REALITY CHECK : Hotdogs are alive
Hotdogs are really nasty creatures in disguise who have hidden agendas. Crazy idea? Not really. Perhaps you're wondering how a hotdog could be a monster when it is nothing but a reddish elongated meat which perfectly goes with cheddar cheese, ketchup, and mayo. How can hotdogs be that horrible when they appear to be so delightful with a promise of filling your stomach?
Well, give it a thought. How could an old beggar possibly be a wicked witch when she even offered you an apple; how could a frog be a lost prince when he even seemed to eat flies and mosquitoes; how could your best friend be a monster when he/she is nothing but a sweet and an understanding friend who's always been there for you; how could you be a monster when you are nothing but a kind and a selfless person who's a friend to almost everybody?
But then, are you truly the person you have shown everyone? Are you being a hundred and one percent honest to people and to yourself? Do people really know you? How much do your friends know you? How certain are you that you know yourself by heart?
Mayhap you know yourself or somehow not. We all have something inside us that doesn't want to be exposed. There is a part of us that we tend to hide certainly because we are too afraid to be rejected, too scared to be misjudged, or too anxious to be despised.
Like a hotdog which appears to be really delicious however causes diseases like cancer. Why would it tell you that it could bring you a disease when it knows that there will be a possibility that you might not love it anymore?
And then you pretend to be somebody you are not; trying to hide who you truly are, acting to be so good to conceal your flaws, and playing a role to fool yourself. The thing is that the person you are trying to kill will always be a part of you – because that person inside you is who you really are.
This might be harder than it sounds but why don't you try to be yourself? Try to be the real you without caring for whatever people say. If you indeed know who you are then maybe you also know how amazingly wonderful you are. Understand yourself so you could be able to accept it; accept yourself so you could learn how to love it; and love yourself so you could finally be proud of you.
When you love yourself wholly maybe, just maybe, you could finally have the courage to show the world how beautiful you are despite your flaws and imperfections.
Don't let those people who knew nothing about you, but criticize you unreasonably, bother you. Why would you care about what they are going to say when you know yourself better than anybody else does?
They only see what they wanted to see, hear what they wanted to hear, and know what they wanted to understand. If they can't be open-minded enough to understand you, then, be the one to understand them. Anyway, there is a person in all the universes who could truly understand and love you just the way you are. That's you.
Well, how bad could it be to be loved by yourself? After all, there is nobody you could rely on and trust fully but yourself. How bad could it be to understand yourself; how bad could it be to accept yourself? Loving yourself may sound narcissistic but it doesn't matter. What matters is that you know who you are.
Besides, the only people who care about how narcissistic loving yourself sounds are the people who are too coward and insecure to accept themselves. They are just making an alibi by judging you so you would be as miserable as they.
People eating hotdogs in spite of knowing everything about it, each disease that you might catch and each pleasure you would feel when you eat it, is like people accepting you despite discovering your flaws and imperfections.
You struggle with their criticisms and misjudgments at first but they'll somehow understand how delightful you are and probably accept you. Quit pretending like those hotdog creatures. Well maybe they are nasty but who doesn't have an electron?
Meanwhile in your mouth when you were chewing those hotdogs, somehow they were struggling so hard to deal with your teeth crushing them but, they finally decided to show you how nasty they look like, true shape and color.
Nevertheless, you don't care how bad it looks in your mouth when they revealed themselves and continued loving them and eating them anyway. My point is that however bad you think you are, people will someway accept you and love you for who you truly are.
There is always a point zero one percent chance that everything will fall into where you want it to be; so little yet enough. It is just up to you if you'll hold on to that point zero one percent of possibility or just let go and give up.
You'll always deal with people's criticism and misjudgment anyway whether or not you'll show them who you are so why not be brave enough to remove that mask and let them see how ravishing your face is. Unleash that something inside you that you tend to hide.
If you are worried because you are trying to hide a monster inside you, well, we all have monsters inside us. Try to care less about peoples' understatements. For once, trust yourself. Tell the world whatever it is that is running across your mind. Have faith with yourself. Do not worry.
Remember, there is always one person who loves you; and that is you. Well, sometimes, one is more than enough. Now, have you already encouraged that idea of hotdogs being creatures in disguise?
Well, would you still eat them, or would you just watch them be rotten in a distance?
