CASEY'S POV

I waited at the hospital with my mom who was the most comforting person. She found out what happened and decided to come with me to the hospital while Layla watched Wren and Dylan. They would probably go right to sleep with all the walking all over the neighborhood.

"Honey, do you think we should go home and come back in the morning? I'm sure he won't be leaving anytime soon." My mom said rubbing my back.

I sighed and shrugged my shoulders. We had been there for 3 hours almost. I didn't know if I should leave or stay. I knew I had school the next day so I made my decision to leave with my mom.

I didn't get much sleep when I got back home. I tossed and turned in bed all night. All I could think about was everything that happened. I thought about the loud noise I heard from my bedroom. Then, the cars smashed with glass everywhere. It was hard to not get cut with only slippers on.

The green mustang was completely destroyed in the front. Then, I saw his bruised and bloody face. There was a lot of blood, but the biggest thing stuck in my head was his words. Your words and those blue eyes matched with that smile. Even when you were in pain you smiled and tried to flirt.

The next morning I woke up with only 3 hours of sleep. I was tired, but I managed to wake up with a cold shower and hide the bags under my eyes with a little bit of make up.

I wasn't the most popular girl in school. I was the girl who knew everyone, but was only close to two or three people. I wasn't popular, but I wasn't an out cast. I was just tried to be me while focusing on my future.

I got on the bus and almost fell asleep on the way there. I didn't have many friends on the bus I rode so I stayed quiet either thinking while looking out the window or on my phone listening to music.

I skipped my locker that day and headed straight to my home base class. I didn't talk that much to any of my friends. They asked what was wrong, but a good fake smile and an 'I'm fine' made them believe me.

The whole day was like that until lunch time when I got to see Lily. She was already sitting at our seat and eating talking to a guy who I haven't seen before. I got my food and sit down next to her. I didn't have much of an appetite though so I only ate a few fries and stopped.

Lily looked over at me and furrowed her brows, "Are you sick cause you usually finish lunch 10 minutes before lunch is over."

I rolled my eyes, "I'm just not very hungry today." I explain.

"Okay what's wrong?" She asks.

I sigh, "Nothing is wrong Lily."

"Bullshit. Now either you confess or I will tickle it out of you right here right now."

I gasp, "You wouldn't. You know how ticklish I am."

She grins evilly, "Exactly."

I glared at her, "Fine. I sort of saw a big car accident happen right in front of my house. I talked to the one guy while waiting for the ambulance. He told me I was his lucky charm and I sort of blushed. Now he's in the hospital and my mom and I waited. So I didn't get much sleep last night hence the bags under my eyes. I also can't get over his smile and him saying my name and telling me I was his lucky charm." I say all at once and took a deep breath once I was done.

Lily's mouth opened in shock and it was silent for a while, "So, was he cute?" She finally asked.

I rolled my eyes, "Of course."

She nodded her head, "How old is he?"

I shrugged my shoulders, "I don't know but he looked like between 18 and 20."

"Okay so older guy gets into a car accident by your house. He calls you his lucky charm and now he's at the hospital and you don't know if he is dead or alive?"

I gasp, "Don't say that! He's alive!"

"Okay fine, he's alive. How come you don't go see him?"

"I was planning to after school, but I don't know what to say."

She rolls her eyes, "You'll be fine. Go see super hot older guy who's dying."

I glare at her, "He is not dying!"

She sighs, "Okay, but still you should go see him."

I sighed, "Okay."

She grinned at me, "That's the spirit!"

After school I sucked it up and found myself standing in front of a nurse, "I'm looking for a guy who got in here last night from a car crash. He's about 18 to 20. Brown hair and blue eyes."

The nurses eyes widened, "Are You Casey?" She asks.

My eyes widened at her, "Yes, but how do you know my name?"

She rolled her eyes, "That boy has been asking for you all day. You do look a like he described you as."

My eyes widened, "He has been talking about me?"

She nods her head, "All day. Now all you have to do is sign here and then go down that hall to room 354."

I nodded my head and signed the paper. I grabbed my phone from where I sat it down on the counter when I signed and followed her directions.

I walked slowly trying to control my nerves. When I got to the door my nerves all came back twice as hard.

I knocked on the door followed by him shouting, "Come in."

I opened the door to see him laying in the bed. His body looked pretty bad and banged but once he turned to me and grinned wide I melted.

"My lucky charm."
