Chapter 3: Her PTSD

3 Months Later...

"What was your favorite scene to shoot for this new Netflix series, Ms. Nemara?" A blogger asked Julia, calling her 'miss' because of formal reasons.

Funneh, Gold, Draco, and Julia were all currently on tour to promote their series and this was pretty much the last tour they had to go on, it was in New York. As promised, most of the staff crew members also came but only a third came because of personal reasons, and they were just waiting in the back rooms while watching the four stars from a TV.

She giggled, "Please, just call me 'Julia'. And um, my favorite favorite scene or...?" Julia trailed off, wanting to get a clearer meaning of the question the blogger had asked her.

Luckily for her, she was sitting right next to Draco and the dragon boy whispered to her, not breaking contact from the crowd, "I think he means what he literally said, Julia. Like, which of all the scenes we have recorded was your favorite favorite," He muttered, now giving Julia's figure a side glance.

Because they were on tour, they all had to wear fancy clothing due to formalities.

Julia was wearing a glittery light ocean blue cocktail dress - kid-sized, of course - and she had matching glitter blue slippers. Her hair had a couple of blue glitter extensions and it was up in a messy bun. To simplify, her whole outfit was blue glitter themed.

Draco, himself, on the other hand, was wearing a dark red and blue suit. He doesn't usually wear formal attire so this was still uncomfortable to him as this was still one of his first times using these. Same like Julia, he also has a color scheme going on with his outfit.

Looking to his right, he saw Gold and Funneh, conversing quietly enough for no one other than them to hear.

Funneh was right beside him and she was using a dark blue strapless crop top and a skin-tight black skirt that went down right under her knees. Her hair was styled up in two space buns. And she wore dark blue sneakers.

Gold most likely had the most stylish out of all four of them. She was wearing an off sleeve golden prom dress with white stockings that reached up to her knees, and she was wearing a pair of very detailed golden heel boots. She was the only one who had her hair down and it was styled with a very unique style - a bundle of golden roses stuck professionally into the back of her hair where a small bun was present, but most of her hair was down.

Draco then looked back to the front and looked at the crowd in front of him. Julia, after Draco had explained the question, finally got her answer and stifled back a laugh. Gathering her composure, she answered.

"Well, if I had to choose one, it would probably be, um, this one scene where Draco had tried to flush me down the toilet," She laughed.

When her three other friends understood which scene she was talking about, they started laughing too.

The blogger who had asked her the question spoke up again with a chuckle, "And was the act successful or not?"

The four stars on stage ceased their laughing and looked at each other before they all smirked. Julia looked back at the blogger, tapping her microphone twice to check if it was still working before saying, "Well, I guess you'll have to see for yourself when you watch the series."

The crowd erupted with a playful, semi-disappointed 'awh' but when Julia said that she didn't want to spoil the series any more than she and her co-stars already had, the crowd laughed.

A few hours later, after a few more questions and answers, they were finally done with the last press tour and were currently in the penthouse of a very fancy hotel in New York - Marriott.

After a long day, they were all very tired and ready to just go to bed. So they all took a bath in their separate bathrooms and once they were done, they made themselves cozy in the twin beds that were in the room. Gold slept with Funneh while Draco slept with Julia.

An hour or two passed and three of her friends were currently sleeping peacefully. Funneh turned to look at her left and saw Draco and Julia cuddling each other. She let out a small snicker before turning to look at Gold. She was hugging a plushie they had gotten on one of their trips around the US.

Funneh then turned the TV on and switched channels until she found one that she couldn't take her eyes off of. It was the news channel and the current news on was titled 'THE SLAYER STRIKES AGAIN! PARENTS OF EVELYNNE "EVELYN" PLATNIM GREEN AND PARENTS OF PRINCE WILLIAM KYNC FOUND DEAD!'.

Funneh found herself watching the two young actors who lived across the country as they cried over their parents' deaths. Of course, Prince and Evelyn weren't siblings so that meant that two parents were killed tonight by her dad.

Yes, The Slayer killed Prince and Evelyn's parents. The Slayer, a.k.a Funneh's dad, Everett LeVorey.

It was heartbreaking enough to have an abusive father, but it was more heartbreaking to know that your father was responsible for the brutal murders one hundreds of people. The fact that Everett hasn't killed Funneh or hurt her more than usual was considered extremely lucky.

As soon as the body bags were being brought into a truck, Funneh gagged and she could've sworn that she tasted blood in her mouth, meaning that she had almost thrown up blood. She then saw Evelyn - a 7 year old American Actress - crying while banging on the door of the truck which had just shut before some policeman pulled her away from the truck which had started moving away to the funeral home.

Prince also had tears in his eyes but helped drag Evelyn into another truck that was filled with army men. It was just a precaution to protect the young actors in case The Slayer wanted to strike again, but this time, it might be the kids he targets. So they had to put extra security-

The screen turned black. Funneh had the remote in her hand and her thumb was on the red on/off button. She, without looking away from the TV, put the remote back on the nightstand, and then slowly and quietly, she got out of bed and walked to her bathroom.

