Fighting Against the End

The Author had split himself in two, a part of him with Damien and his guest and the other with Anti and Sean in the other realm. Of course Sean was gone now and it was just Author and Anti.

The one with Anti smiled greedily at him, "You saw this happen that day. I had to do something, you know. I wanted to create the greatest story-"

Anti growled at him, "Y-you're not Host-"

"Of course I'm not! I'm better than him! I'm-"

"Author"

"THE Author to YOU!" The man wore a dark red and black flannel and jeans. He had a shorter haircut than he had ever seen on any Iplier. Like a younger version of Mark. With a mountain's worth of arrogance.

Anti stood his ground, "So what? . . . You've been . . . you've been controlling everyone this entire time?"

Author smiled, "Oh, not everyone. Certainly not. Just the egos. Mark doesn't even know and Host was always too cowardly to do anything to stop me. Sean merely gave in and as long as I didn't kill any of you . . . . I could do as I pleased. Make up any story with you that I wanted."

Anti swallowed, "Septiceye was-"

"Fake. . . .just a tool I used to mess with you all. Worked quite well, too, didn't it?"

"You're really fucked up, man, and that's saying something coming from me"

Author snorted, "Maybe. But at least I have control. I've tried everything, you know." he grinned wide, "The first time was giving you a 'disorder' of sorts. A story of bringing everyone together after a misunderstanding. The second time . . . I made you crazy. I madman who glitched back and forth from a torturer to a tame being. You were caged and so feral. The third time I made it so you had been the good guy all along but no one would trust you until the very end. The fourth time, you were the hardcore villain again intent on ruining their lives only to have a change in heart at the end. The FIFTH time, -"

"SHUT UP! Shut up! I get it, alright!? You've DONE this millions of times already!" Anti didn't want to hear all of it. How many times had he hurt his family?

But Author just smiled, "Almost done. . . the fifth time . . .I took away your memory and made YOU into the puppet. The sixth time, I crushed your soul and made you watch as a demon terrorized everyone you cared about. The seventh time was a dry spell on me. You were the villain minding your own business. Someone who was just lonely. Wasn't my best work. . . . . But NOW . . . the EIGTH time. . . ." he sighed to himself, "I gave you happy endings in all the previous works, you know. I thought it would. . . . satisfy me. I thought it would be a good ending to leave it on a high note. But every time, I tasted something sour in my mouth . . . I had to keep trying"

"I've never figured it out before?"

"No . . . . it's never come to this. Fourth-wall breaking, really. But now it's time this story ends, too. And I'll just have to keep trying"

Anti shook his head, "You'll never be satisfied"

Author glared at him and took a step closer, "Why do you say that?"

Anti just stared at him, "All writers get it . . . . don't they? But you can't just keep . . .hanging on to one story"

Author slapped him across the face, forcing him to stumble back, "DON'T YOU ACT LIKE YOU KNOW ANYTHING I'M GOING THROUGH! I'LL FINISH THIS STORY AND THEN THE NEXT ONE. . . . THE NEXT ONE WILL BE THE GREATEST!! IT'LL BE THE BEST!!"

"No it won't" Anti snarled, "You'll just keep doing this . . .over and over.. . . like a fooking addict. . . And I'd know all about that. . .wouldn't I?"

Author huffed and fixed the cuffs on his shirt, "Whatever. Doesn't matter. One thought. . . one narration and you won't remember a thing. You'll wake up in the morning with completely different memories just like everyone else"

"Must be lonely"

Author glared at the man standing with Damien, "What do you know about lonely . . . . always huddled in a corner of your free will . . . never brave enough to stop anything from happening"

"You've never killed the children before . . . .or animals. You've never hurt them this much before. . . . . . . .. I don't know what kind of story you're trying to make . . . but you've gone too far, my brother"

"I am NOT your brother! You CHOSE your family! You chose your side! We could have worked together on the greatest story and yet you chose-"

"I chose a family" Host sighed, "And you scorned me for it . . I should have ended you when I had the chance."

