Chapter 9 - Red Is Ross?

"Red...."

He laughed. "Little Rachel couldn't take the hard life, could she?" I took deep breaths. The last thing I need to do is piss off a psychopathic cannibal. "Just shut up. What do you want from us?"

He looked amused. "Just a single question for you. What dimension are you from?" I gave him my confused and annoyed face. "Ummm...this dimension. I mean, come on. What kinda question is that?"

He pulled my phone from his pocket. "This is a strange piece of technology. A phone, yet it still works and it doesn't look like this one." He pulled a dead Minecraft phone from his pocket. "You can't lie to me, Becca. This evidence is ob---" He stepped back and shielded his eyes. A bright light had come from behind me. Where Rachel was.

I whirled around, the blinding light fading away. Rachel was still there, but she gave off a weird glow. "Rachel...?" Suddenly, pixels of her started to disappear. Vanished. I stepped back in horror. The freak is happening??? After about 15 seconds, she was gone. Nothing remained of her except the blood on the ground she coughed up.

I slowly turned back around to Red. "...I hate you." He rubbed his eyes. "Yeesh, that was bright." The gang just hung there, shocked, silent. I could feel anger boiling up in me. Calm down, Becca. Calm down. Just...calm...down.... "So...what'd ya want, Red? You came here for a reason. You never don't have a reason for coming to see your captives."

Red smirked. "True enough. I came...to...test something." What? Is he Ross now or something? He walked towards my cage and unlocked it. I stepped as far away as I could from him. He unholstered his gun, whirled it on his finger, and then pointed it at me.

Fear began to take over. I could feel my stomach...well, becoming numb, if you can really feel that. My mind began to go into overdrive, like it usually does when I start to freak out. What is he doing? He...he isn't going to eat me...yet. I don't know how I know. I just do.

He walked in and grabbed my arm very roughly. "Let's go now." I struggled, trying my hardest to put my 145 lb. body to use. He then did what I knew he was going to do. *chink* "Don't make me, Becca." I stopped, expecting the gun to be pointed at me. Instead, it was pointed at Shark. He flinched, probably because he was not expecting that. "Ok, ok, ok. Fine. Just...don't." I sighed.

He snickered. "As all good guys are. Too emotionally attached." He dragged me out the door. I looked back at Shark just before we left. I saw gratefulness, sadness, and pity in his eyes. I'm sorry, he mouthed.

So I was checking out my stats on the book today and was super happy.

66 reads?? Awesome! Also, I was checking out the demographics of the book and saw 66.667% of the readers were in the U.S. and 16.667% in Canada (Hi, Canadians!). I was confused. Where's the other 16.667%? I looked over at the African continent and saw a faint blue dot. I hovered over it and it said United Arab Emirates 16.667% readers.

O_O Das awesome!

As a side note, anything I say about me that is seemingly personal (cough, cough, my weight, cough) is true.

That's all I got to say. See ya next time, Hyperfans!

Becca

(Only 3 edits here.  At least I got better!  :D)
