My Mirror Lies

My mirror lied to me again today,

lied to me just like yesterday.

I'm not this person with tired eyes,

or quivered lips that agonize.

I'm truly happy deep inside,

doesn't matter how hard I've cried.

But my mirror shows me what I deny.

I scream at it, but I hear no reply.

Tomorrow I'll throw this mirror away, 

but for now my feelings will be kept on display.
