Masterpiece of Me

she was a work of art

constantly hiding her heart

she built a wall so tall

so that no one could see the stories that she had buried deep

so deep she lost her soul

forest to flowers

she tries to break it down

in hopes she might reclaim it somehow

but until then

she is but a mystery to them all
