A few weeks later, Conway and Loretta decided to see if Lisa would like Kenny and Dolly while they babysat to give her sisters a break as they thanked them for it. Dolly was very experienced on babysitting as she did that quite often with her brothers and sisters growing up, plus she also cared for her nieces and nephews from time to time.

They told them to bring Lisa on over whenever they wanted to as Loretta gave Dolly the title of the fairy godmother, in addition to Dolly as she loved being able to spoil the kids whenever she wanted to.

Around eleven o'clock that morning, they got a knock on the door, followed by a little one as Dolly knew it was them as she opened the door.

"Well hello." Dolly said as Lisa immediately wanted to be held by Dolly as Loretta smiled.

"Aunt Dolly!" Lisa clapped as Dolly laughed.

"Aww baby. Are you excited 'bout today?" Dolly asked.

"Yeah." Lisa said.

"She's been lookin' forward to it and the girls appreciate this." Loretta's said.

"Aww honey, l always wanted to babysit her since you first let me hold her at the hospital."

"Goodness! She's almost four and that feels so long ago."

"Well, they grow up rather fast and I keep growing."

"I know! You finally have a formed baby bump that's noticeable." Loretta said as she touched her stomach.

"Kenny thinks we're having a boy."

"That's 'cause I have intuition." He said coming over to stand by his wife.

"I think you're havin' a girl, so don't worry yourselves too much."

"We won't."

"Well, I gotta get back home and get ready for my date night because Conway wants to go somewhere new."

"Well okay, y'all have fun."

"We will and you, be good for Aunt Dolly and Uncle Kenny." Loretta said as Lisa smiled.

"Oh she will honey, don't you worry about that." Dolly said.

"Bye mommy." Lisa waved.

"Bye baby." Loretta said as she kissed her on the cheek and walked to her car and left.

Dolly closed the door and put Lisa down to let her roam and get familiar with the place.

"Doggies?" Lisa questioned.

"Yes baby, we have doggies." Dolly said as Popeye and Lola came up to Lisa as she went to pet them.

She petted them as she started laughing as Kenny walked up to Dolly and kissed her.

"Why do y'all kiss? Y'all are not my mommy and daddy."

"Well honey, when two people love each other very much, they kiss." Dolly said as she sat down in the floor.

"You're pretty!" Lisa said as she touched Dolly's face.

"Thank you sweetheart, I agree!" Kenny said as Dolly blushed.

"Just like my mommy."

"You're mommy is prettier than I am sweetie, now what do you say we prepare something to eat." Dolly said as she got up from the floor.

"I'll do it baby doll. Now, what would you ladies like to eat?"

"How about some spaghetti Lisa, would you like that?"

"Yeah!" She grinned happily.

"Is this for you or the baby?"

"I'm craving it. Have been since we went to bed last night."

"Alright, off I go." He said as he went into the kitchen to make lunch.

As Lisa and Dolly were playing with her dolls, Lisa puts her hands on Dolly's stomach.

"Did mommy tell you about the baby?"

"Yeah. I want you to have a girl Aunt Dolly."

"Well, it's not up to me baby."

"Do you want a girl?"

"I do, but I will be happy with a little boy too."

"Boys are stinky Aunt Dolly."

"They are, aren't they?"

"Yeah."

Dolly smiled as Lisa's light blonde curls shined in the natural light through the window as they were pinned up with a hair tie and hair bow.

She looked like Loretta all the way with a couple of Conway's features as she started daydreaming about what her baby will look like. She just hoped that one day she could be just as motherly as Loretta was.

She drifted back to reality as Lisa was coloring in her coloring book as Dolly decided to go check on lunch.

She made her way into the kitchen to see him turned around as she smiled. She went up and wrapped her arms around him as he turned his head.

"Smells great!"

"Where's Lisa?"

"In the living room, coloring."

"Lunch is almost done."

"I know, but I wish it would hurry up because I'm starving."

"I know all too well dear." Kenny said as he caressed her stomach.

"Lisa's so excited about the baby. She told me she wants a girl."

"Which do you want first?"

"I would like to have a little girl, but a boy too. It's so hard for me to pick. What about you honey?"

