Evan is a socially awkward boy. He is oblivious to most social cues and doesn't really understand why people make fun of him. He is ultimately book smart, excelling in his studies which tend to be honors and AP level courses. Evan is a loner due to the fact that he doesn't know how to make friends; always eats alone, picked last for group projects, sits alone in most classes, and the last person to be chosen for a partner.

Background:

For all of Evan's life, it's been him, his older brother Tyler and his mother. He never knew who his father was and hardly knows much about him. School has been his obvious place of success, while he failed socially. It had been determined that Evan has a case of Asperger's, which leaves him socially clueless. He lacked friends his entire life, only having strong relationships with his mother, brother, and some teachers. This also made him a source of bullying, which he endured from 8th grade all the way to his senior year of high school.
