Paralyzed With Fear

Anti never really remembers his nightmares. He really only just has them and then once he wakes up, they're gone to him. Faded like they never existed.

But this time. . . .

This time he could tell he'd be remembering everything. No matter if he wanted to or not.

He was in this very house. It was dark and quiet. Not a sound was being made.

It was like no one lived there anymore. Or they were hiding. But from what?

Or who?

Anti walked through the house. Every room he crossed by. Not even the doors made a sound as he opened them. Was he deaf in this dream?

He wanted to turn on the lights but his body wouldn't move to do so. He wanted out of there. It was so creepy at night like this. At least with anyone home at this time of night, he'd hear snoring, a TV or light music.

But there was nothing.

Where was everyone?

Finally, however, he made it to the back yard. Over by one of the trees was a figure. He shook like he was laughing.

Anti had a hard time trying to look at him from afar so he went closer.

As he came around to the back of the tree, figure stopped shaking but Anti could see a small grin on his face. He still couldn't tell who this man was, though. His hair covered his face and he had his head down. . . .

But that smile. . .

Anti edged a little closer. He seemed. . . . wet? Had it been raining?

Anti wanted to say something but found he couldn't. Was it out of fear or could he really just couldn't speak in this nightmare?

'Look around you . . .'

A voice echoed in his head. The voice sounded too familiar.

'Look around and see what you have done. Remember what you did?'

Anti's heart raced as the man grinned wider.

He looked around him briefly only to see there were other people around him.

On the ground almost lifeless.

Crumpled in a mess of their own defeat.

Anti looked closer, his eyes adjusting to the dark.

A man looked up at him, pure hatred in his eyes. Fresh scars on his face, blood on his clothes.

'M-marvin?' Anti mouthed the words but no sound came out. He tried to rush to him but the magician just disappeared into smoke.

'How could you do this?'

Anti ran to another figure to see it was Jackie. He was laying on his side, coughing up blood, holding his stomach, 'Jackie! Hold on! I'll get Henrik!' but he vanished, too.

Chase and Jameson looked up at him, fear in their eyes.

Resentment.

Chase just looked torn apart. Like he just wanted it all to end, 'Where are they?' he cried to himself, 'Where are my babies?'

Then they disappeared like the others.

Anti fell to the ground, himself.

'Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up!!!'

A foot came into view beside him and he glanced up at the grinning shadow he had seen before by the tree.

The man leaned down slowly next to him.

'Don't you remember this is all your fault? You did this. And you loved every second of it'

He showed Anti a knife in his hand, 'You tried to atone for it, didn't you? You thought it'd mean anything?'

The man moved his hair out of the way and Anti was stunned with fear.

This man . . . . this . . .monster.. . .

Was HIM.

This Antisepticeye grinned at him, taking a clump of his hair in his fist to move his head back, 'It all meant nothing in the end, didn't it? The agony and cries. . .. the fear and torture you bestowed. . . . your love for the blood on your hands. You couldn't atone for ANY of it'

Anti could just stare into his own eyes as he drew the knife over his neck.

Slitting his throat.

"ANTI!"

Henrik banged on the door hard but he didn't hear any noise.

The others had ran beside him and they questioned everything that was going on but they knew something was wrong with Anti.

"We need to get inside NOW!" Henrik shouted, "Jackie, break open zhe door!"

"Wait, how do you know what's going on, Hen!? What did you do!?" Jackie yelled at him but Henrik didn't see that they had the time to squabble.

"JUST BREAK OPEN ZHE FUCKING DOOR!"

Chase took out his gun from the back of his pants and suddenly shot the door handle off.

Henrik didn't question that and burst the door open.

The egos stared in shock, paralyzed in fear.

Anti was glitching and shuddering violently, foam coming out of his mouth and clawing at his throat.

"What's wrong with him!?" Chase shouted, "Henrik, what did you do!?"