"You hesitated"

"And I lost my eyes because of it" Host agreed, "But I still see your pain. I see everyone's pain. I'm not blind to it. I think that's why I'm I better story-teller than you"

"WHAT!?"

"Because I've felt their pain. . . .I understand it and can relate to it. Therefore I convey it better."

Damien felt lost being there with the two of them now but stayed out of their quarrel. He didn't have any power between them anyway.

"Funny coming from the man who didn't even know his own brother had been controlling him, too. You know I was going to make YOU take the blame"

"I know . . . that's why I said . . . . . it must be lonely . . . ."

Author glared at Host, his eyes turning to pure rage as he continued.

"To have no one at your side and pretend that the world will gratify you for your 'accomplishments'. . . . It's like a journal that only you can read. You're crying out for help but you won't let anyone in"

"The Author was in fury at Host's words. He'd get him to shut up one way or another. Suddenly Darkiplier appeared in the room with them all seemingly confused and terrified at how he got there"

Just as he said, Dark appeared in the room and stumbled, looking around as if he were jolted from something important, "The hell is going on? H-Host!? DAMIEN!?"

"Damien's hand reached out and used his aura to suspend Dark into the air, rendering him powerless"

"Author, no!" Host tried to stop him but Damien did as was narrated and Dark glanced to Host pleadingly.

"The Author smirked at the display, knowing Host wouldn't do anything about it. He was too much of a coward just like the last time they fought. He knew what would happen to him otherwise"

Host shuddered, his eyes behind the blindfold bleeding some from the stress that was happening. Usually he was extremely calm but Author had the same abilities as him. Plus he had been using them far more and was more practiced.

"S-stop. . ."

"Then do it" Anti called his bluff, "Do it and redo everything right now. Probably gonna be better than what I'm living with now, right? Or are you planning worse for me? Why. . . why is it always me?"

"Because they love you" Author smirked, "And what better way to get views on something than to hurt the thing they love the most?"

"What views!? Are you insane!?"

Before Author could answer, there was a shout upstairs.

"Ah" he smiled, "I see my dear puppet has taken back Mr. Jameson"

"I thought Septiceye was gone!" Anti's heart raced as he thought about what could be happening now.

'Jameson was here!? Why the hell was HE here!? I didn't expect. . .' Anti tried to run off to find Jameson.

"The Author stopped Anti in his tracks, rendering him unable to move, frozen in time"

Just as Author had said, Anti froze in place, unable to move, 'Dammit, no!'

"Relax" The Author chuckled, coming closer to Anti up to his ear, "It'll all be over soon. And then you'll be taken back to your stupid life into my great story. . . . where I'll make you the main character forever and forever . . . doesn't that sound great?"

Anti tried hard to fight against him but nothing worked! He really was stuck.

Jameson stared back at Septiceye who smiled wide at him but he wasn't taking any chances and bolted out the door.

"Hey where you going, puppet?! GET BACK HERE!!"

But Jameson just ran. He couldn't think of anything else to do. He refused to be controlled by this monster again!

But Jameson soon learned that he wasn't alone and suddenly Marvin was at his side, "James! I was wondering where you'd went! What are we running from!?" he looked behind them to see Septiceye glitching closer and closer, eyes pitch black with snarling teeth like a wild beast ready to feast on its kill.

"Oh! That! Dammit, I thought I killed him back in my fucking room!! AGAIN!" Marvin grabbed Jameson's hand and ran faster, throwing spells mindlessly behind him at the thing that supposedly did nothing.

The two of them bolted down the stairs with him hot on their tail only to run into Henrik who was just coming up the basement stairs!

"Vhat the hell is going-"

Marvin just grabbed him, making him run with him, "Don't ask questions! Just run!"

"GET BACK HERE FUCKING PUPPETS!"

Suddenly a shot rang out and Septiceye fell backward, stunned.

Marvin, Henrik and Jameson stopped running to see Chase with his gun pointed right at the monster.

Chase looked like he had better days, though, "I thought this place was supposed to be our individual memories! The hell is going on!?"

"I don't know" Marvin led Jameson and Henrik to Chase, standing in front of them as Septiceye ripped the bullet out of his chest.