Closing the door, she turned to the sink and flicked the lever upwards, letting the water flow out of the faucet. She placed her hands under the cold running water before splashing in on her face. She turned off the sink and stayed there for a minute, looking at her reflection in the mirror.

She looked normal, but she felt as if the murders her dad has done were also in her hands. She was Everett- The Slayer's daughter. If people found out about that, no one would ever trust nor forgive her for everything her dad's done - if she can even call him that.

Funneh closed her eyes and as soon as she did, she saw the part where Evelyn and Prince were crying over their parents' dead bodies. The overwhelming fear and sorrow that she saw in their eyes as they cried and screamed.

Guilt washed over her as she started feeling tears wetting her now-glossy eyes. Her dad did that, therefore, she was to blame as well. As the saying goes, 'The apple does not fall far from the tree'. And if that saying was true, who knows, Funneh might grow up into a monster, just like Everett.

Suddenly, literally out of nowhere, Funneh felt bile rising up her throat and her stomach twisted and turned uncomfortably. Out of instinct, at the burning sensation she felt almost at her mouth, she ran to the toilet and puked out her dinner.

"Well, that's a perfectly good waste of delicious gourmet steak. Yay, me..." Funneh thought disapprovingly to herself.

A sudden knock on her bathroom frozen glass door made her jump. Almost immediately, she stood up, flushed down her vomit, and closed the toilet with its lid.

The knock came again and this time, a concerned voice came with it, "Funneh? Are you okay? What was that sound?" Gold's comforting voice came.

Funneh panicked, not wanting any of her friends to know about her dad being a murderer, nor about her puking her guts out just now. She started to run to the door when she felt her feet slip due to a wet spot on the ground, a.k.a water.

Her face collided with the ground faster than she could've blinked and that was when she saw a blurry figure - Gold - coming to her figure that was currently laying on the floor with her eyes lidded and dazed.

She heard a distorted shout. What was said was unclear but what was clear was that it came from Goldeen. In a matter of seconds, two more figures came up to her after she heard Gold shout something and that was when everything went black for Funneh.

She was currently in a deep slumber, dreaming about something very unusual. Actually, it was more of a nightmare than a dream - it was horrifying. Blood was splattered everywhere in the room and there were knives stuck into the walls around her. Again, only one word can describe this; HORRIFYING.

Her heart was beating against her chest so hard that she was shocked she hadn't had broken any of her ribs or any other body parts near that area. Funneh felt her breath cut short; she started hyperventilating and she backed up slowly. As she did so, she looked around her in panic and fear.

In all honesty, she had no concerns for herself, but her panic was for the blood and knives in the pitch-black room she was in.

Whose blood did it belong to? For all she knows, it could've belonged to anyone - someone she knows or didn't know.

There was still no sign of blood trails or whoever the heck the blood belonged to; no dead bodies or limbs or organs or anything around her. But it had to have belonged to more than one person because of the crazy amount around her.

She still backed up as slow as she could go, but that was when she felt something under her feet - she had stepped on something... or rather, someone. A dead someone.

A high-pitched, ear-piercing scream escaped from Funneh's mouth when she saw the dead body on the floor. A pool of semi-dried-up blood underneath it and the very obvious wound caused by the shiny, red knife stuck in the person's chest.

After wasting her voice away, Funneh had to stop screaming due to running out of breath. She regained her senses and carefully scanned the dead person in front of her.

She let out a small sigh of relief - it wasn't anyone she recognized; a stranger.

Shaking her head, she placed both of her hands on either side of her forehead, massaging it, "This has got to be a dream... There is a dead person present right in front of me. SNAP OUT OF IT, FUNNEH! This cannot be real," She thought while closing her eyes.

The moment she opened her eyes was one of the worst decisions she has ever made. Another scream slips past her mouth, but this time, it was because of two dreadful things.

What was worse than seeing a dead person you didn't recognize? Seeing your three current best friends dead on the floor with knives stabbed into them in different parts of their bodies.

A few seconds later, she felt nauseous and when it disappeared, she was a teen - at least, 17 to 19. Her world spun around by itself and she saw dead people all over the place. Gold, Draco, and Julia were there too but they were also teens this time.

Though the weird thing was that her eyes weren't stuck on her besties, but on a boy. A random teenage boy she has never seen. His red hair that was gelled upward and his matching red eyes that were slowly turning grey by the moment.

She reached forward and started moving towards the dead teenage boy on the ground. Holding her hand up, she placed it on his cold, pale cheeks. The eerie sensation that crawled up her arm as soon as she touched him was unexplainable.

Funneh had no idea what it was, but something told her to get away from her spot as soon as possible. The hairs in her body stood upward and she started getting goosebumps all over herself. Her heart rate went up again.

She stood up as fast as she could and ran. She didn't know where she was running to but she just did. Everything she passed by was a blur but she could see all the dead bodies she passed as if they were taunting her.

She ran and ran as fast as her legs could take her, but that was when she heard a swish. Curiosity took over her and she stopped dead in her tracks, almost tripping over her own feet due to the speed she was running at.

The sound started out small but it got louder, and louder, and louder, and louder.

Funneh's eyes widened when she realized what the sound was coming from. By the time she turned around, she was too late.