"He's having a seizure" the doctor ran to him and grabbed Anti, forcing him on his side so he didn't hurt himself further.

Jackie rushed over to help, keeping his head still so he didn't whack it against his headboard and holding his arms down so he couldn't rip at his skin anymore.

"Henrik, do something!" Marvin shouted at him.

" . . .Zhere is nothing I CAN do!" Henrik sighed, ". . . . we have to wait until zhe seizure ends"

Chase wanted to yell at him. He wanted to punch the doctor. He KNEW he was the cause of this somehow. But seeing the pain in his eyes. The complete regret.

The only thing that mattered right now was helping Anti and Henrik, as a doctor, was right.

After a few minutes, Anti finally stopped seizing and Henrik swallowed, "Need to get him downstairs. Marvin, will you levitate him? Careful of his head"

Marvin did as asked and levitated Anti carefully. They all had their questions. They all wanted to yell at Henrik.

The tension in the air was like fire.

Once they got him in a hospital bed downstairs in Henrik's little lab, the doctor began to hook him up to an IV and a monitor.

Henrik checked his vitals but everything seemed to be coming down just fine.

'Was that all it was? Just a seizure? That could be good, then. At least . . . better than vhat I feared.'

He noticed Anti was sweating and he rushed to get a wet cloth for him.

The others were still in shock at what happened but finally, Chase spoke.

"Henrik . . . . what the hell was that?"

The doctor leaned over Anti, his hands on the bars of the hospital bed, just staring down at the glitch.

Henrik swallowed, "I don't know."

"Bullshit!" Jackie shouted, "You knew EXACTLY what was going on before any of us did! He was at your office today and THEN he started feeling bad. What. . . HAPPENED?"

Everyone waited for his response but Henrik honestly didn't know what to say.

'I. . . I did it, didn't I? Was it me? The shot . ..'

Henrik ignored his brothers and closed his eyes, "We'll have to see when he wakes up . . I'm . . I'm not sure vhat"

"Liar" Marvin glared at him, "You're lying, Hen. Why? Why are you doing this?"

Jameson signed to him, 'We need to know. We will find out eventually.'

"FINE! FINE!" Henrik threw up his hands defensively, "Something DID happen! But I didn't mean it! I swear!" he stepped back away from them in case they got too angry at him.

"Didn't mean what?" Marvin growled at him, "What did you do!?"

A wave of pain rushed through Henrik. It was hard to say it.

But he couldn't hide it.

He shuddered, staring over at Anti, fearful of what would become of him.

No matter how much he hated Anti . . . . .

He didn't wish this on anyone. No matter if it was his fault or not.

He just did something horrible and he had to atone for it now.

Anti's dream faded very quickly, suspending him into a blank state in darkness.

He felt. . . .paralyzed. He couldn't move, trapped where he was in a complete black void.

He felt so . . . useless . . . disgusting. . . . . horrifying.

But he just had to remember. . . .

None of it actually happened.

Sean said so.

It was all just his creator's imagination.

He just had to remember that.

No matter how much this nightmare plagued him.

Suddenly Anti's heart rate picked up. He could hear something in the distance. Like something stalking him. Watching him suffer.

He could feel his own tears down his face but he wanted to yell. He wanted to shout and scream. Show whatever this was that he was boss. He was stronger and not to be messed with.

But the fear prickled under his skin.

His eyes widened in the darkness, trying to see whatever it was that was coming for him.

.

.

And then there was breathing in his ear.

"You can't be this stupid. . . . . You know the truth, Anti" he felt the smile clean on his cheek. The laugh huffing on his face.

The teeth scraping just lightly against his skin.

"Huh!" His muscles constricted and his lungs screamed for air.

He felt hands all over him. Words telling him things. He couldn't really hear or understand.

Anti felt something attached to his arm and finger. He heard a slight beeping noise in the distance.

And then a hand softly brushing through his hair.

"-sy there, Anti!" The voice sounded familiar.

