Kenny's POV:

Today was the day that we can finally tell our families about the baby as I stood in the bathroom, in front of the mirror, trimming my moustache and beard. I hear Dolly shuffling around in the room as I could not help but smile.

"I can't find anything to wear." I hear Dolly as I chuckle.

"You can always wear your pajamas dear."

"Oh real funny... I'm not that kinda person, pregnant or not. I do not have time for this today, help me or no lovin' from now on." She stood there with her hands on her hips.

"Baby doll, we both know how you give into me." I said as I look at her her, then back in the mirror, cleaning up any shabiness since I last shaved.

"Oh yeah?" She said as she stepped in front of me and kissed my lips as she got a kiss full of shaving cream.

"Need help my dear?" I asked her as her little bare hands smoothed up and down my chest as my shirt was half way opened.

"What could you possibly do for little 'ol me?"

"I could do a lot for you baby doll." I said as we started kissing as she wrapped her little legs around my waist.

"Show me." She smiled.

"I could, but our families are almost here. I don't want anyone to walk in on us."

"This time I just can't help myself because you're just too damn irresistible to me." She said as I kissed her again.

"You're the same way to babe, but c'mon, I bet you have something that you could wear." I said as he wiped his face with a towel and pulled me into our room to find me something to wear.

Dolly's POV:

I was in the kitchen, arranging a fruit tray when the doorbell rang as I quickly put it on the table as I looked in the mirror to fix my hair and makeup as I opened my door up to reveal my family.

"Dolly, Dolly, Dolly!" They cheered as they hugged me as each of them came in.

"So, what's the surprise?" My sister Cassie asked.

"No surprise, we just wanted to have dinner, that's all." I said as I smiled.

"Mhmm... You're up to something Dolly. You always are, you can't fool us." Her sister Rachel and Willadeene.

"Well, make yourselves comfortable and Kenny's family will be here anytime now." I said as I turned around to go into the kitchen.

"Okay, she's definitely got something up her sleeve." My sister Stella said.

"Ya think?" Freida said

I went back into the kitchen to see my husband testing the temperature of the soup.

"How is it?" I asked him.

"Fine dear." He said.

"I'm nervous." I said as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Don't be baby doll, we've been waiting for so long to do this and I know our families will be thrilled to have another addition added to our bunch." Kenny said as he kissed my lips and I smiled.

"You're right."

"I always am."

"No you're not." I said as I sauntered back into the living room as the doorbell rang once again as Kenny answered it.

"Hello son." Kenny's father said as he hugged him.

"Hello dad.''

"Dolly, you're glowing dear!" Kenny's mom told me as I smiled.

"She probably went tanning mama." His brother said

"Oh no, I'm glowing for a different reason."

"Well, I want to know all your secrets."

"How 'bout all that botox she has had injected into her." His sister remarked.

"I would say it's because of that but I'm afraid that this time, that ain't it." I said as I huffed at that comment.

"Then what is it?'' Someone asked

"Why are we here?" Another person asked.

"Is it too much to ask for everyone to be here?" I questioned them.

Everyone stared at us as they all looked confused.

"Dolly, what's going on?'' My mama asked.

"We'll tell you during dinner. Now, please make your way into the dining room." Kenny said as put his arm around me.

"Can I see you in the kitchen please dear?" I asked as he followed me.

We went into the kitchen as I teared up.

"It must be all that botox she's had." I said as I mocked his sister's voice.

"Honey?" Kenny wrapped his arms around me and placed his hands on my stomach.

"Let's just go tell them."

"Okay. I will get the soup and bread."

"I'll get the salad and tea pitcher."

"And by the way, I think you look beautiful today." He said as he kisses me.

My heart melts as he kisses me and I could just stare at him forever, but we need to go tell our families before another senseless comment gets made.

...

As dinner proceeds, I am sitting at the end of the table, my mama is on the right side of me and my daddy on the left as I wanted to keep as far away from his sister as possible.

"So, what's new Kenny?"

"I'm about to put a new album out."

"I heard you were singing a duet with Sheena Easton." His sister smiles as she threw me a glance.

"Yes he his and so am I." I said as glances of tension were being passed around.

"Dinner was wonderful baby." My mama said.

"The bread was a little bitter." His sister retorted.

"Okay. Everyone, we have something to tell you."

Everyone's focus were on us now as I stood up with him.

Kenny's POV:

"Do we have everyone's attention?" I asked as Dolly beamed.

"Yes!" Everyone said in unison.

"The reason why we invited y'all here tonight is because we have a very exciting announcement to make." I said

"You're divorcing her?" His sister piped up.

"Ya know? There's a very special place for little twits like you and so, let my sister talk or you'll be my shooting target next time."

"Now, everyone settle down.'' I said.

"We are dear, now tell us your exciting news."

"You ready?"

"As I'll ever be."

"Everyone, we're pregnant!" We both said as some blinked, some just stared with their jaws hung and one spit out their tea by accident.

"Oh my God! We're goin' to be aunts!" Her sisters hugged us.

"I know!" Dolly said excitedly.

"Aww! My baby is goin' to be a mama!" Her mother said as we all beamed with excitement.

"We need to start planning."

"Well, we still have quite a bit of time before we need to start planning because I have a lot of ideas and y'all would be the first to know about everything."

"So, when is your next doctor's appointment?"

"In a couple of weeks. You can't really tell I'm showing, but I have a tiny baby bump."

"Well, you're glowing dear."

"You know that old wives tale, if you're glowin', you're gonna have a boy." Rachel said

"I have decided that a boy or girl is fine. I'm happy and I hope some people respect me to understand that." Dolly said as she shot a warning glare to my sister.

"She'll just be another tabloid topic."

"Do you have to be this way?"

"What's it to you?"

"She's our sister-in-law and you're bein' foul to her."

"All I'm sayin' is what if this ruins her career?"

"It won't. Our fans will be over the moon to know that I'm having a baby."

"Now, what do you have to say?"

"Good luck!"

"Thank you dear." She said as I wrapped my arm around her.

"Let's toast!" Stella said

"What are we supposed to say?" Rachel asked

"To Baby Rogers."

''Actually, Baby Parton-Rogers." Dolly corrected.

"Alright, let's toast on three, let's say Baby Parton-Rogers." Everyone raised their glasses.

"One, two, three. Baby Parton-Rogers!" Everyone clinked glasses and we celebrated.

Dolly's POV:

Later on that night,

We laid in bed and we read together as Dolly's head was on my chest.

"So, the woman finally gets what she wanted in the end."

"Yeah.''

"Just like I did."

"I got what I wanted to."

"Then, we're blessed."

"The gambler always gets what he wants."

"Ya wanna show me again how you hold 'em?"

"You hold them by placing your hands very gently, by the sides and the bottom."

"Mhmm... What else?" Dolly said as he kissed her.

"Then if you win, you get the prize at the very end."

"What kind of prize?" I hoped this was working.

"A beautiful surprise, one you could not even imagine."

"I like that surprise."

"I do too because mine happens to be laying here under me with another little gift on the way."

"Everyone seemed happy today. Except, your sister."

"No one ever pays attention to what comes out of her mouth."

"I did."

"She's just jealous because she's never been married or had kids.''

"I can see why."

"Anyway, we're gonna have this baby no matter what and I have always got your back babe."

"That you do and so do I dear."

"Now, what if we cuddle."

"Sounds like a plan." I say as I laid my head back on his chest and we turned out the lights.

I drifted off to sleep with him as I felt complete with him. God, I love this man. He's the one I have prayed for after all these years. He will be a great father, that I have no doubt of.