Another scream went out of her lips, but this time, unlike the other times, she let out a blood-curdling scream as she fell down to the floor.

She looked down as she felt something bubbling up her throat. Through her chest, she saw a knife and a bloodstain that was growing rapidly by the second. The bubbling liquid came up to her mouth and she coughed out blood.

Funneh screamed, jolting up from the bed she was in. She looked around and saw that she was back in her hotel room. Gold, Draco, and Julia were all asleep until they woke up because of Funneh's scream.

Gold was the first to get and she stroked Funneh's back affectionately as the blue-haired girl panted. Julia and Draco bounced on Gold and Funneh's bed as they tried their best to calm down the frightened girl.

"Funneh," Julia started. But to Funneh, her voice sounded distant, though she could still hear her, "Funneh. You're having a panic attack. Here, follow me," Funneh's head started to spin as her breathing went out of control, "Deep breaths- In and out, in and out. That's it, yeah. Keep going, in and out, in and out."

Julia demonstrated for Funneh as she took in deep breaths and let them out slowly, the blue-haired girl following the steps shakily. The blonde girl nodded as she noticed her friend starting to calm down a tad bit.

"That's right, girl. Good Funneh, good Funneh," After a few more breaths, Funneh finally started to calm down, "That's it. You're fine, you're good. Okay?"

Funneh nodded groggily and she leaned back into Gold's arms where she felt safe, "Y-Yeah. I'm o-okay..." She closed her eyes and arched her brows in discomfort.

The room fell silent after Funneh had answered. The only sound that was left was the sound of the rain from outside. Gold was stroking the back of Funneh's hair in a comforting manner, Funneh stayed still in Gold's embrace, Julia was fidgeting with her fingers while she let herself lean on Draco's side, and he was playing with strands of Julia's blonde hair while he let her lean on him.

The dim yellow light illuminating the room came from Funneh's bathroom because they left it on after Gold had found Funneh unconscious on the floor of her shower room. It was a panicking situation, seeing one of your best friends lying on the floor with no signs of movement.

Funneh had hit her head on the floor pretty hard and, thanks to Julia's many skills - one of them is medication, they were able to patch up the bump on her head after they had gotten her back on her bed, without any adults' assistance.

Letting small, sorrowful tears slip past both her eyes, Funneh placed her hand on her head where the bruise was and felt it. She applied small pressure on it and regretted it as soon as she did. She let out a small hiss of pain before going back to embracing Gold.

When Draco finally decided that it was getting too quiet in the room, he sighed, "Funneh," That got everyone's attention, "What happened? How'd you end up on the floor of your bathroom shower? Why did you scream awake all of a sudden? And why were you in the bathroom in the first place?" He asked.

Gold frowned at his self-assurance to ask Funneh something that wasn't his business, "Draco!" She hissed quietly while shaking her head, "What is wrong with you? You can't just ask someone that- The nerve..." She whispered but muttered the last part to herself, looking away.

But much to Gold's surprise, "No, no. It's okay," Funneh sniffed, pulling away from Gold's protective hold, "It's not that big of a deal."

"If it made you upset enough to fall in your bathroom and scream in your sleep," Julia cut in strictly but worrily, "Then I'd say it's a pretty big deal, Kat."

Now, Funneh knew she had to say something. When Julia uses middle names, that was when she was serious about what she's saying.

Sucking in a deep breath, the blue-haired girl said in a hushed voice, "I saw the new murders on the news. The Slayer killed Prince and Evelyn's parents," She started sobbing.

"Prince and Evelyn?" Gold raised a brow, "Do you mean Prince William Kync and Evelynne Platnim Green?" Funneh gave a small nod as she covered her eyes with her hands.

Draco shifted his brows as he tried to sympathize, "Well, that isn't your fault. The Slayer just doesn't have any sense of right or wrong, and none of that is your fault. But unlike The Slayer, you do have moral sense. A good one. You just showed us that by the way you acted - you felt for them, which means you care."

Julia snickered for a second, "Not the best way to explain it, but Draco's right," Gold nodded in assent.

Funneh looked down and thought to herself, "It's more than that. The Slayer is my dad, but... I guess they have a point."

As her response to Draco's 'sympathizing', Funneh just nodded, "Yeah, thanks," She muttered.

Draco and Julia's expressions instantly dimmed and they said goodnight and sweet dreams before they started to go back for their bed. But that was when they felt Funneh pull on them and all four of them landed in a big bear hug.

Sighing, "I love you guys," Funneh said drowsily, her eyes starting to shut as sleep consumed her.

Julia followed in pursuit, "I love you all too," Then she closed her eyes.

Gold smiled, "Love you three,"

"I love you three too," He brought them all towards him and they all started to drift off to sleep.

Unconsciously, Funneh smiled in her sleep, now dreaming of a nice dream and not a nightmare. She then thought to herself.

"I knew I chose amazing friends to be my real family. I should listen to my gut feeling more often if it lead me to this moment right here," She let out a sigh and said, "Goodnight, guys," A few seconds later, she got muffled replies of 'night's, making her smile a teeny-tiny bit wider.
