True Chapter One
G. . . That was their new name. . . Well, it's not really new. They had been here for months already, after all. That didn't mean they had come to terms with their. . . Situation. About 9 months ago, they had woken up in their present body. The results had been. . . Disastrous to say the least. To make a long story short, they had been admitted to a mental hospital for everyone's safety.
The hospital. . . Well, G would never willing ever go there again. However, they had been able to get their name 'cleared', so to say. The Government was gonna charge them when they got out, however their diagnosis as amnesiac gave them safety, as it was an emotional response to an outstanding amount of distress they had been in.
After they had been released from the hospital, 'G' had been stuck with what they could only describe as an adult babysitter. Or a 'social worker' as they insisted they were. It wasn't all bad, as they ended up getting a monthly sum of money each month to 'help them as they get onto their feed' as the social worker insisted. That didn't make the realization that they were basically being treated as a child any better though.
Through the last 9 months they had slowly put together some of their bodies past. It seemed like they had been in. . . What could only really be deep depression, addiction, or quite possibly both. It also seemed like they had many. . . Intimate relationships. . . And had burned the bridges quite badly. At least that's what they could tell from the phone they were given.
The only good thing that seemed to happen, was that they had managed to make a couple of friends who accepted him, 'amnesiac', freaky species switching, and all. They didn't seem to care that they could turn from a human being to a strange magic weilding skeleton, and he was honestly greatful for it.
All of it leads to now, with 'G' finally moving into their own apartment, being cleared to live on his own without any roommates. His friends, Matt, Ryan, and Suzy, had all agreed to help him move so it was pretty easy. G now had their very own place!

'G' Pov
I sighed in relief as we finally got all the boxes in my now 1 bedroom apartment. It had been 9 months since I woke up in my new body, and this was the first time I've finally been able to be on my own. Since I was forced to play the amnesia card, I wasn't allowed to live on my own before now, out of precaution or something I guess?
I wasn't really listening when it was explained to me to be honest. I was more put out that yet again, I wouldn't have total privacy. The only good thing that came from having a roommate, was that it was how I met Suzy, who ended up introducing me to Matt and Ryan.
Shaking my head, I turned to the 3 humans who I've grown to call my friends the last 9 or so months, "Well, that's everything." Immediately Matt collapsed with an exaggerated "Thank God!" as Ryan and Suzy simply nodded. "I'm gonna miss bunking with you, but at least we live close by" Suzy sent me a grin as she playfully hit my shoulder, causing me to chuckle.
Ryan rolled his eyes but I could see the smile pulling at his lips. I wasn't the only one who spotted our normally cold friends smile either, "Is that a smile- oh my God it is~ Guys look!" "Shut up Matt, I'm not smiling." Two guesses on who said what. Suzy and I watched as the boys started to argue, glancing at each other in the process.
Suzy got a mischievous look in her eyes as she turned back to the boys, "Girls, you're both pretty, now kiss and make up already~" Immediately I snorted as Ryan and Matt both turned red and started to sputter. They tried to insist that not only were they males, but that they also weren't gay... which I call bullshit on. I couldn't stop my snickers as Suzy laughed at their denial.
I always wondered why they denied it, and I had a strong suspension it was because their families may be homophobic or religious, but I never asked. I didn't wanna bring up potentially uncomfortable topics, and it wasn't really my business. Besides, time with friends is supposed to be fun, and a time to feel safe, so I kept my suspicions to myself.
As Suzy continued to tease Ryan and Matt, I glanced at the clock to check the time. I was surprised to see it was nearing 8pm already, "As nice as this is, it's almost 8pm. So unless we're having a sleepover, you 3 need to head home." After the trio checked the time, they all nodded and started to get ready to leave.
"Drive safe you three, and make sure to text me when you get home!" I gave them all the 'motherhen glare' as they started to call it. "Yes Mother dear~", "I will.", "Sure, text ya later G!" 3 guesses on who said what. I shook my head and sighed as I watched them all leave before making my way to the bedroom to set up my bed so I myself would be able to go to sleep once I received the texts. By the time I set my bed up, I had received all 3 texts and proceeded to pass out. Sleep has never felt so good...
