Fresh air

Lance threw a ball he found against a wall boredly as he leaned against the bed as Lotor worked on his papers. He threw the ball harder boredly but cried out when it came back at and almost hit him in the face but he put his hand up in defense but sparks grew from his finger tips and made the ball explode.

Lotor looked up immediately hearing it and looked at lance confused leaning on his chair.

"What did you do?" Lotor asked flatly.

"Um not sure?" Lance looked at his hand wide eyes.

"So like um.. when you said I died and shit with quintessents and all, um did the doctor say there were side effects?" Lance asked in a slightly higher voice getting up.

"There was no doctor," Lotor raised an eye brow.

"It's a metaphor," lance snorted.

"Your mother was a powerful Druid, id suspect you inherence some of her power as well as any from the royal blood line," Lotor nodded standing from his chair as he walked to lance.

"You possess great power," Lotor touched his hand gently to inspect it carefully. It sparked once again.

"What about you? You have any powers? Zarkon being your dad and all," Lance asked shrugging his hand back.

"No, my father held none, only reason he was powerful was because he... there was a drift and he died, quintessents brought him back," Lotor nodded looking away from lance for a while.

"Um what? You know that sounds awfully familiar. Hi, someone with similar back story as man who turned into a crazy dictator," Lance held out his hand sarcastically looking at Lotor wide eyes.

"You didn't know if I could've been another zarkon! Why would you risk that?!" Lance cried out as Lotor didn't look at him.

"Your not like zarkon, it's not the quintessents that made you mad, it's the thirst of its power, they bring out stronger emotions," Lotor sighed explaining.

"Your intentions are pure," he looked at lance gently and the altean scoffed.

"Pure? I'm not exactly mother Teresa," lance shook his head crossing his arms.

"Its your heart that holds it all, your aura so to speak, and for a paladin that's piloted two lions with such passionate qualities, your a good person lance, I wouldn't fret over the comparison," Lotor smiled down at him and lance pursed his lips.

"You still shouldn't have risked it, this universe doesn't need two zarkons," Lance gulped.

"This universe could use more people like you," Lotor smiled walking away and lance looked at him gently and smiled to himself covering his mouth.

"So what am I suppose to do with this power then? Stay here and just ignore it?" Lance asked leaning on the desk still bored.

Lotor thought for a moment and smiled at an idea.

"Lets see how powerful you are then, we both could use some fresh air I believe," Lotor nodded grabbing his sword and lance punched the air behind his back, finally leaving.

"Here," Lotor tossed a cloak to him as lance caught it confused but recognized it as a Druids cloak.

"Don't look at anyone, keep your eyes on me and show no emotions until we're off," Lotor told him sternly as he opened the door and lance put the cloak on nodding as he followed him out as he wiped the excitement from his face.

Lance followed Lotor down the halls as they had stern facials as soldiers and servants along the way bowed to the prince but some glared at him. But just as another Druid they didn't respect, nothing more nor less.

"Is the ship I requested prepared?" Lotor asked a galra as they approached the launch quarters.

"Yes sir... we didn't know you had another jointing you thought..." the galra raised an eye brow at lance.

"A Druid that will accompany on the personal mission," Lotor said emotionless.

"Of course sir, the ship is prepared for take off on your command," the galra nodded stepping away as Lotor walked to his ship with lance behind him.

"Where are we even going?" Lance asked as they got to the ship and Lotor assisted him in the ship.

"Wait till we've departed," Lotor whispered as he got in the pilots seat and closed the ships entrance.

"Launch," he stated as the galra cruisers door opened and his ship took off in a tic as purple lights followed behind it.

A few minutes went by as lance watched around them as he was curious of the whereabouts.

"So?" Lance raised an eye brow as he was sitting next to Lotor in the ship. Lotor closed off every communicating device of the ship and checked for trackers. He nodded satisfied with no results and let out a soft breath as he smiled a little at lance.

"A colony,"