"I'm just like you. It's hard to decide, but it's not up to us."

"I know, but it's so hard not to get excited about which gender we're goin' to have."

"We'll find out soon."

"And I can't wait!"

"Me neither."

"Lunch is ready, so go get Lisa."

She went and got Lisa as she was happy to be having lunch.

"Mommy makes this too." Lisa said as they smiled as she scooped up a forkful.

"Is it good?"

"Yeah." Lisa said as she watched Dolly.

"Aunt Dolly, what's the baby's name?"

"We're still workin' on that baby, but we'll figure that out soon." Dolly said as she finished as she started feeling sleepy.

"Are you okay babe?"

"Just tired."

"Aunt Dolly, can I lay down with you?" Lisa asked

"Sure baby, come on." Dolly said as she put Lisa on her hip and carried her upstairs.

They laid down and dozed off as Kenny looked in to see Lisa curled up to Dolly as they both looked like precious angels.

He was downstairs in the kitchen as a knock came to the door. It was Judy.

"Hey there!" He said

"Hey! Is Dolly asleep?"

"Yes she is. We're also babysitting Lisa Marie."

"Aww... Well, that gives y'all some experience before the baby comes."

"Yeah. Conway and Loretta decided to have a date night and we asked if we could babysit for them."

"The reason I came over was because of your tour in two months. Since your record hit the top ten in the charts, they asked me to come over and ask you if you wanted to tour."

"Is it optional?"

"Yes."

"I don't want to tour, I need to be here with Dolly, unless we can make dates here and close to home and I know she wants to come with me but I want to stay home."

"She may want to do that. She'll be up here in a little while because Loretta will be here soon to get Lisa."

"Well, y'all call me when you decide on what to do."

"We will. We just want to be home for a little while more, especially with Dolly gettin' sick all the time."

"Well, I'll be in touch and see y'all later." Judy said as Kenny walked her to the door.

"Okay and you too." Kenny said as he opened the door and she walked and left.

A couple of hours later, Dolly woke up to see a slumbering, peaceful Lisa Marie cuddled into her side as she just stared at her the best she could due to the room being dark, which was how she preferred it when she was asleep.

She thought about her own growing baby inside her stomach as she started thinking about how much her life would change and what it would be like to hear baby giggles. Just being a mama felt like she accomplished the one goal she had in her life, other than being a singer and a wife. She was over the moon still about being pregnant as she rested her hand on her stomach.

She was happier than she had been in a long time as it still felt surreal that she was going to be a mama. Her emotions sometimes still overpowered one another, but still, she was happy and she could not wait for her little bundle of joy to arrive. She loved holding babies close to her as if they were hers, just like she told Loretta earlier, she held Lisa Marie after Conway and Loretta had held her as she sung her lullabies and fed her with a bottle that the hospital had provided. She was happy to be a fairy godmother for her nieces and nephews and Lisa Marie.

...

Loretta had arrived around nine o'clock that night as she knocked on their door. Kenny answered it as she beamed with that bright smile of hers as Lisa Marie's laugh could be heard.

"Lisa Marie, mommy's here."

"Mommy!" Lisa Marie came running as she immediately wanted to be picked up.

"Did you have a good time with Aunt Dolly and Uncle Kenny?"

"Yeah!"

"Good. How's Dolly?"

"She's fine. She had another round of morning sickness earlier today, but she's resting now."

"I know how that feels." Loretta said as she tickled Lisa.

"Well, I'll let you get on home and thank you for letting us babysit Lisa."

"You're welcome honey and I'll give her a bath and put her to bed since she already had dinner." Loretta said

"Okay then, you have a good night."

"You too." Loretta said as she carried Lisa to her car and they left as Kenny went upstairs to join Dolly.

Kenny was in a deep sleep when Dolly started mumbling.

"I love you baby."

"I love you too baby doll. My little angels."

He caressed her stomach and wondered what their baby will look like, maybe him or her, just as long as he or she is born healthy then they'd be content.

He sure did love his beautiful angel and surely this will give her more of a chance to take things more steady and easy than what her crazy life was used to.

He loved her to no extent and hoped and prayed that their baby would be okay in months to come.