"-ything will be alright, Anti. Just breathe"

"Open your eyes"

Then Anti realized that his eyes were indeed closed.

When he cracked them open, flinched at the bright light in the room.

'Where am I?' he thought to himself. He then looked around to see figures all around him. It was too bright, though, to properly tell who they were.

'Is this another nightmare? Are they going to hurt me?'

He felt something in his veins and flinched but the hand in his hair tried to soothe him.

"-rik, are you sure that's okay to do? Maybe we should get Dr. Iplier here to-"

"It's fine! I promise. . . He doesn't need anyone else's help. I can help him. I swear it! I can!"

Anti opened his eyes again but felt. . . . better this time. More. . . adrift.

When his vision fully came back to him, he looked up at the man above him.

Only to find that it was the doctor's hand in his hair, trying desperately to soothe him.

. . . Along with the morphine he just pumped into him.

"A-anti! Anti, are you alright? Can you hear me?"

The other Septic egos tried to peer around to see him but the doctor was more overbearing, trying to get him to at least speak.

"Anti, please . .. please just say something!" Henrik sounded so afraid.

"We need to call Sean and Evelien" Jackie shook his head, fearful, "Henrik, we have to-"

"No, we do not! Not until we know if anything is actually wrong vith him"

"CLEARLY something is wrong, Hen!" Chase shoved him, "He had a fucking SEIZURE!"

"Wh-what?" Anti whispered softly, "Wh-what happened?" his throat was kind of sore and he could barely put two and two together with the drug he just gave him.

Henrik rubbed his head again, "Anti . . Anti, you had a seizure. Do you feel alright? What are you feeling?"

"I. . . I don't know. I feel. . I feel good"

"Zhat is the morphine I gave you. You banged your head and clawed at your throat it seems, in your sleep. Are you in any pain?"

Anti shuddered, a little cold, "Don't . . Don't feel"

Henrik looked concerned but looked him up and down, "I didn't give you that much morphine. I'm gonna sit you up a little. Is zhat okay?"

"Is that a good idea?" Jackie asked, "Maybe he just needs some rest"

"No" Henrik shook his head, "I need to make sure he doesn't have a concussion first of all. Then I need to run some tests"

"Tests?" Anti blinked, "I'm . . . dizzy"

"Sit up for me, Anti" Henrik helped him up and put the hospital bed up for him.

Marvin shook his head, "He's not concussed, Hen . . . . I think something else's wrong."

"You don't know zhat"

"I can't . .. Don't feel"

Henrik gulped, "Don't . . feel? Anti, vhat do you-" he stopped and paled, "Shite"

He pulled the blanket off of Anti, ignoring that he was shivering and he saw something strange. Only his upper half was shivering.

"Anti . . . Tell me if you feel this"

"What's going on, Hen?" Chase growled, "What's-"

"This better not be what I think it is" Marvin seethed, "Fucking hell . . Anti" he bit his lip.

Jameson held his hands, looking worried. What was going on? What happened?

Henrik ignored their words and ran his hands on Anti's arm.

"Feel zhat?"

Anti nodded.

Henrik moved to his other arm, "Feel zhat?"

Anti nodded again.

He ran his finger on his stomach, "Zhat?"

"Mm-hm"

Then Henrik ran a finger on Anti's right foot, "Feel zhat?"

Anti furrowed his brow, "Feel what?"

Henrik held his breathe and moved his finger up Anti's shin and leg, "Vhat about that?"

Anti stared at him, his mind suddenly coming back to him full force, "N-no . . .W-what. . "

Henrik did the same to his other foot and leg but only got the same result.

Anti started to panic, his breathing picking up.

The others couldn't say anything though. Too shocked themselves to understand what the hell was going on.

Henrik shivered, himself. He knew now what had happened. What the drug had done to him.

"Anti . . . . I uh . . .." he looked to the others and finally nodded in defeat.

Henrik sighed heavily and shook his head.

"Ve need to call Sean now"