He flicked it off onto the floor, "Thought that could kill me? I'm invincible. Eternal . . . you can't-"

'Turtle?' Jameson signed.

Septiceye glared at him, ". . . WHAT . .. did you just say?"

Jameson figured if he was going to die anyway . . . he might as well get some laughs in, 'You . .. you're a turtle?'

Septicye seemed to fume at that, "NO! Fucking idiot! I said ETERNAL! I AM ETERNAL!" He glitched rapidly with lightening surrounding him, "I'm done with this play! You're all fucking dead! You're dead! I'll fucking KILL YO-"

Out of nowhere, Jackie came to the rescue and punched Septiceye clean in the jaw, making him fall back hard to the ground.

"Jackie! You're here, too!" Marvin celebrated, "We're all here!" he frowned slightly, "Then that means. . . wait, where's Dark? And Anti? Shouldn't he be here, too?"

Septiceye forced himself up quickly and lunged to Jackie only for Marvin to stop him and flung him towards a wall, cracking it. But now . . now Marvin was out of breathe. He couldn't do much more now after all of that.

Jackie was huffing, too, "You guys haven't seen them?"

Chase shook his head, still holding the gun up, "I guess we're stuck here" he fully believed he'd die there then, today. This was how he'd die. By a sick fake copy of Anti. He only regretted not being able to find the real one. They all did.

They all wished they could just be able to tell him.

Septiceye stood back up, shaking off the debris, "You'll all pay for that . . . . . . And here, I was thinking about sparing you bitches a painful death!"

He was ready to kill. They all could feel it.

This was it.

Anti fought against Author's power over him. This couldn't be it.

'This can't be it. . . not again. I refuse!'

"Just one snap of my fingers and they'll be dead . .. and then I'll kill you and we can all just start over again. Not that you'll know. I've never done this before, though. It's interesting. I've never killed you all off before restarting. It's the first bad ending I've ever done."

Author smirked, "But for some reason . . . it feels almost right . . . oh well . . . .. we'll get here eventually. Do you want to see their last moments before I do it? Oh of course you do! Let's watch and see"

Author put his hand on the back of Anti's head and suddenly, he could see through Septiceye's eyes.

He hated it.

Hated every millisecond of it!

Anti watched though as Septiceye laughed at the Septic egos. He was about to go in for the kill.

Anti, just for a moment thought to himself that maybe this was for the best.

Then maybe they could just start all over. It may to to Author's rule and he may forget all about it . . .. but he'd rather that be the case than to watch them all die.

"Just like the kids did" Author chuckled, "I must admit it was a first for me . .. but I'm thinking maybe I could do it again . .. upfront this time"

Just the thought of seeing Chase in pain like that again. Seeing and hearing Henrik like that again. And for HIM to be the culprit. . . . .

Anti's body shuddered and a soft spark left his body.

Septiceye was closing in, "It'll just hurt for a moment . . . . and then eternity" he promised them the same thing Author was.

The fear in their eyes. The clear defeat and sorrow. Holding each other together like a true family.

Anti only got to remember a taste of it.

His body sparked again and Author narrowed his eyes, feeling it, "What are you doing? You can't escape so why even try? Watch them die with dignity"

"N-no" Anti growled at him, "I. . I won't!"

He managed to take a step, lightning flickering around him.

Author blinked, a little astonished, really but scoffed, "Author held Anti tight, making him watch as Septiceye was about to kill his family. Anti was so distraught, he couldn't move. He couldn't do anything but just WATCH it all happen!"

" . . . .. No! No, I didn't!" Anti fought against it, still and suddenly slapped Author's hand off of him, "ANTISEPTICEYE . . . M̵̯̟͛͂A̴̳̗̒̀D̵̗̣́Ę̷̿ ̴͕̈͐H̴̬̍͝I̸̗̾S̶͇͚̓̓ ̷̨̱̑̕Ȯ̸̡̳̇W̵̫̓̋Ṉ̸͈͘ ̵͓́Ḍ̵͔̔A̷̙̺͗̔M̸̘͔͌͛N̷̡̙̂̚ ̵͔̊͆C̴̳͕͐H̴̲̦́O̷̗͐̍I̵̛̮͇Ć̷̩Ȅ̶̲S̵̛̬!"

