Nostalgia
Dedicated to lullabells
The title is what caught my attention.
Didn't know it would be poetry, and as a lover of one myself, I loved reading each and every word.
My favourite ones were where the poet reminisces about childhood, how we as adults crave the beauty of it, so innocently, yet we know, there is no going back and I guess, that is its real beauty.
I took my sweet time reading it and did not feel like rushing, for it was meant to be read with heart.
The sadness, the melancholy, the grief, all put in mere words. How one can make home out of words, still leaves me wondering.
My favourite part was the inspiration, the poet took from songs she was listening to. It all just became more delicate.
It made me want to have love and be heart broken, be it be sad but opens new windows and indeed, all that was described perfectly too.
The sadness that envelopes us at midnight and the glee we keep hiding, we can find our heart beating with such poems. Honestly, there were poems that made me want to stop, take a breath and re-read.
I felt like a thirsty wolf, and the poems were indeed the water to my soul. At times, it was so soothing, it made me want to sit back and just smile, remembering my most beautiful, as well as sad memories.
The story of a writer was put delicately too, the struggle one goes through, to make up such perfect pieces left me in awe.
The departure was penned perfectly too. The goodbye, although did hurt, but one can lock it in his heart.
Really, really, had an amazing time reading each and every piece.
Might have also developed a thing for neon too. ;)
Huge respect, appreciation and a lot of admiration to the writer.
Had a lovely time. ♡
