Chapter 13 - Forgiveness
Becca's POV
Sky....
"Sky, RUN. They're taki----" I flinched slightly, feeling Becky fight for control. "Sky, please, run. I can't hold her back much longer. GO!" The sword didn't leave my throat. "And why should I believe you? You're working for Red!"
I started blacking out. "Sky...run...please...." I couldn't unstress myself soon enough. Becky took control, and for the first time in my life, I let her.
Sky's POV
"Sky...run...please...." she whimpered. She then closed her eyes and fell forward. I whipped the sword out of the way so as not to cut her. What the flip? How does she know me?
Suddenly, she started getting up off the floor. I lifted the sword up, praying she wasn't possessed or something (Oh Sky, if only you knew xD). She turned towards me, her eyes glowing blood red. "You should have listened to her, Sky. Now...time to go meet Red...again...HEHEHEHEHE!!" She leapt at me, snarling like a rabid animal. I jumped back and to the side, causing her to hit the wall. I smacked her head as hard as I could with the butt of my sword, and she didn't get back up. What...?
Nick's POV
Come on...just a little more...got it! I slipped my hands through the chains, grinning. "Guys, I did it!" I whisper-yelled. I looked around for something to use to help everyone else, but the door started clanking. I quickly sat back and put the chains over my hands. I then heard a familiar voice. "I swear to the heavens above, Red...LET ME GO."
The door swung open and Red walked in with Jess. He threw her next to me and chained her up. "JESS!" I yelp. She looked at me and stared, frightened. "Formula X's...Ghetto...." She looked over at Ghetto, who was leaning back against the wall, groaning.
I turned towards Red to call him back over, but he had already left. "D****t." I lifted the chains off my hands and stood up. I ran over to Ghetto, worried about his condition. "Ghetto! Are you gonna make it?" He looked at me weakly, grinning. "Can't keep this lion down for nothin'. Let's get outta here and find Becca."
Jess gasped. "What? Becca is with you guys?" I tugged the chains off Ghetto and moved on to AK. "Yeah. It's a long story, but to make it short, she's from another dimension. She's probably looking for a way out, or.... I'd rather not think about that." I pulled the chains off AK and he helped me with Shark. "But...she's working with Red.... She held me at gunpoint and Red was there. He spoke with her like she's working for him."
We finished getting Shark out of the chains, so I went over to Jess to get her out. "What? No, she's with us. She wouldn't do that. She hates Red as much as us." Jess shook her head as I pulled the last chains off her. "She's with Red, Nick. I saw it myself. She ran off after asking Red's permission to leave when we arrived at the building. She's somewhere in the city. Sky might've found her." Shark and AK walked over to Ghetto to help him up. "We'll worry about that later. I know of a place that we can hide out for a bit before getting outta here. Does Sky have another way back?" "Yeah. We came by a dingy boat."
I chuckled a bit at that and turned towards the door. Here goes nothing." I murmured, pulling the door open. I didn't understand why it was unlocked. He's way too confident. There was a room to the right of our cell. Our stuff might be in there. I pushed it open and saw only a single bag. Jess gasped softly. "That's my bag!" She exclaimed. She ran over to it, opened it, and pulled out a smaller bag. "Success!" She then reached into the smaller bag and pulled out a bottle. Ghetto gasped this time. "Formula X!"
He pushed AK and Shark off him and stumbled over to Jess. He took the bottle and gulped it down. "Eughhh...gross...but...I'm feeling better already!" Jess pulled out a couple of guns from her bag and tossed them to me and AK. "Let's get outta here."
Becca's POV (A little after the gang's escape)
I awoke to, thankfully, find my body in my control again. But, as always, I had to experience deja vu. I was cuffed to a post on the stairway. Sky was on the couch, staring at the broken TV. Great. I'm on Sky's bad side. Not to mention, if Jess is with the gang, she'll tell them about 'this girl' and they'll think I betrayed them.
Cuz technically, you did.
Yeah...you kinda did, Becca.
It's not like I had a choice! They would've died if I hadn't! ...Calm down, Becca. I can't get stressed again. When my focus came back to my current situation, I noticed Sky staring at me. "What?" I snapped. Sky chuckled a bit. "Just trying to figure you out. Why are you working for Red? Do you know how evil he is?" I sigh. "Yes, I do. I didn't have a choice to work with him." I looked at the ground to emphasize the fact that I didn't want to talk to him anymore.
Sky sighed, stood up, and walked out the door. I was alone with my thoughts.
And us.
Since we have so much flipping alone time now, why do you hate me so much?
Do you know what it's like to spend...13 years in someone's head? It can make you hate them. A lot.
I never did anything to you guys! I mean...seriously!
Well...we don't know who to express our anger to besides you. You're always here.
That's a horrible excuse.
The egos didn't say anything else. I was glad. I didn't want to talk to anyone right now anyways.
**MAGICAL TIME SKIP OF HYPERNESS**
The front door creaked open. Sky walked in followed by...Jess and the gang! I was happy, but it deflated quite rapidly. I had betrayed them, and they barely knew me anyway. They won't trust me....
Jess looked at me with anger while the gang just stared at me. Nick came over and sat in front of me. "Hey, Becca." I glanced at him, confused. "I'm...sorry...." I whispered.
I began telling them about my alter egos. When I got to the part about Becky, I saw Sky frown. "Was that who attacked me?" I nodded. "They are able to take over only in times of distress for me." A little farther into the story led to the part of Red finding out crucial info. Everyone gasped. "Ohhh...great...." AK murmured. After that, I told them about what happened when I left the room.
When I finished my story, I noticed that my face was wet from tears. Nick looked at Sky, who tossed him a key. Nick unlocked the cuffs, allowing me to be free. I sprang at Nick and hugged him tightly (key, free, tightly.... #unintentionalrhymes). "I'm sorry...I'm sorry...." I said over and over.
Nick hugged me back and then pulled me off. "It's OK, Becca. Let's let bygones be bygones. We need to get back home." I nodded and stood. Nick also stood up and commanded everyone. "OK, guys. Back to the copter. Try to keep a low profile, though." We agreed and left the building full of memories.

This book is almost at it's end.
Yea...I suck at prolonging books. Don't worry, though! I promise book 2 will be much longer. :D
That's all I got to say. Smash that vote button at hyper speeds, Hyperfans!

(And I still suck at prolonging books.)
