And We Meet Again

It was that night of the year again. The night when the barriers between the living and the dead are lifted. The night when the warriors of Heaven and Hell put down their weapons and allow themselves one night of recreation, one night of enjoyment. The night where I can finally meet my wife, Archangel Michael once again. As many of you are wondering, I'd like to introduce myself--I am Lucifer, the king of Hell. And this tale of love is peppered with chaos.

We met last year. It was to be one night of real peace and quiet. I was tired of all the battles and wars. Not to mention the to-and-fro of constant exchanging barbs with each other.I am different from the Angels, and have my soul damned to eternity, but damn...that takes a toll on my not-so-existent psyche or whatever you call it. I had met Michael before. Correction--I had fought with Michael before, and was acquainted with her, but that night it seems that Halloween cast a spell on the world and the entire universe. All the realms willingly came under its magic.. Netherdawn was favourite our go-to destination in the Helos realm. Never thought I'd find Michael there. It seems she was lost during transit. She was supposed to go to Ethereal and by a twist of the cosmic ray, channelised here in Netherdawn. She crashed right into the Hell's Horses, breaking the mechanical white horse. Her long, black, flowing hair tangled with my curly tresses, causing me to hurl together with her with on the ground with a loud thud. While the shocked owner-one of the four horsemen, gasped in horror... Her first words were,"What the hell happened?" All I could do was, stare at my sore hands and rub my broken ass, a remnant of the recreational ride in the Fireland Amusement Park.(No worries at the injuries, as an eternal, I've auto-healing. I heal automatically as soon as I bruise myself)

Grudgingly, I helped her get to her feet. She was aware of the something gone wrong somewhere. After many failed attempts to link with a flick of her wrist to Gabriel, she was desperate to go back to Ethereal to be with her friends. She wanted to leave us so badly. As her enemy number one, I understood her wariness, her morbid distrust of us. So I, in the best polite tone I could muster, suggested that I take her to Ethereal. She vehemently denied me escorting her, thinking that I had something vile in mind. With the night running out, the fear of being stuck here for a year, intensified. I dragged her through the corridors leading to Ethereal. She cursed and resisted all the way, even bit my arm in the process. As I put her on the chaotic beam, she said a soft, almost undetected, "Thanks." It's been years since that fateful day on Netherdawn, and we are married now. I'm so eager to meet my wife again after one year.
