Awaken alone
Lance gasped as he bolted from a bed as he gripped the sheets tightly under his palms. He panted looking around frantically and confused not knowing the room he was in but he noticed he was alone. Lance began to calm down but still felt anxious as he moved on the bed as he sat on the side.
It felt like a silky cloud under him as the bed was very comfortable, softest thing he's ever been on in a long time, the beds at the castle weren't soft at all. But the bed also was cold as if it hasn't been used in years. His blue eyes gazed around the room as it had a desk and a side bathroom as well but there wasn't much in the room in general, it felt very lonely.
He pushed himself up from the bed as he walked to the desk curiously seeing it wasn't empty, it had files and papers with plans and such all over. Not organized.
Then realization hit him, this was Lotors room. He looked around more for anything to let him find anything on the prince that kept him as a prisoner. But it didn't make sense, why would Lotor bring him here? His own bedroom.
Lance walked back to the bed and saw how large it was but also how the side he wasn't sleeping on was nicely made and seemed untouched in a long time, no wrinkles, nothing, as if he hasn't slept in the bed ever. But there wasn't another bed in here so what did the prince sleep on then?
He hugged his body as he saw on the foot of the bed was a bench with cushions as it had a tray with a note for him.
Stay in the room, it's safest
Get rest and eat little at a time
Lance looked at the note as it had no signature but it also was hand written so he knew it was Lotors. It suited the prince as it was cursive but it also didn't seem the neatest, as it was loosely written and not tight and sharp like allura's handwriting.
He saw there was fruit of some sort and a drink in a wine glass. Lance recognized the drink from faded memories as it was bright pink and the smell was sweet like berries. He picked up the glass inspecting the drink as looking at it made his head hurt slightly.
"It'll help heal you and sooth the pain blue,"
"Blue, it'll help heal your wounds faster,"
Lance sipped the drink softly as he almost let out a whimper from the delicious taste of the drink, it was sweet like a strawberry and the texture was so smooth and cool. He didn't realize that he drank all of it until the drink was emptied from the glass.
He set it down and sat on the bench wondering his eyes around curiously of the princes room. What would the prince of the galra empire even have in a room? Torture chamber? Weapons? Trophies of victories?
It was weird because there was none of that, not even pictures. The walls where just bare. It felt sad and lonely just to be in as the walls where dark colors with purple light across the walls in a line as crystal chandelier hung above the bed as there was poles on each corner with a curtain dropped but they where pulled back due to the bed not being used mostly.
It was a beautiful room but Lance questioned why it was so unused and so sad to be in, it felt just empty.
"Lotor?" Lance went to the door he hoped was the exit but heard people outside and could tell they where guards. He opened the large door slowly with all his arms could do as his body still felt weak but was able to catch the guards attention.
"Oh your awake," one rolled their eyes.
"Um where is prince Lotor?" Lance asked softly.
"He's on a mission with those generals, pfft women hybrids, still can't believe he didn't get one full bred galra as a general," the guard scoffed.
"No half bred is loyal, they'll turn on him," the other waved off.
"What do you mean?" Lance asked leaning against the door.
"What's wrong with women?" He asked again confused.
"As generals, especially as the princes general, seems ridiculous," the guard laughed.
"What about Hagar?" Lance asked looking at them.
"She ain't no general, she's just zarkons witch, only reason Lotor keeps her around is cause she was zarkons power source basically," he shrugged.
"She's a Druid right?" The blue eyed one gulped.
"Yea, high priestess, hopefully Lotor will do some good for once in his life and get rid of that bitch," the galra laughed.
"I wouldn't say that to loud, she's not exactly warm welcomes," Lance looked down crossing his arms.
"Right you where a prisoner, Hagar does some twisted shit, remember commander Thace?" The galra snapped his fingers at the other.
"Yea but he was a traitor," he shrugged.
"Still, the stuff she did, yikes,"
Lance pursed his lips and closed the door slowly as he didn't want to talk anymore and the two galra guards looked at each other with wide eyes.
"Was it something I said?"
Lance sighed walking back to the tray of other sorts of fruits and picked one that looked like a grape vine and bit into half of the fruit as it tasted like oranges and Sprite soda but the fruit was white. He shrugged as it wasn't the worst thing ever and ate more boredly waiting and was left alone to his own thoughts.