Septiceye was just about to electrocute them all when Anti glitched in front of him, stopping him. They held their fists together just like the last time but this time was different.

This time, Anti held NO REMORSE in him. He had NO means of weakness or hesitation.

Septiceye couldn't even say a word as Anti obliterated him. Again.

For the last fucking time.

Anti breathed out huffs of air, his lungs trying hard to keep working.

'I did it. . . . ' he didn't know it was worthless though, really.

'Clap!' 'Clap!' 'Clap!'

The others couldn't even acknowledge Anti's presence yet. They were too shocked at what just happened in front of them.

The clapping sound brought them all back to reality. Or as close to it as they could.

Author clapped as he came into the living room, "Well done. Well done, Anti."

"Anti?" Jackie asked, coming up closer to him along with the others, "Who is that guy?"

Author bowed his head, "I'm the Author. And it's time you all perished, I'm afraid. I've REALLY had enough of you all for now. You know I can just bring your little demon back, right?"

Anti growled at him, "Why not just be a man and do it yourself?"

"The last time I intervened physically was when I gauged out my brother's eyes and beat him with a baseball bat. You really want to challenge me?"

Anti stood defensively, "I'll do all that I can . . . . to stop you"

"You're a fool"

"And you're a monster"

Author scowled, "No. . . . you were always the monster. You always WILL be. I'll make SURE of it, too"

"With one last narration, Author began to put this story to its close. It was time to end this book."

Suddenly they all felt a strange weight on them and Anti found he couldn't move but stood in front of his brothers without fear.

"Anti?" Chase took his shoulder, "I'm sorry"

The others slowly put their hands on him, too, mimicking Chase's words. They all felt the same.

They knew there was nothing they could do now.

"The Author bid them a good fight but this time there would be no fourth-wall breaking. He'd make sure of it. The Author gazed at them all one last time. There was just one last page. One last sentence"

Anti finally conceded and closed his eyes in defeat, leaning back to his brothers' for support.

'This is it'

Host scowled angrily. He had enough of this.

No longer would he watch from the sidelines.

He couldn't do it anymore.

He couldn't let it happen.

"Host reached up and took off his blindfold carefully, revealing his marred eyes that the Author had created."

Author snapped his gaze to look at him, momentarily breaking his thoughts of keeping Damien and Dark frozen AND all the Septics in the other realm.

"What are you doing? You KNOW you can't!-"

"The Host flung the blindfold the the ground. This story wasn't over and he'd be damn sure to make sure it wasn't. He was ready to throw his brother to the side. He knew he couldn't just let this go on anymore."

Author's eyes widened, "No! You wouldn't! Stop it! Shut up! The Author shouted for Host to shut up, making the man-"

"Making the man infuriated to think that Author could control HIM of all people! THE HOST WAS DONE! THIS WAS IT! THIS WAS THE END OF THE AUTHOR AND SICK STORY! HE'D NO LONGER HURT ANYONE EVER AGAIN BECAUSE . . . ."

Author stared wordlessly at Host, not thinking he could actually do what he thought he was planning on doing. He couldn't. No, he was too much of a coward! He could never alter the story!

He never has before! Why now!?

"Because the Author had gone too far, the Host finished his sentence. The Author . . . . would never hurt or torment anyone ever again. He wouldn't meddle in their lives. Because this was it for him. The Host was saddened that it had to come this far."

"N-no. . . NO, WAIT!" The Author tried to stop him, "I can change! Don't do it! I can-"

"The Host waved his hand and in that instant, the Author was erased to nothing"

.

.

.

.

And just like that he wasn't there.

As was in the other mirror realm with the Septics. . . he wasn't there either.

Everyone else took a hefty breathe as they all felt that heavy weight lift off of them. They were no longer in danger.

The story hadn't ended, though . . . . it was just . . . .

Being edited.

Did anyone catch the Easter eggs? :) If not, let me know and I'll tell you lol
Also it's not over yet! Things are still messed up from Author's intervention!
