we found the main room. At the giant over head console in the middle of the room, up on the ceiling, a giant pillar slammed down onto the energized floor.

"Megatron, these batteries  feed the security grid." Soundwave spoke.

"Quickly! Infuse the batteries with Dark Energon!" Megatron ordered.

The three Decepticons separated while I was left on the platform. I had thought about making a run for it. But by now, almost every Decepticon knows of my presence, and if any of them see me running, they'll obviously try to catch me.

Once the Decepticons turned off the security system, the entire room shut down, a door at the other side lighting up.

"Now that we are in control, Camilia," Megatron looked over at me, the sight of his bloody red optics staring at me sent shivers down my spine. "Where is the Omega Key?"

I nervously looked around the room, seeing the rest of the Decepticons staring at me. I guess I don't really have a choice now...

I placed my hands on my headset, shutting my eyes closed as I emptied my mind and focused. I felt a click in my mind as a image appeared in my brain. It was the shape of a key then it flashed, revealing a large room, and then the image flashed, changing it to a door before the vision vanished completely.

When I opened my eyes, I looked up, seeing the exact same door at the other side of the room, just like the one I saw in my vision.

I slowly pointed my finger at the door. "It's just through there."

"Excellent." He purred. "This venture has proven far less taxing then I thought."

We made our way across the room, finding the door as Megatron used his new found might to force the door open. The room was large with pillars all around it with a staircase to the second floor balconies. In the middle of the room was a giant statue of the planet Cybertron. Soundwave accessed the console of the statue, making a few objects appear, circling the replica of the planet.

One of them looked a lot like the planet Saturn.

"The Autobots maintain these rooms for tranquil contemplation." He explained.

"What does that even mean?" Barricade asked.

"It means the Autobots laze about and whine over their own inadequacies. A waste of time and resources. Find the Omega Key!" Megatron ordered.

Soundwave took a step back as he and Barricade blasted the objects circling the Cybertron statue. Taking each of them out one by one, and destroying the replica of the planet completely. Nothing. No key or nothing else fell out.

So they made their way up the stairs, as I was forced to trail behind them. There was another computer console at the top as Soundwave accessed its files.

"Behold Decepticons, the Omega Key!" Megatron proclaimed.

A metal orb was floating around on top of the console. Once Soundwave broke through the system, the red force field that protected it vanished, as the orb twisted and turned, transforming itself into a half circle.

"Wow... That is one empty container." Barricade commented.

"So you lied to us dear Camilia." Megatron sneered, glaring down at me.

"What? No, I didn't! I swear, it didn't look like that when I saw it!" I defended.

Suddenly a holopgrahic image of a Cybertronian appeared on top of the container. The mech had a dark blue paint job with yellow highlights and red glowing lines along his body and face.

"Megatron, I'm warning you right now. You are toying with forces beyond your understanding or control." It spoke.

"Ah, Zeta Prime." Megatron greeted with a smirk. "I see you're still afraid to face me in person."

"Leave him alone, he can kick your--!"

"Shut it fleshing!" Barricade barked, aiming his weapon right at me.

"Ha! Predicable as ever, right down to the empty words. The Omega Key is under MY protection now, Megatron." Zeta Prime explained. "Release the organic creature to me, and leave immediately."

"I think not. Miss Camilia is official property to the me and the Decepticons. As for the Omega Key, I will gladly enjoy taking it away from your lifeless hands." Megatron stated.

"So be it." Zeta Prime replied.

His hologram vanished as a squad of Autobots poured into the room. Two snipers up on the platforms near the roof and nearly a dozen ground units.

"...Any more bright ideas?" I commented.
